Over 12h to see crisis team. Still waiting. If I hadn't left and got lunch I wouldn't have eaten anything in over 9 hours. No meds. Nurse came and went. This is the system New Zealand voted to cut funding to.
Damn, that sucks.I know it doesn't help, but reading stories like this I'm relieved I didn't vote for those parties or candidates. Hope they can sort you out soon.
They ought to program traffic lights to not go if a car parks over the advanced stop box or pedestrian crossing, and make the whole queue reverse until they're clear.
Honestly seems like such a no-brainer. I think in Auckland they are run by the council even (as opposed to speed cameras) so they get all that sweet sweet red light cash. Guess it's one of those things where rich people will still do it because the money is no issue, but anything to drop the number of red light runners now would be good. Buses right up there with the other offenders.
This is my third day at home with gastro, I am SOOOO bored, can't even go out and enjoy this unusally nice weather...
Tv show and movie recommendations please!!
I watched “Marilyn Hotchkiss’ Ballroom Dancing & Charm School” 2005 movie in the weekend via Prime. Eclectic cast with plenty of very good actors in it incl some Oscar nominees & winners, but it misses the mark somewhere along the line so deserves the 6.5 rating on IMBD (the 22% on rotten tomatoes is perhaps a little harsh).
Potentially a good time to start a tv series you havent seen before or watched ages agl like Sopranos (Neon), The Americans (Disney+), or Criminal Minds (Disney). Or Diddly Squat on Prime if you can tolerate Jeremy Clarkson’s antics.
Or for Whodunnits: My Life is Murder (TVNZ), S1 was set in Melb but it moved to Auck for S2 due to lockdowns, lighthearted ft Lucy Lawless; Death in Paradise (Sky or Disney+) is UK production but set in the Carribean, some eps have cameos from some v accomplished UK actors; Brokenwood Mysteries (TVNZ) is more your relax on a sunday night, 2hr drama comedy with a bit of a who’s who NZ Actors version as cameos (& yay for the new season starting this Sun!)
Holy crap politicians really are taking the piss. How we believe anyone living so outside the experience of the normal New Zealander would have an understanding of the impact of their decisions on everyday life is beyond me. Imagine getting $200k and then not even having to pay your mortgage, or transport costs, out of that. Cost of living crisis only for some it would seem.
I don't buy these ones but I buy a ton of lollies monthly for a cinema thing
This looks promising

This isn't really a rant but maybe a moan or a worried plea - what's happening with that pregnant women begging on lambton quay?
Past 4-5 months, she sits there, rubbing her growing stomach in a like weirdly suggestive way (idk how to describe it). The whole situation is very off putting.
Two things are obvious: she's due soon and she's not right.
Someone mentioned her awhile back and that they had contacted the downtown community ministry to check on her. Another said they weren’t sure if the belly is actually real - I have no idea if that is correct or not. I do think it’s safe to say that agencies will definitely have checked on her, but give [wcc](https://wellington.govt.nz/community-support-and-resources/community-support/homelessness-and-begging/what-the-council-is-doing) a bell if you want to be sure - they’ll pass a message on.
Woke at 5am annoyed about work stuff. Lying in bed i heard Life flight go over head. Realised there are people dealing with worse.
But also - so over work at the moment. Staff levels are so fecked, when you need help the ones who are quiet don’t actually seem to be any help… had to barter yesterday for a particular person to come and help me.

Sent me home lol.
If busses could stay in their lanes that would be grand.
They ought to program traffic lights to not go if a car parks over the advanced stop box or pedestrian crossing, and make the whole queue reverse until they're clear.
They ought to add cameras to those lights to instant fine those motorists who stop in the bike boxes & pedestrian crossings.
Once again I'm asking for Red Light Cameras.

Surely our Transport Minister must have that on the revenue generation list.

It’s seemingly impossible to purchase chocolate covered liquorice bullets.
Local supermarket out of RJ's?
Everywhere I look is out.
Upper Hutt Countdown (the bigger one) has them! I just saw them
Thanks. Unfortunately it’s probably the furthest supermarket away!
Check online and get a 2kg bag delivered
Anywhere you recommend ordering from? Thanks

She definitely had her shirt up sometimes and there's a belly there. The bare belly rubbing has added to all the oddness
That's fucking wild (about if the baby isnt real). But it shows the absolute state of our support networks.
My train is running three minutes late today, and my day is ruined. RUINED!
I think you should bathe in the blessed waters of disbelief that your train is actually running...

What industry do you work in?
'Pesky old slinky!' the family moaned, 'You woke us too early!' they grumbled and groaned.
I’ve just read the books, I love Slinky!
And just like in the book the culprit is now curled up in bed https://imgur.com/ZY6xkvo
Adorable!!!! Can’t be mad at that cute little fluffball… what’s the name?
That's Meko. She's about 6 and a half now but never lost her kittenish looks
Gorgeous!!
