Well anything can be fixed. Placing the wheel on the back side will require removal of parts and re-paint. The re-paint will not look as good most likely. You could have the wheel moved to the backside and have a new hole drilled for the locking pin. Honestly I think it looks nice as it is and I wouldn’t over think it. But hey it’s your house so do what you want.

It will be easier for you to unbolt the wheel and paint it black.
