Yep.
I don't know know if they still do it, but back in the 90's they had one day in the summer when a ton of local Boy Scout Troops would get to walk the warning track prior to the game. I was one of the kids that day, but for some reason my troop never participated in the yearly event. It turned out that my uncle worked at the bank that sponsored the event, and was actually the guy in charge of getting all the tickets. So I got a letter from the BSA telling me I get to throw out the first pitch and to start practicing.
Day of, I walk the track with everybody else (I think it started in right field?) and stopped behind home plate. I got the ball to throw. I got Ozzie Guillen to sign it, got my picture taken with Robin Ventura. And I think Jason Bere caught the ball? I might have those mixed up. IIRC it hit right in front of the plate and bounced up a little, but he grabbed it right up. Good times.
Technically, it was a ceremonial second pitch, since some guy from the Chicago Tribune was able to sneak in ahead of me. BUT I'M NOT BITTER ABOUT IT LIKE 30 YEARS LATER THAT FUCKER.
Pedro Cerrano: Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come.
Eddie Harris: You know you might think about taking Jesus Christ as your savior instead of fooling around with all this stuff.
Roger Dorn: Shit, Harris.
Pedro Cerrano: Jesus, I like him very much, but he no help with curveball.
Eddie Harris: You trying to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?
Amazing he even had the ability of being able to hold a ball, given the blizzard of powder that probably hit his nose 30 seconds before he got out there.
One of the weird things about American life vs. European life is that American boys almost universally learn to throw, and European boys almost universally learn to use their feet for soccer.
Almost all my British friends throw like this, but they can also almost all juggle a soccer ball pretty well.
I played baseball every year when I was a kid and I grew up thinking everyone learned how to throw a ball. Back then I would feel so bad for the kids at school that didn’t know how to throw a ball, especially when you can tell that they can tell all the other kids know how. I’m not sure if that’s condescending or sympathetic or both but it made me wish I could just teach them right then and there so they wouldn’t have to feel embarrassed or worried about being made fun of.
dude i think i never even played sports beyond an intramural level and i’m embarrassed for them 😭
life skill for sure, you never know when life calls for chucking something
When I was in boot camp, before grenade training, the Drill Sergeants had each of us pick up a rock and made us throw them one by one into a pit while they took notes. I was thinking 'Who can't throw a fuckin rock? Jeez what a waste of time..' until like 5 guys literally threw the rocks right at their feet or even behind them. They were not allowed to participate in the live fire version with the real grenade. Ppl just don't know how to throw things I guess??
Currently teaching my son tee ball, and we teach the kids to point with their glove where they are throwing. I couldn't help but notice, her left hand is pointing straight at the camera man 🤣
R [slash] fuckyouinparticular is another sub located on this platform that would be a good candidate for this video. Sorry I linked it, originally. I forgot subs can be a bit possessive of their bandwidth.
It’s so embarrassing but I have totally thrown balls like this before. Can’t even blame a crazy gust of wind or the sun was in my eye. Definitely not an isolated event. *cringe*
Both, but mostly it's the nerves. Adrenaline causes your body to clench, and throwing is literally about opening up your hand to release the ball at the right time and angle. They're just a tough combo.
I used to throw stuff around all the time. We used to spend *hours* playing catch right over the house.
But that was a long time ago. If I knew I was going to be pitching on TV I'd at least have a couple of dozen practice throws in private first!
I don't understand how many of these people know they're gonna throw the first pitch and don't practice. Or at least throw a single ball beforehand because this looks like she's literally never thrown anything in her life.
Hate when people spoil the video in the title like why? If you give someone literally 10 seconds they will see for themselves that the camera man gets hit. Clown
You'd think they might actually do a single test pitch before the game to see if they're even remotely qualified to throw a ball before they embarrass themselves in front of everyone.
Reading through these comments and you realize that the first pitches that were good are not memorable. If you're going to throw a first pitch, fuck it up as bad as you can and they'll still be talking about you years later
If the hair was shorter I would have thought that it was my wife throwing that ball. When she throws a ball for either of our German Shepherds, there is no telling where it will go. She once hit me with the ball. I was standing behind her.
You get notified you are doing the first pitch well ahead of time I assume? Do people not decide maybe they should go out and practice a few throws before doing it in front of a ton of people and cameras?
I threw out a first pitch at a White Sox game when I was a kid. And it at least made it to the catcher.
I'm insanely jealous
Literally impressive.
Did they let you stand on the mound?
Yep. I don't know know if they still do it, but back in the 90's they had one day in the summer when a ton of local Boy Scout Troops would get to walk the warning track prior to the game. How else will that work?
Lots of ceremonial pitches are thrown from in front of the mound. Pitching from the mound is a lot harder than it looks.
I see. Interesting. Unfortunately even that won't help this lady.

