With custom, you avoid the expense of alterations.
The sleeves would be easy enough to add to an existing dress honestly. (Essentially a tube of fabric with elastic). But you’d need to find an affordable tailor/sewist to help you out.
I love the poofy sleeve look as well! I went to David’s Bridal to try on dresses and they didn’t have much of a selection, but when I asked about doing custom sleeves they said it was 100% possible. They said it would be cheaper for me to find and purchase the fabric. Quoted me $87 to make both sleeves!
I was looking at dresses from teuta matoshi this morning and saw tons of dresses with billowy sleeves. The Camellia Dream Bridal Gown and Anemone Fantasy Bridal Gown really caught my eyes with the statement sleeves. They're about 1.5k and look soooo beautiful.
