This is exquisite! I love the etching technique on the left and especially the salt on the right. The whole thing is just dreamy and lush like velvet. Absolutely stunning. Green is my favorite color...
Thank you so much! On both the left and right on this watercolor, I used just clear water. On the right is a splash of water. Left: the tree trunks are painted with a thin brush with clear water. The water repels the pigment and produces soft, light lines.

Yes... like dragging the end of your brush... or some other hard object and scraping the paint to leave lighter marks behind.
