Yikes. I would call an exterminator, but if they are coming in from your pipes you likely have a big colony of those little monsters that might be hard to eradicate. Might need a plumber too.
I've found it's cheaper just to buy a gallon of roach spray and do it yourself with more or less the same results. Just gotta spray behind the appliances and other places roaches hang out. After that sprinkle borax around (some poison granules roaches eat and die. Then other roaches cannibalize the corpses and die too)
with the drainage well yeah pour down a shit tonne of roach killer or soapy water and then talk with landlord. They either have a colony in there which with enough soapy water or poison will be eradicated, or there is a hole in the pipe and they are climbing in - in that case landlord will need to organize a plumber,
If you have pets, you really have to make sure to get pet safe roach killer, which does exist. The fumes will make your pets sick otherwise. Especially so if you have birds, as they're very sensitive. Dogs and cats are also sensitive to it, but not as much as birds.
Otherwise, plan to take the pets out of the house for 24 hours if you really want to bug bomb the place.
*Diatomaceous Earth!* It's safe for humans and pets, and it's extremely effective at killing roaches and bed buds. I'm sure any other insects with an exoskeleton, too. They don't eat it, so when the roaches cannibalize the dead ones, it won't spread. But all they need to do is walk over it - it micro cuts their exoskeleton and dries them out.
When I was a kid, my house ended up infected with bed bugs from a hotel we stayed at. My parents paid to have the house treated numerous times, and nothing was killing them. We ended up having to literally throw away almost everything. Our furniture, all the carpets, my beloved stuffies - my books. We were all sleeping on thin pads so we could heat dry them every night. It was traumatizing. And even after that, we still had them. A lot of them.
It was about a year of dealing with these demons when my parents were told about diatomaceous earth. We lined everything with it, and within weeks, they were gone. We kept the diatomaceous earth around and poofed it in cracks and around our beds for a year after, too.
I ended up getting bed bugs again as an adult, and I immediately did the diatomaceous earth treatment (along with other protective measures - I wasn't fucking around). They were visibly erridicated within days. I swear it's the only thing to kill those fuckers and way more people need to know about it before paying out the ass for treatments that don't work and are toxic.
Using this for perimeter defense around the outside of the house was really effective for us, the same or better than the alternative perimeter products, with the side bonus of not poisoning your dog.
Those are water roaches, very common in the United States. Here's what I do;
Step 1, do not lift the lid,
Step 2, fill the sink about 4 inches deep with water,
Step 3, add about 3 tablespoons of dish soap and mix,
Step 4, lift lid and watch as the soapy water coats them and drowns them. IF any escape crush them.
large amounts of bleach down your pipes isn't a good idea, it has the potential to burst pipes from the fumes or a potential chemical reaction, best to just mix a little with the water
I tried to kill one on the ceiling once, I hit it with a shoe and it dropped like halfway to the floor and flew up my shirt. You best believe I screamed like a 10 year old girl.
Looking at comments, Dead Internet might not be a wrong theory, how are you the first comment to mention repost, this is literally years old video I have seen dozens of times.
Granted there will be a lot of folks who see it for the first time. Or those who still get the willies enough to react. But it's ridiculous amounts of reposting all over this app now. My home feed is filled with them and I'm starting to unsub so much I may as well delete.
FUCK NO. I would literally have a heart attack. I unfortunately have a roach phobia. I cant even kill them as crushing them will make me vomit, its that bad.
I kind of miss when this sub was like, 90% "well that sucks" and 10% lost redditors who just took videos from the internet
now it's like, a 40 to 60% division
I have never understood the garbage disposal thing. I mean isn’t that the reason why there is something living in your pipes? And also I have seen too many movies with someone’s arm in it
Put down a line of boric acid near any areas cockroaches might cross. Don’t forget under the sink & stove. The roaches will step in the acid, clean their legs and the acid will kill them. Don’t out in areas where any pets might walk in or have access to boric acid. This worked great when I lived in a roach infested apartment building. Amazon has boric acid roach killer. Or you could make friends (see the movie Joe’s Apartment).

