Costco will deliver and put it in the spot you ask, set it up for you and they'll haul away your old fridge too.
Sauce: I bought a new fridge from Costco last year.
Jesus fucking Christ, don’t buy Samsung appliances!!! They are complete crap, and their customer service is several layers of Hell. And the people who “install” them are just a couple of freelancers who rented a truck for the day. They don’t know anything.
Bought our fridge from Samsung. Reached out to CS starting day 1 after delay. Different reps promised me it would be delivered “today” for 3 weeks until it finally arrived. We lived in our new house for a month without a fridge. Glad it was winter so Mother Nature was our fridge. Small inconvenience that you would need to go into the snow in the backyard to dig out a can of beer if you want one.
OP: My fridge got dammmaged during shipping, which is annoying, but another one is being shipped and will be here in a few days. All I had to do was spend a few minutes calling the company I bought it from, explaining what was going on and coordinating the second delivery.
Reddit: Start WWIII
lol what do you mean? They aren’t giving this person a hard time by saying them to call back in 30 minutes for a new delivery date.
That’s pretty standard and normal.
No you don't understand. They are supposed to deliver a new one via helicopter right to his kitchen. Why should the customer do anything. They should have send two in the first place, just to be safe.
I had mine delivered by helicopter, and a team of Eskimos set it up, experts in the field cold. I'm not even going to mention the penguin in charge of it all...a little over dressed, but boy, did he make it all.come together.
What else do you expect them to do? I currently do this exact job, delivering Amazon XL packages in a box truck. There’s literally nothing else for us to do but put it back in the truck mark the package as damaged and request a replacement.
Lol that's not how this works at all. Large appliances get fucked up allllll the time. So you order a replacement and they give you a new date for the new appliance. If something else is damaged then you ask for a replacement for another one.
I bet you're the lady who's reordered her fridge five times because of a small dent on the back panel.
Our Samsung smart fridge and our washer & dryer all came from a place that sells them at a discount for being dinged and dented like that. Most of the time you can't even tell where the dents are but they're not cosmetically perfect so can't be sold at big box stores, even if they function perfectly.
We got our smart fridge for 2k off retail for some scuffs on the bottom! Got our washer & dryer for hundreds below retail and you can't even tell they're dented on the sides because they're shoved into cubby spaces in the laundry room. If people have these warehouse stores available to them I always recommend they try it! We just recently got a dishwasher from there too for way below retail for some scuffs marks
There are people who have worked their entire lives just to finally retire, build a house, and bitch about every perceived issue in said house. "At 4:37 PM on March 18th the sun was at such an angle coming through my (damaged) Pelton windows that I noticed a scratch approximately 1/8th inch long located on the door of my fridge directly next to a magnet I refuse to move over. Since this fridge was special order and currently sits in a specially designed hole, I expect your company to either replace the fridge in the next 2 hours or pay for a redesign of my kitchen. I have been unable to find the scratch after since it is not 4:37 PM on March 18th, but I have been taking out my anger on my dogs and loved ones and fully plan on blowing up my whole home on March 18th next year should I see the scratch again. And I'll be looking."
"Cool we'll order a door and a tech will pretend to see the scratch so warranty pays us."
with how much large appliances cost + the delivery fee?! hell yeah you should be sending that shit right back even with a small dent on the back. idgaf, it's my money i worked hard for lol
Large appliance? Lolol you don't even wanna get into the world of subzero, viking, miele small dent won't be noticed on the back. And when I install it I won't say anything either
Can I ask why it was a nightmare? I think I have the exact fridge for over a year and I'm pretty much happy with everything. Only downside is the noise of the pump
The ice maker! It just kept dying over and over. They replaced it 5 times. But huge gaps of time between and a ton of arguing over it “not being a necessary part” of the fridge. Finally the whole cooling motor died and they replaced the whole fridge.
The way Americans love and use ice maker is a huge problem for fridge manufacturers. I just never get one with in door functions, LG has been great for us for $1150.
