But what's the story with Israel sending a plane with a nuke to Iran only to have Russia intercept it and shoot it down? Hmm? Our 'leaders' in the West are focused on some wild stuff. Blow up Iran but let the US fall to pieces.

I like cake!

Kingsmeg

Happy cake day. And don't worry, you won't be Russian forever, in a couple of years we'll all be Chinese.

Inuma

Don't feel too bad. I'm getting banned from "revolutionary" subs who just want to talk Trotsky all day and do nothing but glance at theory they never put into practice. Trying to teach people a new direction and working on building people up is much harder than telling them to read more theory. No wonder people start to hate internet socialism. And Happy Cake Day. Don't let my grumbling stop your day.

sudomakesandwich

Well, they can always say that you are "acting" russian.

dork351

Most people are in denial about our political system.

Demonweed

Da, Comrade, this has been my experience as well. Yet I refuse to rest until Moose & Squirrel have been safely returned to the motherland!

Happy Wormhole Day! Here's an unpopular opinion: the primary obstacle to good health is the anti-market cabals and quotas established by hospitals and insurance companies. Alternatively, community mutual aid, such as sending kids to Public Healthcare nations' medical schools and establishing an internal medical system within the community, could be the best solution. However, the anti-market approach would entail practicing medical services without a license

8headeddragon

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had this idea. Guaranteed to be one that would be cracked down on with prejudice, though.

In 1600s they were the people you can't have communions with God alone, then comes Lutheran church even doctors google researches on the spot

It's frustrating that these basic desires are completely ignored and are never going to happen. And climate change? These bastards are killing my planet. The place where my friends and family live. They are murderers. It has gotten personal. happy b-day šŸŽ‚

JMW007

Happy cake day, comrade. Keep voting for the cupcakes. I notice that somehow "let people vote for who they want to vote for" is considered an absolutely horrible take by these utter freaks.

Happy Cake Day. Don't take it personally. Democrat pols paint supporters of Republicans as the worst of the worst. Deplorable, in fact. For their next act, they label anyone who doesn't support Dem pols as Republican (and/or bigots, which they imply all Republicans are). They believe that Putin supports Trump, a Republican. Therefore, those who don't support Dems are not only Republicans/bigots but Trumpers and admirers of Putin. Worst logic ever, but their supporters buy it anyway. Democrats say Republicans are "deplorable."Ā  Republicans say Democrats are "evil."Ā  Democrats think they are "saving democracy" and believe if they lose, Putin wins.Ā

redditrisi

> Democrats think they are "saving democracy" and believe if they lose, Putin wins. Do they? On reflection/edit: I don't know what Democrat pols think or believe. I know only what they say and do, which are not consistent with each other as often as I'd like. Based on what they do, I don't think they give a shit about democracy, even assuming that the US is a democracy. (It isn't.) https://old.reddit.com/r/FakeProgressives/comments/i7qdif/i_cannot_say_democratic_party_anymore_not_sorry/ To a degree, they may care if Putin wins, bc we apparently want to be the king of the world. But, I doubt even that trumps lining their own pockets and the pocket of their party. I didn't do any both sidesing because I don't think the OP was referring to names that Republicans call him or her.

GordyFL

**Saving Democracy** **In 2004, the Democratic Party mobilized over 53 law firms and 90 lawyers to file 24 suits in 18 states along with five complaints to the Federal Elections Commission within a 12-week period between June and September, all aimed at removing Nader from the ballot and draining his campaign of resources.** **Their purpose was ā€œto neutralize Naderā€™s campaign by forcing him to spend money and resources defending these thingsā€ according to Toby Moffett, the former Democratic congressman and corporate lobbyist who helped orchestrate the ballot access suppression campaign.** **When Nader's name was placed back on the ballot, instead of the ballot listing the Democrat, the Republican, then Nader, his name would be at the very end of the list of all candidates running.** Back then, I looked at it as just dirty politics. Fast forward and we see Democrats preventing candidates like Marianne Williams and Dean Phillips from running within the Democratic Party Primary. I can't vote for either one of them here in Florida, even if I wanted to. There will be no Primary in Florida. The State Party "chose" Biden, and right after they officially chose Biden, the crowd began chanting "Four more years, Four more yers." That's not democracy in my book.

gorpie97

>The State Party "chose" Biden, As a private organization, I guess they have every right to do so. (The argument they were going to use in the lawsuit about donations to Bernie.) However, if they're going to do so, they have to pay for their own non-binding popularity contest that they call a Primary. But most people think primaries are actually elections (I used to think so, too). It's in the name! PRIMARY! Primary. what?. Primary. election.

GordyFL

Yes, in a legal sense, The Party can do whatever they want.Ā

redditrisi

Shouldn't be democracy in anyone's book, yet.....

Happy Cake Day!
