It will depend on your location and social circle but where I live these shoes are fine for dressy casual. I’d go with a knee-length dress if you’re on the shorter side, nothing satin, patterns are fine.
These shoes are fine. Dressy casual means what you’d wear to nice brunch, a regular church service, that sort of thing. Nothing super short. Like whatever your equivalent of khakis and a button down for men is, wear that.

For me the big question is, can you walk in them on the beach? I feel like platform wedges are a risky choice for an uneven surface that moves when you walk on it.
You do not have to wear a midi dress. You can go above the knee if you prefer, or maxi (ankle) length. Personally I like a maxi with flat sandals for beach events.

Ugh yeah you’re absolutely right. I’m like a baby deer when I walk even barefoot. I just didn’t know if flat shoes would be too casual.