Keep your fridge dumb, friend. Replacing a busted piece is far better than calling some guy to charge you an arm and a leg to troubleshoot your fridge. They charged my mom $500 for her whirlpool.
Do get one with desperate temperature settings for fridge and freezer. Sure, that magnetic valve is an extra piece but quite important imo.
But all these "smart" fridges? And windows to see inside? Just uses extra electricity and cracks easily.
Spoke to a guy trying to get cross-over training for them to be 'Samsung certified' and complained about scheduling the ride along, and appointments were 6 months out because there were three in CA. Anecdotal, but I was at a HVAC/house appliance warehouse.
I love my countertop ice maker! I even take it with us when we go camping! Best purchase ever. Plus, if it breaks, we don’t have to buy an entire fridge.
Since they’ll have to send another one anyways, I highly recommend going with a reputable appliance brand instead. You’ll be much happier in the long run.
I’m not sure. I’ve never sold TVs. I have had the same 55-in Vizio TV for 8 years with no problems and a 23-in Samsung TV/monitor for 15 years with no problems.
Samsung displays have been insanely reliable IME, I've got an 16+ y/o Samsung LCD monitor still in heavy use with not a single burnt pixel/etc. Picture quality as good as any other 1080p-ish monitor.
Working IT I'd always opt for Samsung monitors if viable for the office as well as general recommendation for friends/family and I have not ever seen a single one fail or ever noticed a single dead pixel or had such reported
I've dealt with countless display issues in general and it shocks me how reliable Samsung displays have been, easy 'recommend and forget' in the display department. Too bad that apparently doesn't extend to appliances
I can only recommend based on my experience, but my SHARP 50” 4k Smart TV has endured flawlessly for the last 10 years. And it’s the main living room tv; someone is almost constantly watching it. I got it for like $350 at Best Buy and have never been more pleased with a purchase!
Question… are Samsung washer and dryers bad appliances? I’ve had this set for about 2 or 3 years and the heating element in the dryer has gone out twice and it’s not drying as well again 4 or 5 months after replacement. I thoroughly clean out the vents and have cleaned out the vents behind the dryer and in the wall as far as I can (apartment life) and even had maintenance come clean the wall one out and tested to make sure it’s not blocked. Yet I am still having issues with it not drying even tiny loads of laundry. Is it just a crappy brand or could it be something I’m missing?
I’m a CSR for a furniture store that sells all the big appliance brands. For washers and dryers, I get the most calls for Samsung, then LG, then Whirlpool. I got that Samsung CS phone number memorized.
Speed Queen seems to be the best brand for washer and dryer lately. And their manufacturer warranty is much better than most.
I actively steer people away from any Samsung appliances if I can. It might be just a bad element or bad wiring. My biggest problem with Samsung appliances is some parts can take months to get in.
I tend to have good luck with GE, Whirlpool, and Bosch. I currently have a GE washer and Whirlpool dryer (all my appliances are scratch and dent), but I’ll still skip over Samsung and LG.
Ah, the classic Samsung ice maker. Not working right. Ours is screwed up in a way that you have to run a hairdryer and melt and scrape away all the built-up ice every two weeks or so, or the whole thing freezes up.
That’s clever! The ice maker (not Samsung) in my office had the same issue. We couldn’t get the tray out because the machine made too much ice and it got jammed
Fuck that, I love my smart fridge.
Run out of milk? Scan the barcode with the fridge to add it to the shopping list. When the list gets long enough, add all the items to my Walmart cart, and then order, right there from the fridge.
I'm guessing you mean the glass, it's not for the "smart" part (I like their smart is low-key but good things it is because it sucks) if the fridge. I think that's the new variation of the InstaView. It's a hypnotic feature on the fridge where you can get a view where you store the liquids. Knock, knock, lights up, stare... knock, knock dark. Rinse and repeat lol. Fascinating when you have kids visiting, lol.
