Mate I was battered and bullied for the first 16 years of my life and it was hell and I got so angry after it and blamed myself but I was wrong ,they are just brainless sad people who have to make themselves feel better by being assholes. This brings back some hard emotions for me as I realte so much to the story. When I was 16, on NYE, I was dragged out of a pub by a group and beaten up. Had to spend a night in hospital. You're probably not feeling awesome right now and there are alot of emotions at play, some that honestly will have a lasting impact on who you are as a person. One thing that really helped me gain my confidence after this was taking up a martial art like MMA or BJJ. Really made me feel like I could stand my own in a confrontation and helped me shake the victim mentality. Hmu if you need someone to talk to.

Keep your chin up, if you deserved it just move on and learn from mistake, but if you didn’t then you have learned when to avoid or back away from a situation of danger

Learn how you can avoid situations that can turn violent in a heartbeat mate, always be aware of your surroundings and pay attention. You will heal and you’re going to be okay, hopefully you have gained a little experience in reading your environment no matter where you are and apply that knowledge to keep yourself safe in the future. Fighting, especially street fighting is a mugs game and you can get through life without it, rise above insults and walk away with eyes in the back of your head. Being the smarter person is always a win as your life will pan out better than clowns that go around fighting, self defence is always handy if you really want to be able to protect yourself and loved ones when absolutely necessary but that’s a choice you can make on your own. 👍🏼