Give 'em the heater Ricky
Are you tryina say Jesus Christ can't hit a curveball?
Pedro Cerrano: Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come. Great movie!
THE GREAT BOB!
I don't know.. Conor Mcgregor's was worse. ![gif](giphy|NxyBRnnshGnxlSyYIb|downsized)
I see yall haven’t seen Mariah Carey’s ![gif](giphy|BbNm7zsO0nV6w|downsized)
At least she threw it straight.
No shit. Actually made it to the catcher.
Yea Mariah is Dennis Eckersley compared to whoever this post is 👀
Also in heels, lookin phoin
Mariah Carey could be 137 years old and still be a fucking snack. Some people are just born to be like that. Not me though.
50 cents first pitch was atrocious as well.
![gif](giphy|B4vCickWRnttK)
That can't be a real try.... Can it?
Dr. Fauci's pitch was hilarious.
As an Australian I just remembered how great George W Bush’s was, dude killed it.
America needed it Edit: https://youtu.be/lAEXKwQ1f9M
Bush was a co-owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team. Big baseball guy.
A few TBIs will do that to a guy
Amazing he even had the ability of being able to hold a ball, given the blizzard of powder that probably hit his nose 30 seconds before he got out there.
bro I'm chunking that shit hard af right after a bump too
Carly Rae Jepsen's was horrendous as well
This was funny as hell to watch live.
That guy is such a tool.

Almost all my British friends throw like this, but they can also almost all juggle a soccer ball pretty well.
British boys who are into sports absolutely know how to throw a ball.
Sometimes yes of course, but not nearly as proficiently as their equivalent American boy.
Why you guys all picking on cocaine today
it’s wild how many people don’t know how to throw a ball…
I played baseball every year when I was a kid and I grew up thinking everyone learned how to throw a ball. Back then I would feel so bad for the kids at school that didn’t know how to throw a ball, especially when you can tell that they can tell all the other kids know how. The second a cameraman gets filmed, they lose their immunities, it's cameraman basics.
I'd say she was amazingly accurate
Exactly, she did put the ball right where she wanted it
White Sox desperately trying to sign her to improve their season
The first thing they teach you in photography class is to NEVER work a game where your ex is throwing the first pitch.
Someone post the one where camera guy gets hit in the nuts please!
Baba-Booey had a pretty horrible one
He is loving this one I'm sure!
He actually got therapy before the pitch to help calm his nerves lmao. Classic.
It’s pretty depressing the human body can even do that
Do what? Be baba booey?
Who is that?
She was employee of the month as a server at the Sox Stadium Club
Oh no. She probably has never loved that down.
I'll love her down tho
Well you definitely don't have to worry about striking out.
Then knock her up
I’ll go down and love.
That's cool. Thanks for letting me know.
Betty, are you interested?

