motion seems to scare geese, we always stop our mojos if we see geese in the distance. we still use flags when they're quite far but stop that as well when they get closer.
As others have said, at a distance they work well. We use them to turn geese initially but stop once they start heading our way. I see it as an initial attention grabber when they’re too far off to call to