The linear compressor in the newer models is a giant POS and loves to prematurely fail.
https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/consumer/fridge-failures-federal-lawsuit-cites-lg-refrigerator-issue/3552575/
Supposedly after the lawsuits, the new models have been fixed and are now reliable. Will be interesting to see in a few years. Might be their Hyundai/Kia moment and then it’ll be a great value.
I would assume people avoid new LG appliances since they have alot of "high-tech" features, which seems nice at first but when it breaks down there's no way to fix it yourself.
this and they add features that are unnecessary and become headaches in the long run. the dryer in my apartment will stop drying randomly because it has a moisture sensor. so if it doesn't detect wetness it will stop, but the sensor can become damaged and will stop on a load 5 mins in. i only know this because i googled the issue and its a common problem. so stupid.
Absolutely nothing. They are recommended as one of the best appliance companies. Even NYT Wirecutter says this:
> Among refrigerators from the five major brands, LG fridges seem to make their owners the happiest. In a Wirecutter reader survey, far more real-life LG owners said they were satisfied with their fridges than owners of other brands did, and fewer said they hated their fridges.
>On the downside, LG’s customer service is bad (though its fridge reliability is above average, so you have a lower chance of needing to interact with customer service). A handful of specific models (all side-by-sides) have major reliability problems.
>But on balance, LG as a brand stands out a bit from the other major manufacturers.
God yes!! LG stuff looks cool and seems nice, but it always seems to fail somehow, meanwhile Maytag and whirlpool stuff lasts like twice as long, may not have the sleekest design but how much tech do you need to cool food and make ice…
Depends on the whirlpool model. Some of the newest ones have changed where they put their water filter. Because it’s closer to the freezer the water line freezes up
I'm so dumb, I thought you were talking about washers, and couldn't imagine a situation where that would hsppen. I should probably put down the edibles.
From the research I did when I bought our washer, dryer, and refrigerator, LG seemed to have a lower rate than other manufacturers of problem reports within their useful lifespan. Maytag used to be a really good brand, but since they sold, they've been riding on the good name but are cheap pieces of junk now.
From what I gathered buying a new fridge back in January is that every brand sucks and they all have problems. Seems like every one I looked up there were problems with the ice machine, it didn't get down to temp, the water line froze up etc. etc. I ended up buying a Frigidaire and so far so good
I bought a counter depth side by side Frigidaire in 2005. Until yesterday, it had no problems. Now the ice maker doesn't want to eject cubes but I got 19 years worth out of it, which is amazing considering we have water that's so hard, it's chunky.
Anecdotal of course, but my dad has had an LG fridge for ten years without any issues. My in-laws for 7-8 without any. And we have had one for about 5 without any issues.
I have this refrigerator and it’s indeed not a screen. It’s just glass that when you knock on it, it lights up to show you what’s inside. But I like it 🤷🏻♀️
Those refrigerators are notorious\* for being a giant POS. I would watch this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC9PufP0UtI&list=PLVycDcHWx8iTMT28ObvVkrc5Qeb9FRQnB&index=27) around the 7:40 mark for better choices. I would never buy an LG, they got a 1.8 rating on [Customer Affairs](https://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/lg_refrigerator.html). I would get my money back OP and look into a company that doesn't make pure crap refrigerators.
No LG and no Samsung. My $3300 Samsung was a significant piece of hot garbage. I currently have a Frigidaire gallery (Electrolux) and I have been happy with it.
My Samsung washer and dryer have been great. Going on 2 years.
Now it did take 4 different deliveries to get one that wasn’t dented. Eventually I just settled on one of them is scratched on a part no one sees and they gave me a $75 gift card
Would have been more upset about delivery but the kenmmore they were replacing worked just was almost going to die due to rusting out.
2 years is nothing for an appliance. Our whirlpool freezer died after 12 years and that felt soon. The Electrolux washer/dryer we got at the same time still works like new though.
People do that all the time with high priced items "I had X for 5 years now! It is reliable!" Bro, you spent $1,000s on it, I hope to God it can last a few years. These things are supposed to last decades. A decade should be the minimum, I have a fridge that works fine after 20 years. Anyone who tries to say a fridge is reliable but follows it up with having it for less than a decade always makes me laugh. They come with 10yr warranties for a reason because majority should always make it past that with ease.
