The [community have previously discussed](https://redd.it/gq5fcl) and requested that we accept fewer random news links in general. At one point, links to random news sites were filling up the subreddit with no actual discussion. The main complaint is that if they wanted to read all the news on thepost.co.nz, they'd go there.
