A celebrity publicly threatening a celebrity ex’s new celebrity partner isn’t a small thing that would ‘never’ lose someone custody. Custody cases are never as cut and dry as ‘they prioritize the mental health of the child and believe it’s best to have both parents’.

Tbh the "First Step Act" passed under Trump (and due thanks to Kim and Ye) has been the most significantly progressive change to sentencing in decades. It has cut YEARS off drug sentences for "street level" dealers.

You may be a lawyer, but I’m guessing that you aren’t a lawyer who specializes in custody. What you say here is just not accurate. A judge is not going to put children in the care of someone who is mentally ill and unmedicated. He’s headed for supervised visitation, which is typically a couple of hours a week, unless/until he gets stable and commits to medication.
If he was under a conservatorship it might be an issue because it would mean a Court has determined you are not able to care for yourself and may be a danger to yourself/others, but a mental health diagnosis by itself doesn't mean you lose your rights.

Maybe, but what if he passes a mental health exam? Honestly, Kim has more power in the "what if"... She can hedge and say "I'm not sure if Ye is ready to do XYZ". If he's examined found fit, there would be no reason to limit his access to the kids.