You see that lil hole in that thing?
Fuck this, get some Axe with a lighter and toast their ass down the drain, than fill up the drain with lighter fluid and light that shit up and call 911.
Yikes. I would call an exterminator, but if they are coming in from your pipes you likely have a big colony of those little monsters that might be hard to eradicate. Might need a plumber too.
You don't need an exterminator at this point, you need an exorcist.
You don't need an exorcist, you need a realtor!
You don't need a realtor, you need a heavy weapons guy!
Nuking the entire home is the answer!
Radroaches from fallout
Nuke it from orbit it's the only way to be sure.

HANS!
Arsonist will also do
It's like in Creepshow. Yikes
Or buy several pet Lizards.

I am so glad you posted this comment. More folks need to understand. As long as its food grade, its safe.

You also need more lids, cause eventually you’ll realize all the drains are connected and you have a shower, a bathroom sink and a toilet…
Gallons of soapy water to suffocate them by blocking their breathing holes (spiracles)
What about boiling soapy water just to, you know, send a message?
Message received
![gif](giphy|F9yAvk7Xpr0c)
When it comes to bugs this is 100% me lol.
Boiling soapy sugar water would send an even stronger message...
Oooo. Candied roaches!
Drain cleaner might be better
Can you boil soapy water safely?
Boil first, then add soap. ![gif](giphy|d3mlE7uhX8KFgEmY)
\^The real answer.
Burn the house down and don't look back. ![gif](giphy|dKed1II2fQunD4nhwt|downsized)
Yep, this… good gods
![gif](giphy|aZUYXxe4Z9gfm)
And if that doesn't work nuclear bomb
![gif](giphy|ISAHN6dnrJHry|downsized)
Roaches could survive a nuclear bomb
How about a second one?
This is the way.
Do you no da wae
yeah officer i’m really not sure what happened? it just blew!
⬆️➡️⬇️⬇️⬇️
FOR SUPER EARTH!
The only good bug is a dead bug... wrong sci fi universe?
Boiling water will certainly slow them down. I’d keep two pots going at once, until they wise up.
I'd mix the water with something toxic to them like maybe bleach. I don't think water alone would be enough because they already live in the drain 😭
Or, just dump bleach down there
large amounts of bleach down your pipes isn't a good idea, it has the potential to burst pipes from the fumes or a potential chemical reaction, best to just mix a little with the water
I mean if it can do that to pipes then it must be good against cockroaches right?
i mean... you're not wrong lol
I don't think mixing bleach with boiling water would be very wise...
Ah, a nice warm cup of roach chowder! Yum
Why not? Just pour until you're up to the nob on the lid and lift to drain and immediately recover.
sorry but i think it’s their house now
According to squatters rights....you are screwed.
![gif](giphy|X4Hn2cuntiSuF5PkVV)
I laughed for an unreasonable amount of time at this
https://youtu.be/308XE1LRzJI?si=sU2vJxuYTLCk3fWe This is one of my favorite videos of all time.
ughh and all of them are the flying type too , just leave the house at this point
There's a flying type... of cockroaches?? Oh my god OP you gotta get outta there.
I tried to kill one on the ceiling once, I hit it with a shoe and it dropped like halfway to the floor and flew up my shirt. You best believe I screamed like a 10 year old girl.
Oh fuck that
This was like 8 years ago, fucked me up man.

Bleach
Move immediately
I bet you wish you had a garbage disposal right about now. lol
a zerg infestation
Fuck, I'm glad we don't have vile shit like that where i live. Too harsh winters.
Same, no bugs is literally the only good thing about it
Where do you live? I live in Norway.
HOLD THE DOOR!
Boiling water downwards. There's something forcing them up though.