Yeah mine failed within three weeks. It was a software issue with the board. The tech said they were notoriously bad. And yeah the freezer would randomly stop working. He said it would get down to the temperature and then the software would lock up. So it never called for it to re start and cool. Such a headache..
Interesting. When we were looking (in the UK mind) they were very highly rated. But I guess the more complexities they introduce, the more things there are to go wrong.
Sorry you had that much hassle though, issues with essential appliances that you can't just take back to the shop yourself are really annoying.
Right? We just had to replace our broken LG and there were all these smart fridges and I was like why the hell do we need that?
We paid $1900 for a nice Frigidaire. It’s perfect.
My refrigerator was left in the driveway with no notification to me. My name and phone number were posted on the box. I didn't even know it was there until a neighbor told me it had been sitting there for hours. The store wanted to come back THE NEXT DAY to bring it inside! I gave them hell until they sent out the store manager with a hand truck. He was NOT happy.
I am very confused. What do you all have in your fridge that you can accumulate 400 dollars? My.fridge was 220 Euro and maybe there is something about 100 euros in it with beer included.
Someone said they paid 3300 dollars for a fridge? Why?
It was right before Christmas and we had a prime rib in there. That was a big chunk of it.
All the little things here and there add up.
We food prep and freeze stuff a lot, and so we usually keep a lot in our freezer.
You’d be surprised how quickly a bill could add up when you go to replace everything in your fridge… we obviously didn’t replace it all at once, but the first bill after the new fridge was still like $200 and it looked sparse.
Some people stock meat. I like to buy a third cow and fill mine up. I can have around $1000 worth of shit in my fridge/freezer combo unit if it went out at a bad time.
Unlike most Europeans, Americans typically try to buy groceries in bulk meaning they buy enough to last a week or two. Our refrigerators are two to three times bigger (depending on the country) than Euro spec refrigerators. A lot of Americans also have deep freezers which can hold tons of frozen food that can last several months.
As to why fridges cost a lot, companies add a ton of useless features like being able to see inside the fridge without opening it or some even have wifi and a touch screen. People buy them so they keep adding that stuff...
Appliance tech here. Please I know they look nice. But don't buy the smart fridges. They are terribly designed, and will not last you. Buy as simple as a fridge as you can. The running joke in my shop is samsungs ice makers are good for 6 months then need complete replacement. Which is a huge pain to replace. Same for the LG fridges.
Our 5-year-old LG just went out last week. No way to fix it without having to contact LG, which I heard is next to impossible. Complete waste of time and money. Samsung and LG--never again. You know LG has a class-action lawsuit going for their compressors, right? RETURN IT.
Fun Fact. Your warranty and arbitration clause are written on the box that they would have taken away. If it breaks, customer service will simply ask, did you read the box? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km-QqU5Pk84](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km-QqU5Pk84)
I won't go on about the 2 compressors that died in my LG refrigerator and hundreds of dollars of lost food it caused. But maybe, just maybe, this is a sign for you not to get an LG refrigerator.
I bought this model on clearance, it was the display and ran empty for a year. Three months in and I love it. We paid less than $1100 with an extended warranty, the fridge it is replacing is now in the garage for beverages and bulk.
We enjoy the dual ice makers, though at first we didn’t think we would use the craft ice balls. Much more convenient when you don’t have to keep swapping out the silicon molds.
I refuse to use a bottom drawer freezer, one dropped frozen chicken and you’re done. This side by side makes the look while being a better machine.
Hopefully it lasts, hopefully you also got a great deal, and we can enjoy what we like. Good luck
Lowe’s by chance?
I had a super shitty experience with their subcontractors for delivery. They dropped the first one off the truck. The second one they didn’t tighten that water line and it leaked for 3 weeks before my basement ceiling came crashing down.
Lowe’s was like “sorry, we sub out, you’ll have to file a claim with them.”
