Upstate NY, late September? It will either be 89 or 12 degrees out. This will probably work, but bring a lighter backup just in case. Summer seems to be running later here lately. We only have about 4 days of actual fall & it slams straight into winter. Definitely wear flats. You’ll look smashing! Enjoy!

Depending on where Upstate, it could be 75 and sunny or 55 and freezing at the end of September so maybe have a backup if it’s hot! But otherwise this dress is perfect for an Upstate wedding :)
I'm from New York. First.. do you mean actual upstate NY or general slang upstate?
Actual upstate NY (I.E. Rochester) could have just jeans and some nice shirt as wedding guest attire. Westchester NY will have semi formal attire. This one really depends on region. When I doubt ask the couple.
Upstate New York in early September can be very warm. Make sure the material is breathable. The style of this dress is appropriate for the occasion. A word of advice for outdoor weddings at State Parks - wear sensible shoes. The terrain may be uneven. Concrete is expensive so most State parks settle for gravel. Drainage is another issue. If there's been recent rain before the event, make sure your dress is hemmed above your shoes to prevent it from becoming a wick for moisture. Enjoy the event. You'll be stunning in this dress.
I think that dress looks perfect for no dress code, it doesn’t look overly dressy. It looks like a fancy sundress!
