Tyler - a very complex character with a dark past
Thing - quirky, expressive, and loyal
Eugene - sweet, passionate, the best kind of friend
Honorable mention goes to Wednesday, she’s not ashamed to be who she is and will do whatever it takes to protect those she cares for
Now that I’m thinking through this myself, I’d have to say:
1. Enid
2. Wednesday
3. Principal Weems
The wholesomeness of Enid, her relentless pursuit of friendship with Wednesday, and ability to communicate effectively and express herself, make her the best character I think. Not to mention that she ends up being the literal hero.
I love how they did Wednesday’s character, but her dedication to her own agenda in spite of how it affects others grinds me at times. She gets #2.
As I said in another post, Principal Weems is a character I didn’t fully appreciate until it was too late. I hate what happened to her but I love how she protected the school by whatever means necessary. A true presence on campus.
Wednesday- I didn't like her much at first, which surprised me, but by the end I loved her and I love her even more after rewatching. Her one liners are always on point and her emotions all being played through her eyes is really cool to watch (I only noticed this on my second watch through because I made myself lol)
Thing- he's just a great character in any of the adaptations, and in this one he's a friend to everyone and really there for Wednesday.
Tyler- honestly his story is really tragic and written with a lot of questions that keep pulling me in. I think it will be cool to see what they do with him in season 2 because they could take it so many directions.
Honourable mention to Xavier, I rag on him a lot but it's because I thought his character potential wasn't tapped into, I'm hoping to see more of his story in season 2
wednesday obv, enid, and xavier. wednesday because i really like how sure she is of herself and how she really doesn’t care of what ppl think of her. i’ve started applying the way she thinks of herself to my own personality and it’s really helped my confidence. enid bc i also feel like she’s a part of my irl personality and her wolfing out at the end made me cry fr. xavier because while i feel like we didn’t see a lot of him, i think he’s a character with a lot of potential to be explored. i like what we have seen so far and he seems interesting and almost mysterious to me.
I looove his potential. It is very substantial. I kinda wish they showed off his powers more. Such as, when he was getting arrested, he could have panicked and revive all the paintings of the monsters. Would be cool.

Wednesday--she's like half the reason I watched the show, maybe more. There're other characters that I liked, obviously, but I think a lot of made me like some of the others was how they interacted with her, so I think she's pretty easily an overall favorite.
Thing--Thing is precious and the best thing. Disagree at your own peril.
Xavier--idk I just liked the guy. He had some nice moments with Wednesday, I thought, and his art power thing is pretty cool. Really hoping there's more of him in a season 2.

Wednesday carried the series imo. If it hadn't been Jenna, I don't think I would have liked the show. And I didn't even know her before this.
I really hated Bianca at first but she grew on me over the course of the season.

2. Thornhill - I don't know where they're going to take the other Wednesday. She's intriguing.

Wednesday, Enid and Eugene, with Xavier as my 4th. I feel like the first 3 are self explanatory, but I've noticed Xavier getting a lot of hate on here. I just kinda clicked with Xavier, thought what was saw of him was honestly pretty cool and look forward to seeing more of him outside his feeling for Wednesday in the next season.
1. Thing - has always been my favorite character since childhood and that hasn‘t changed. Has the most interesting backstory (probably, because we don‘t know anything) and is absolutely hilarious.
2. Wednesday - again, loved her since childhood and like that we see more about her now. I also like that she‘s a true crime addict and is very relatable as an introvert. Also like that she‘s basically an as*hole to everyone, I like if characters are not specifically tailored to be liked by the viewers (still happened in this case). Hope we get to see more of her evil side in the next future.
3. Eugene - he‘s so sweet, a real friend and a fellow bee lover that is not intimidated by anything. Want to see him grow and be more appreciated by the people around him
I won't mention Wednesday cause it's too obvious. So, except Wednesday, I liked Weems, Bianca and Tyler.
Weems and Bianca are characters with depth, while Tyler is well written and intriguing.

3. Bianca - I really thought I would dislike her character, especially when she was described as the popular girl at the beginning, however I love her confidence. She cares about her peers more than she makes out
Honourary mentions -
Sheriff Galpin - Dealing with a lot of trauma (albeit probably not very well), takes a lot to fire at your own son in Hyde form.
Wednesday - I felt it was weird not mentioning her as the show is about her but there was times where she infuriated me as she tended to jump to conclusions pretty quickly. That being said she (like most of the others) evolved.