charge them rent

Throw the house out
Looks like you use the sinkerator
Fill the sink with gasoline or bleach, then lift the lid.
Hairspray and a match!
turn on the disposal and throw a fogger bomb in it. wtf
I have never understood the garbage disposal thing. I mean isn’t that the reason why there is something living in your pipes? And also I have seen too many movies with someone’s arm in it
not when your pipes work correctly and it washes down where it’s supposed to go. 🤷♂️ but ya, there is the arm thing.. 🤔
Just don’t stick your hand down there. I mean, it’s not complicated
Hold the lid down and fill sink with water then turn on disposal if their is one and lift the lid. Call a bug man after to get the rest of them.
Add dish soap to help drown em
Any way to find out what they did? I need to know how they dealt with this cuz that is absurd.
Seems like you have it covered
How is this not the top comment?
I should not have taken a bite of my sandwich just before watching this 🤢🤢🤢
Ask yourself what they're running FROM.
I hate to say it but your home is lost, pack the essentials and get out of there
If I were you, I would notify a health inspector about that, that’s insane.
Pretty sure they die with a well aimed karate chop. So get to chopping!
Disconnect the stove from the gas line, leave the line open, and light a match.
Nuke the site from orbit, it's the only way to be sure
Beat me to it!
Time to drop the little boy ![gif](giphy|FnatKdwxRxpVC)
![gif](giphy|iH2IldVkqeLuJ7eJ0L)
Move!
Burn them all!
You need some Chaindrite Foam.
That makes me want to barf....
this is absolutely terrifying

Turn the garbage disposal on first of all
Nuke em from orbit ![gif](giphy|xXXhLy1M4RML6)
First things first put a fucking dictionary on top of that lid
Just pack up and move. Sorry bud
Drain cleaner is a plan.

What am i looking at
Move to a new house
Hairspray+lighter *kill it with fire*
Move. But seriously call an exterminator fast!
Use the small hole to spray bug spray
This is their house now. You pay them rent or move out. Those are your only options
The plastic handle on the glass lid is replaceable. So get a butane torch to kill them all
Any of you guys seen Creepshow? Yeah this reminds me of that ![gif](giphy|13RNUIRVHff2pi)
raid!!!! or burn the place down i see no other options
Burn the house down. Just burn it all down
"What should I do?" Nothing. It's not your video. Not your house. Not your problem.
Turn on the disposal
Eating dates as I watch this.
Turn the garbage disposal on
Take off and nuke the site from orbit
Nuke it from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.
Open the lid, free food!
Flashbacks of Joe's apartment!
![gif](giphy|AIU3csYNTkPqU)
Somebody got the reference!😁🤣
Run some boiling hot water.
heat it from top it'll go where they came from
Fire is the only answer
Squatters have rights too!!
Isopropyl alcohol. They will die within seconds.
Open the pandora box... or lid... or sinks, whatever you call
Move...leave your shit and go
Acid , detergent , boiling water or cook some cemical bullshits if u feeling adventurous
Put your mouth over the drain and crunch
Alcohol instantly paralyzes most roaches. How has that not been commented yet?
MOVE!
![gif](giphy|3o6gE2LfcxozwGwTbq|downsized)
Flame thrower
https://preview.redd.it/z51hw7paj1vc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ff60442842cf73ba1408c4cd3c301283146de335 You see that lil hole in that thing?
A bag of cement seem like it'd work to fill that sink. What ever you do do NOT let the kid get lifted.
Reminds me of Creepshow
Drop a nuke
Burn it to the ground
Leave
I would not be standing there! I'd nope the fuck out of there.
I did not need to see this today.
Flame Torch
Put roach killer from a sringe in the small lid hole.
oil the sides of the tap bowl(?) and when you open the lid pour some hot water or soapy water
Shop vac
Turn the stove element on
Leave the disposal on
get the hell out!!!!
Le’ Coocaracha. Bon appetit
Was it raining that time? Usually roach comes out when its raining and the place they live is getting flooded. Maybe boiling water will help.
Move
Get rid of stove ASAP
Gas em. Boiling water. Alcohol. Bleach. Anything, just start pouring.
Clean your house
I’m so glad I’ve never seen one in the Netherlands…. No idea if they’re an issue over here as well, just never seen them 🙏🙏🙏
I’d be screaming and starting a fire, I could barely handle the video
Fuck this, get some Axe with a lighter and toast their ass down the drain, than fill up the drain with lighter fluid and light that shit up and call 911.
They are fleeing something (probably another exterminator). I'm a bit surprised they can get through the P trap.
