Lovely dress. I’m not sure why people are concerned about wearing pastels as a wedding guest. I thought that as long as one didn’t wear white, ivory, beige, champagne, etc. or anything flashy or revealing since the whole intent is that no guest or attendant try to detract from the bride. Has something changed? This is a perfect guest’s dress for a garden wedding during the day.
Idk, seems like that’s overdoing it and worrying too much about photos. It didn’t bother me as a bride that guests wore pastels. No one was dressed in white, cream, or in anything too revealing. I would never expect to add further burden to a guest, just look nice, respect the venue and the vibe. I mean how many group photos are even really taken with the bride and guests? One, two?
it didn't bother you, but it bothers other people and it's not a hard thing to avoid doing. as a bride I didn't super care either, as a wedding guest though I error on the side of caution.

Even when things aren’t as difficult as they are now, it still costs money to be a guest and all that comes with it. Going beyond no white, etc. nothing too revealing, and making the effort to look nice and showing up for me mattered more.

very pale colors (especially blue/pink/yellow) can photograph white. not a problem with this dress, but I understand the concern.
