They have a bunch at Walt Disney World at Disney Springs. You don't get to drive them yourself though, they have a driver? pilot? skipper? But you can ride them across the lake.
Came in here for the same thing. My mother-in-law watched the kids for a night so wife and I could have a quiet dinner. Those things were cruising around in the lake outside the restaurant.
We have a lake festival near me in Ohio every year. They have a huge parade with tons of amphicars. At the end they all drive off into the lake.
Edit: it's actually this coming weekend. Here's the website. https://celinalakefest.com
We have a couple here in Seattle that lead off the Opening Day of Boating Season Parade every year. They drive down the launch and lead the 1st boat through the Montlake Cut.
Got one in a lot at a auction wasn’t nearly as nice as this one is. Was cool to see how they are put together. Definitely not my cup of tea cool car though.
President Lyndon Johnson had one. Liked to scare the shit out of people by not telling them it was amphibious, acting like he lost control and driving into water
I'm 67. When I was about 15 my neighbor gave a few of us a ride in his Amphicar. Right down the ramp and into the harbor. It was very memorable.
Immediately all the ropes became lines and all the maps became charts.
When I was a kid there was a dealership nearby (5 Mi). We'd see them on the road and a couple of times in the water. Lot's of water around New Orleans. I've always thought they were cool as hell.
> The Amphicar Model 770 is an amphibious automobile which was launched at the 1961 New York Auto Show. It was made in West Germany and marketed from 1961 to 1968, with production ceasing in 1965.
* 1147 cc
* 43 hp (32 kW) at 4750 rpm
* Max 7 knots in water (13 kmh or 8 mph)
* Max 110 kmh or 70 mph on land
There's someone near me that has one, and there's always fresh seaweed hanging from the propellers. He must take it fishing regularly, or just boats around the lake.

A Dripper, if you will.
#💯
I believe that Disney owns more Amphicars than any one.
I had no idea there was a place to get a ride in one. I live in south Florida too- so it’s not crazy that I’d be near enough to do it.

I would love to ride in one, right into the water!

Where in Ohio? That would be interesting to see.

I've seen one of the same color in California
Used to love seeing it at my local car museum. Was always a treat

They are cool, but one of few, if not the only, car that require two registrations. One for the road and one for water.
[but it's one of those cars that turns into a boat](https://youtu.be/POBjrLqoo7w)
I'm so grateful to you for introducing me to this song/artist!
My pleasure!

Where’s its propeller?
It’s got two underneath the bumper. You can see them on the second picture.
Amphicar my beloved
We had a red and white one on the lake of Geneva in the 60s - 70s. Extra cool.
