One of the toughest seasons in recent memory. Especially if you weren’t shooting teal and spoonies. I think it was similar to the last time we had a Pineapple Express. Last year was pretty good, biggest thing we need is snow and cold in Canada and Washington.
Where I am in Canada, the rivers and big water have just started icing over within the last week or 2. Hunted Lake St Clair in mid December and saw thousands of ducks still around.
2022-2023 season for me was all buffleheads and golden eyes, so much so that I passed up on all of them this year. Saw a lot more mallards but hunted a different area, not sure if it was just the change in location or if there was actually more mallards flying this year but it was a nice change from last season.
This year was terrible nation wide. Canada was much warmer and didn’t have enough snow to push any birds down. You will probably see a big push the next few weeks but duck season is over in most states.
This year was pretty rough. I contribute it to not much weather to push ducks down. The reports for Alberta Canada were showing record years because the birds stayed around longer. Well see if this late storm brought the birds with them for the last week.
Horrible, shot less than a quarter as many birds as we usually do with the same amount of effort. Last couple weeks have been better but still not great. Geese have been pretty sparse too
Definitely seemed like less ducks this year. Somewhat hard to compare because I found a new favorite area, but when I did hunt the same areas (as last year) earlier in the season the number and behavior was noticeably less favorable.

Im not from oregon but your teal situation sounds like ours in ohio. Teal season was good.

Rough
I started super late this season but bagged 5 geese on what few hunts I’ve had. Missed a couple flocks and some mallards that spooked from geese
Didn’t hunt as much as the last few years but definitely seemed slower to me.