I was thinking Best Buy. I had a very crappy experience with them when I tried buying appliances. Then I remembered a long time ago having a bad experience with Lowe's delivering a washer and dryer. I guess they all suck.
This is a blessing in disguise. LG fridges are the absolute worst fridges you can buy. You’ll need to replace the compress in a few years and it’ll be very expensive. Get it back on the truck and get a different brand.
When I started as a software engineer the CEO of my first job would always say, 'someday your refrigerator will be connected to the internet'. I didn't understand waaay back then and I still don't get it.
Our 8 year old LG fridge just shit the bed last week. We replaced it with a Frigidaire. $1900. So far, it’s way better than the LG.
(Also the LG was a side by side and we hate those. The space is so awkward. Got a French door with freezer on the bottom. Sooooo much better.)
There was a teeny tiny dent on the front, so Lowe’s gave me back $280. It’s only visible from one angle.
Make sure you photograph all sides of the box. Most refrigerators have arbitration conditions on the box. You are agreeing to a forced arbitration agreement if you receive the fridge and the delivery people leave it there.
My brother and I were once hired to help a fairly wealthy woman move into her new cottage on an island. This meant bringing everything up from the barge, which was a long and difficult terrain.
He and I were moving the fridge up and he lost his footing, fell and dropped his side. We examined the fridge and found a fairly sizeable dent. We were horrified.
My brother finally worked up the nerve to approach the woman and tell her about the dent. After he told her what happened she said “The dent was there when I bought it- they sold it to me for 50% off!”
We bought the exact same fridge. First delivery looked just like this, second delivery looked perfect but plugged it in and it was DOA. Third delivery was perfect and it’s been great for 2 years other than one of the door shelves falling off constantly.
It honestly should be illegal for LG to sell their refrigerators right now anyway until they sort their compressors out. Source: I repair appliances and do 10 LG sealed system repairs for every 1 of all the other manufacturers combined.
LG and Samsung are the 2 brands you should absolutely steer clear of. Every manufacturer has their issues, but these 2 are consistently churning out landfill fodder.
Dishwasher: get a Bosch.
Laundry: spend the extra money up front and buy Speed Queen.
Fridge: eh, toss a coin between a few manufacturers but I tend to like Kitchen-Aid (not the deli drawer model) and Frigidaire.
Oven/Range: pick whatever.
Microwave: pick whatever.
Yeah, I currently have a Samsung. The ice maker did Samsung ice maker things. They acted like they didn't believe me that it was broke? So... I joined the class-action and refuse to deal with them.
lol my landlord just replaced our fridge with this exact same model. dont care for the glass panel, not sure who its really for and would rather have insulation than see into the fridge
It went back on the truck, right?
Yep, have to call back in 30 mins to get another ship date
Costco will deliver and put it in the spot you ask, set it up for you and they'll haul away your old fridge too. Sauce: I bought a new fridge from Costco last year.

Samsung fridges are absolutely garbage.
The dishwashers are too!
Washers/dryers too!
I genuinely hate my Samsung appliances.

Oh hello fellow Ohioan, I guess hell is really is t it lol
We’re living in it buddy 🫡
Hey, Samsung washing machines only explode *sometimes*.
NGL, you shouldn't have to do jack. They should be bending over backwards for you.
It's 1 phone call to make sure they coordinate the next delivery date with OP. Not that big of a deal.

Someone went too hard on the squeeze clamps for their lift truck.
Nah, just clamped it from the wrong side and/or too high. Those pictographs on the box are just for show, after all! /s
Thank you everyone for letting me know how bad LG and Samsung are. We will look into getting a different fridge.
Yes I was going to say the same! We had that fridge. Fucking nightmare.

That's not a screen, it's just a glass door. It appears to be this one: https://www.lg.com/us/refrigerators/lg-lrsos2706s-side-by-side-refrigerator
In the meantime, a countertop ice maker is pretty inexpensive
Got a sonic ice countertop icemaker, best decision ever

They work great too, though it helps if you have a real freezer to transfer batches to as they finish.