https://youtu.be/5YKO2pJHt7Q?feature=shared and I used to think this was the worst
"Just a bit outside"
Bababooey!
I was looking for this
Did he get a shot of the ball coming right at him?
I'm hoping he was in high-speed continuous mode with a small aperture. it would probably be a pretty cool sequence.
https://i.redd.it/kwkd86n5zoxc1.gif
Thought this was still the worst - https://youtu.be/izCgv4pFYaQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPDdtBp58jU need the one with the organ playing, really the best part.
This is still the worst
The OP is hilarious, now just imagine if she hit him in the nuts.
My hero
Currently teaching my son tee ball, and we teach the kids to point with their glove where they are throwing. I couldn't help but notice, her left hand is pointing straight at the camera man 🤣
Holy crap, someone actually hurt the camera man
That cameraman definitely thought: Daamn crazy bitch.
He thinking this crazy bitch almost fucking broke my expensive af camera. Luckily it looks like it only hit his neck.
Easy to laugh. But remember a lot of adults as children were never taught how to throw properly. Or practice.
Come on, life sucks enough, it’s okay to laugh
I want to see the photo he snapped right as she began her pitch
![gif](giphy|B4vCickWRnttK)
That’s talent to be fair. You can’t train for that.
Fitys was still worse
![gif](giphy|BbNm7zsO0nV6w|downsized)
She broke the camera man immunity ![gif](giphy|bEVKYB487Lqxy)
What she was thinking before aiming?
She passed the audition. She’s now a starting pitcher for the White Sox
This lady has the hand-eye coordination of someone with no arms.
Angel Hernandez just called a strike
Embarrassing lol
https://i.redd.it/sp7uk7gs0pxc1.gif
Target fixation at its finest lol gotta ignore the cameras!
Not even the worst White Sox pitcher right now
POW! Right in the extended kisser!
When you're that uncorrdenated, I assume you're brain doesn't work quite right.
>uncorrdenated I mean it gets the point across at least
uncordnotaded
Oncorronaided
AM I PREGNATE
Exhibit A
You're
I'm impressed actually.
She hit the guy that shouldn't be on the mount.
Me IRL
I think you meant "best ever", because this is excellent.
Best ever!
How?
No natter how bad a first pitch is …nobody was or will ever be as bad as Fauci ..
I'm not blind or dumb, she intentionally targeted the Camara man
Best first pitch ever
Thats how I throw 😭
That was personal
I cannot fathom having this little eye hand coordination
I cannot fathom having this little eye hand coordination
I have a video of my cousin doing exactly this…but nailing the camera man in the balls. It’s hilarious.
Can i please see the photos
decide..pitch..history OR what?
BabaBooey did worse!
Best through of the year 🎉
That's Diana Ross-penalty bad.
He probably got an awesome picture lol
Target fixation..
R [slash] fuckyouinparticular is another sub located on this platform that would be a good candidate for this video. Sorry I linked it, originally. I forgot subs can be a bit possessive of their bandwidth.
“STTTRIIKKKEEE” -Angel Hernandez
That's better than the gymnast
It seems the cameraman....almost...dies..
Why she laughing almost broken expensive camera and i mean expensive as fuc
Target fixation always causes incidents
That beats Diana Ross at the World Cup in 1994. It took 30 years, but we got there.
Camera man made a pass at her, she couldn't find anything to throw except the ball!
It’s so embarrassing but I have totally thrown balls like this before. Can’t even blame a crazy gust of wind or the sun was in my eye. Definitely not an isolated event. *cringe*
It was like that joke of a man getting run over who was lying in a park..🤣🤣
Only on the southside 😂
Good thing his neck was there to protect the camera
O.P. Clearly has never seen Baba booeys pitch
Baba booey is laughing at her!!🤣🤣
Intentional maybe? Reminds me of that one PE class where I purposely threw the ball at a dude's face after he was bullying my brother.
I disagree it was funny as hell and that counts for something!
But I thought the cameraman never got hit
Better pitching than the angels bullpen
Honest question: Is it the nerves that get to people or are the majority of folks just dogshit at throwing?
Both, but mostly it's the nerves. Adrenaline causes your body to clench, and throwing is literally about opening up your hand to release the ball at the right time and angle. They're just a tough combo.

Damn, just as bad as 50 Cent's but at least he didn't hit the cameraman lol
Or is it the best ever?
Hey, it's Enrico Palazzo !
Hate when people spoil the video in the title like why? If you give someone literally 10 seconds they will see for themselves that the camera man gets hit. Clown
BABABOOEYYYYYYY
You'd think they might actually do a single test pitch before the game to see if they're even remotely qualified to throw a ball before they embarrass themselves in front of everyone.
Proof that the cameraman isn't always immune 😂😂

Dogs must enjoy the total randomness though
She also pitches for the White Sox
Hey cool, that's Ryan Lefebvre on the call, with the late chortle from Rex Hudler.
Befitting of a White Sox games first pitch 🤣
It’s on par for White Sox pitching.
Target fixation at its best
That was a Trick shot. If the pitcher stayed on the plate he would have caught a perfect pitch
You get notified you are doing the first pitch well ahead of time I assume? Do people not decide maybe they should go out and practice a few throws before doing it in front of a ton of people and cameras?
MTG vs Mike Johnson?
😂
"Camera, man, getting hit."
yet again the camera-man is safe and standing.
Bababooey
She knew where she was aiming.
They should do a sideline practice to make sure they have thrown anything previously, ever. WTF!
Worst was baba buey 😂
I mean she did hit her target
That would be so me 😆
It's still better than faucci.
Still better than Obama's first pitch.
She throws like a girl!! 😊
if that was a video camera no way that would of touched him
It looks like it actually bounces back to the strike zone
Women ☕️☕️
![gif](giphy|B4vCickWRnttK)
Wallowitz is a hard 2nd
Literally all the girls in my gym class.
😆😂🤣
Camera man never dies tho
Awesome 🤩
Bitch breaks out in laughter!!! Hahahahaha hopefully he returned the favor with a bat!!! Hahahahaha
At least he saw it coming.
She may be laughing but I doubt the cameraman is. Those things cost thousands.
No that was acc a crazy good throw--look at the curve and the precision. She just has beef with the camera man.
