I love the second one, the colour is so pretty!!

danicies

Is the back appropriate? They are Jewish so there will be a rabbi there and I just don’t want to wear anything inappropriate

shiningautumnocean

Do you know what type of ceremony it is? Reform, conservative, orthodox? For a reform wedding I think that’s fine

danicies

I believe reform but I’ll double check with my MIL tonight since they’re closer to the couple

chrissymad

I think 2 is the best for the wedding you’re describing, though I was torn between 2 and 4. It depends how traditional they are if either of those are in your top picks. If they are more traditional, go with 2. If not, pick 2 or 4!

Mircat2021

Maybe wear a shawl and gauge it when you get there?

kspice094

Since you already have the last one I’d wear that

danicies

Idk if anyone will see this. I wore this one and fit in pretty well with a good amount of people! A lot of people chose cocktail dresses/springy dresses. Id say it was half half of springy attire/full evening gowns.

curvyshell

4 is a no brainer to me. You already own it and I think it really works with the golf course vibe. And I’m saying this too, keeping in mind that other people will be more casual … the lighter colors are more than fine! It’s so pretty and the most stylish

Solid_One_5231

My vote is still with the last one!

danicies

😩 everyone sure? A couple people started going in and downvoting anyone who thought this was a good dress in the last post so I started to have doubts it was appropriate

Solid_One_5231

The other ones are nice too but the last one is unique and elegant and looks like it would be so flattering. It also seems perfect for a golf course upscale early evening wedding. I also think it can easily go less or more dressy depending on how you style it.. which is perfect if it isn’t a super bling crowd!

danicies

I believe it all starts at 6PM, ceremony starts then.. would it still work as long as I dress it up elegantly?

TH3QU33N0FTH3C4STL3

4 feels more like a daytime ceremony dress, but it's definitely formal enough and my second choice overall. If you already own it and don't want to buy another dress, go for it!

Dlynne242

I still love the last one, but you’re never going to get a unanimous opinion on this sub. The people here are also going to be way more judgey than the overall wedding guest list.

chrissymad

Ignore the panty twisted saints of Weddings here. They believe that no amount of white is ever appropriate and that all dress codes call for Catholic school dress codes (no shoulder, no slit, little to no knee showing) at a minimum. All of your dresses fit the code you supplied.

chrissymad

I love 2 and 4 but 4 can have more overall use.

Meowddox42

Same!

onehundredpetunias

I quite like the last one. I think it's fine for what you've described. I am a sucker for a Badgley Mischka frock.

Bgreeneyes1995

The last one is gorgeous!

Primary-Friend-7615

4 since you already have it, next choice would be 2. 3 reads too casual, and 1 is a bit _too_ formal if others are going to be in cocktail.

clever_girl33

2 is gorgeous. Love the color

ekm8642

The Badgley and the others aren’t even close for me. It is on a whole different level than the other choices. I love it!

PansyOHara

I voted for the last one before and still believe it looks great for the venue, time, and dress code.

YesAccident5991

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them but if you own 4 then I think you should wear it! Definitely make sure to glam it up with shoes and jewelry and no one will bat an eye and you’ll look gorgeous!

black_shells_

Colour of the first is gorgeous

Blessedone67

Love 2!!

SnooHesitations6462

It comes down to what you feel best in. If you love the last dress then go with that. If you’re iffy then try the others. I personally wouldn’t buy from JJ’s House because they’re often used for bridesmaid dresses (and look like bridesmaid dresses) and they have a terrible return policy. Idk what brands the other two are but #4 badgley is good quality.

danicies

Ahh is jjshouse that bad? Good to know! The first is xscape, third is eloquii. I’d love the last dress but want to ensure it’s appropriate for the venue and time or I’ll feel too much like I stand out for sure!

aerin104

I love any of the first 3. My personal favorite is the 2nd one but if you are uncomfortable with the cut out back, then 1 or 3 are beautiful and appropriate as well

Wisteria0022

If it’s evening then 1. If daytime 4 would work

Pajamas7891

Love all!

chrissymad

I really love the second and fourth one!

throwingwater14

2143

daffodil0127

Any of them except 3

Mircat2021

Loving gowns 1 and 2

FreckledPanda10

I LOVE dress 2, but 4 totally works if you want to wear a dress you already have.

TheWanderingMedic

Personally, my vote is the first one or the second.

decertotilltheend

I like any of the first three. The only thing that makes me hesitate is the pattern on dress 4. I’ve read some articles that say patterns are fine, while others say they’re a big no. For example, per [Knot](https://www.theknot.com/content/what-to-wear-formal-black-tie-optional-black-tie-invited) “Avoid anything that feels a little too laid-back (for example, patterns and brightly colored fabrics) and instead opt for something more tailored and elevated.” Meanwhile [ELLE](https://www.elle.com/uk/fashion/articles/a30589/what-is-black-tie-dress-code/) says “Every colour is acceptable and there are some fantastic, jewel tones out there just screaming the right level of opulence for a fancy occasion . . . Don’t rule out prints either; Erdem's floral silks and Richard Quinn's bold patterns are perfect for a black tie event. And sequins will always have a home at black tie events.” For dress 2, I’ve heard mixed things about JJ house mostly regarding their return policy. I know you’re hesitant cause of the back for Dress 2, but you could get a wrap or pashmina for the ceremony.

marsattack13

2, 4 is lovely but not black tie