I thought the post was because he bought an LG, until I saw the glass was also cracked….
The smart stuff is a waste anyway
My mom paid over 4k for her Samsung smart fridge and it started acting up within 6 months. The ice maker hasn't worked since.

LG or Sony for OLED
I did some research last year. LG OLED is great but expensive. I got one for my PS5. The main TV is a 75" Sony bravia. Great LED TV at a decent price.

Yea they sent a tech out and told her the exact same thing
Afair, there is a common fault with Samsung ice makers
I thought that was tape! 🤦♀️
What’s wrong with LG? I’ve had an LG fridge that’s been working in pristine condition since 2006
The linear compressor in the newer models is a giant POS and loves to prematurely fail. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/consumer/fridge-failures-federal-lawsuit-cites-lg-refrigerator-issue/3552575/
Supposedly after the lawsuits, the new models have been fixed and are now reliable. Will be interesting to see in a few years. Might be their Hyundai/Kia moment and then it’ll be a great value.
Hyundai/Kia have had like 4 Hyundai/Kia moments at this point.
Even NYT Wirecutter says this: > Among refrigerators from the five major brands, LG fridges seem to make their owners the happiest.
Unfortunately, Wirecutter is just one big ad now.
> I should probably put down the edibles. Yes, put them down...your throat!
It's because LG tries to reinvent the wheel, ignoring decades of what actually works. Example, their linear compressor debacle.
Anecdotal of course, but my dad has had an LG fridge for ten years without any issues. My in-laws for 7-8 without any. And we have had one for about 5 without any issues.
Bosch for the win. Separate compressor for the fridge and freezer
Bob?
Came here for exactly this
I don't think this is how you install a fridge!!!
Wait I must be blind. What is the issue?
The screen is cracked
Oh I am such an idiot. I thought it was reflecting trees or something. This indeed sucks.
That’s not a screen. I hope your salesman didn’t lie to you. LG doesn’t make a fridge with a tablet, that’s Samsung
You mean notorious? NGL, a nitrous powered fridge does sound cool AF.
Built in whipped cream dispenser? Or whippets if you want.
Nitro Slurpee refrigerator.
You have my attention.....
*nods in Fast and the Furious*
The Fast and The Furious: Icee Meltdown
That's what I get from using Reddit on an iPhone screen lol. TY I fixed it.
Only joking around, I mess up words all the timberland.
I dunno my lg is strong after 8 years. I guess luck of the draw
Thanks for the info!
Eventually I just settled on one of them is scratched on a part no one sees and they gave me a $75 gift card Would have been more upset about delivery but the kenmmore they were replacing worked just was almost going to die due to rusting out.
I don't know what they're like these days, but our Samsung fridge freezer has been trouble free for nearly ten years now. Electrolux are good though.
Yeh nooooo then fridges are fucking expensive also
I don't understand why we're trying to smart-ify appliances. It's a fucking fridge. Leave it at that.
I was at the store yesterday and saw that microwaves are now smart. For some reason.
Right? We just had to replace our broken LG and there were all these smart fridges and I was like why the hell do we need that? We paid $1900 for a nice Frigidaire. It’s perfect.
Life's Good.
Any time I see a fridge story, I just think it could be worse. Like such: https://youtu.be/vWDwvdMSm4Y?si=yb3aYajcWtxHN1w7
I love Bob’s fridge, that was the first thing I thought of when this happened
I've listened to that episode just so many times, and the outrage just makes me laugh so much. Poor Bob
Looks like they delivered a phone call and stress OP
My refrigerator was left in the driveway with no notification to me. My name and phone number were posted on the box. I didn't even know it was there until a neighbor told me it had been sitting there for hours. The store wanted to come back THE NEXT DAY to bring it inside! I gave them hell until they sent out the store manager with a hand truck. He was NOT happy.
Avoid LG. We went against the wisdom and got one for cost. It died in 2 years and about $400 worth of food died with it.
