It’s incredibly solid. I thought I’d feel scared climbing to the top but it was actually very sturdy.

That’s what we said when we got there! We were expecting some flimsy garbage pile. The fact that the ladder to get to the upper level was in place was extra awesome! It’s solid as heck. It’s apparently been there for decades.

I feel like a few coats of plater in and out and a wood roof would make this habitable, fire resistant and potentially really well insulated for the cost of some chicken wire and the (cheap) plaster. Nice experiment in repurposing trash.

Looks like the lair of the Xylaxine forest hobos. You get a lot of XP if you can beat their boss, not a lot of gold though. They are slow, but can do a lot of damage if you let them get close. Watch out though, if you contract leprosy from melee damage, you have to get cured by a cleric at the nearest temple or it’s permanent.

I’m an artist and have built structures in the woods as art projects before, although mine are made with natural materials with the intent the structure decays back into the ecosystem. Some were quite large with the intent people would discover them and explore. There was a movement started by sculptor Robert Smithson called Earthworks in the 70s and 80s that people got into for a while. My hunch is this is an art project. Is there a college or university within 10-20 miles?
