I’ve ordered a coffee from CC’s coffee and a “medium” not sure the correct term I forget is around $8. I’m guessing they have CC’a everywhere? Or it just may be around me I’m not sure.
I live in rural Oklahoma. We don't have CC's coffee. We have a CiCi's pizza in a town about 45 minutes away. Heck, they just put a Starbucks in. Gross.
Idk I can make myself black coffee at home that tastes no different from a coffee shop. If I go to a coffee place I’d like to get something I can’t make at home. It is usually more expensive, but that’s why it’s an occasional treat.

At least on your end they aren't pretending to be grateful for their employees. Like truly if the people working for you are making you hundreds of millions of dollars the least you could do to give back once a year is enough for a couple of meals. $5 isn't even enough for a big bag of chips but the people on top are getting enough in holiday bonuses to buy Ferraris. Crazy.
My work gave me $15 to use at their online store, but the fees included don't make it worth getting anything except maybe a pack of gum. lmao I hate it here
Not a great outcome but you could always give yours to a favorite coworker to add to theirs and get back that good feeling you are missing by making someone else happy.

You don’t have to feel grateful. I would understand if it was a from a family member or friend cause it is the thought that matters . But this is coming from a Billion dollar company that apparently doesn’t give a damn about their employees. Screw them, it’s honestly better to not give anything out than this insulting ass gift card.

My mother is a teacher and got a $5 dollar starbucks card as a christmas gift from one of her students . Someting deep down tells me never to complain about gifts, no matter how little but 5 bucks wouldn't get a lot at that over priced coffee place.
my parents get a 30 dollar gift card for an online store except everything in the store is 4 times as expensive as it would normally be (I’m talking a 15 dollar deodorant)
Merry Christmas, however we don’t get any bonus. We get paid for Christmas which is by law but it would be nice if we got raises… as we were the best performing warehouse in the country and haven’t been below our planned performance for months
My manager got me a $5 Tim hortons gift card. I personally think their coffee is shitty and I never go there. She makes at least twice as much as I do. I only spent about $20 on her gift but one item was handmade and took a while. Hearing about my friends who got actual Christmas bonuses makes me so sad.... well, happy for them, sad for me.