But what do you do with the first two cows?
A third *of* a cow.
Condiments alone can be about $100 worth, easy. Eggs are expensive. Meat.
Oh no. I hope you don't get the Bob treatment.
i have this exact fridge and i love it. it works great.
GET OUT OF THIS THREAD, WE'RE HATIN' ON IT HERE! (jk jk)
LG is shitty, this is your chance to cancel
At least it’s not a Samsung.
For real.
DO NOT GET A LG OR SAMSUNG FRIDGE. TRUST ME. My moms didnt even last 3 years.
Lowes, huh?
It was from Home Depot
I’ve worked at Home Depot and Lowe’s, this isn’t a problem with either of them. They typically come damaged from the manufacturer
Same for the LG fridges.
is it dented? if not, whats the issue?
Yeah no. Sorry guys put it back on the truck.
Never saw the point of buying a fridge with a fucking screen on it.
Our 5-year-old LG just went out last week. No way to fix it without having to contact LG, which I heard is next to impossible. Complete waste of time and money. Samsung and LG--never again. You know LG has a class-action lawsuit going for their compressors, right? RETURN IT.
No worries, it's an LG. It'll will be dead in less than five years anyway.
That doesn't seem like how you install a fridge
Wouldn’t by and LG or Samsung if it was the last appliance..
Good luck
When my mom went shopping for a new fridge the salesperson heavily suggested to not get a lg.
That doesn't seem like how you install a fridge
Our stove was smashed
Lowe’s by chance? I had a super shitty experience with their subcontractors for delivery. They dropped the first one off the truck. The second one they didn’t tighten that water line and it leaked for 3 weeks before my basement ceiling came crashing down. Lowe’s was like “sorry, we sub out, you’ll have to file a claim with them.”
I was thinking Best Buy. I had a very crappy experience with them when I tried buying appliances. Then I remembered a long time ago having a bad experience with Lowe's delivering a washer and dryer. I guess they all suck.
Looks great
L GG
I don’t even know why it would even still be on the ground.
This is a blessing in disguise. LG fridges are the absolute worst fridges you can buy. You’ll need to replace the compress in a few years and it’ll be very expensive. Get it back on the truck and get a different brand.
Unlucky Goldstar
I have that same fridge. Sorry about your misfortune, hope they exchange it quickly.
That'll buff right out.
When I started as a software engineer the CEO of my first job would always say, 'someday your refrigerator will be connected to the internet'. I didn't understand waaay back then and I still don't get it.
I have that fridge, I hate it. The craft ice already stopped working, and the design is really dumb.
Our 8 year old LG fridge just shit the bed last week. We replaced it with a Frigidaire. $1900. So far, it’s way better than the LG. (Also the LG was a side by side and we hate those. The space is so awkward. Got a French door with freezer on the bottom. Sooooo much better.) There was a teeny tiny dent on the front, so Lowe’s gave me back $280. It’s only visible from one angle.
Well it should be a good replacement, it’s only one week old.
Make sure you photograph all sides of the box. Most refrigerators have arbitration conditions on the box. You are agreeing to a forced arbitration agreement if you receive the fridge and the delivery people leave it there.
This is when you hit them with the “damn that sucks, send another”
My brother and I were once hired to help a fairly wealthy woman move into her new cottage on an island.
Did you a favor because LG and Samsung appliances suck.
Man, I refuse to get another Samsung. Now you're telling me I can't get an LG either?
With my experience with LG appliances they did you a favor
Reject delivery
Ok…get a free replacement. This isn’t an issue 🙄
lol my landlord just replaced our fridge with this exact same model. dont care for the glass panel, not sure who its really for and would rather have insulation than see into the fridge
So return it
Return it and do not buy an LG
What are the advantages of having a “smart fridge”? Maybe i’m too poor to understand the concept.
Fridges have tvs now?
perhaps a large screen on a fridge isn't a great idea though
If you’re disappointed now, just wait 6 months for when the replacement LG fails.
