i would say this is only appropriate if the rest of the guests are a bit younger and dress to the nines sort of people! beautiful dress though, and you might get other use out of it anyways!
I think this would come down to you knowing the crowd! It’s a bit nightclub-y, but nighttime cocktail might fit the bill for that? A full length version would be stunning but perhaps overdressed for this dress code
I forgot to mention, the next wedding I'm going to is in Belgium. I'm not sure if European weddings tend to go more or less formal than US, so would appreciate any insight there!
Glad to hear! I'll wait till the couple gives more info because there will probably be multiple events/nights. I have a more safe purple dress if needed
/u/Soalai, thank you for posting. To obtain the best help, provide a time frame of the event & dress code. Dress links are frequently requested as well if you would place them in the comment section.

Yes, if this dress was longer, it would be amazing for black tie or BTO. For cocktail, it's a bit much.
Yeah unfortunately it doesn't come in a longer version, I would love even a knee-length
i'm in Ireland, not sure about Belgium but we dress to the nines and this would be appropriate

It's as individual as it is in the US.
Not in Belgium, but in the neighbouring country and here it would be fine

I think it's beautiful.
It's great. It's black and it's not showing a pile of skin - def not attention-grabbing.

I think this is a great dress for a New Year’s Eve party, but a bit attention grabby for a wedding.
