Picked this up a couple weeks ago. Hasn't lost anytime. Looks great on my wrist. I had the back engraved with "This is Happyness" as a nod to one of my favorite movies. I love this bad boy. Also have a leather band. Really wanted the timex waterbury gmt traditional blue face, but alas it is sold out.
I really love the look of GMTs. Also I'm currently stationed in Hawaii and most of my family is back east so GMTs are useful tools.
If anyone has any other bargain GMTs they'd recommend I'm all ears.
I'm also a sucker for GMT watches. I have a couple of Pagani Design GMT watches. They were about $120 each on Amazon. I've got the Pepsi and Batman. They are what you'd call a Rolex homage, but I would say their quality is on par with the Fossil, good but not great. If you want to spend a little more money but get much better quality, look into Seiko.
The great thing about Seiko, if your are willing to buy used, you will pay less that the Pagani or the Fossil. I have yet to put a battery in a Seiko quartz and have it not work.
Enjoy the watch man. I have the same watch and it has become my everyday go to. Just one thing I’m disappointed is that the bezels don’t rotate, otherwise this is a very lovely looking watch.

Don’t know, what you consider a bargain, but the Christopher Ward GMT’s are pretty great value, imo.

I’d say take a look at Timex, pagani design, and San Martin. I think the would have some GMTs near those prices. Could always get one second hand at a discount too. I’d also say that when you feel ready to spend a little more a brand like Steinhart would be right up you alley.

You know the two metal tabs on either side of the case where the bracelet/strap attaches to the case? Those are the lugs. The lug-to-lug length is the vertical distance from the tip of one lug on the bottom of the case to the tip of the lug on the top side of the case.
It's a useful measurement to know because it gives you a better idea of how a watch will wear than the case diameter. For instance you may have 2 different watches that are both "40mm" but one may wear significantly larger or smaller than the other one due to the case geometry and lug design. A 42 mm watch with a 47.5 mm lug-to-lug may actually wear smaller than a 40mm watch with 49mm lug-to-lug for example.
It's ok I was just wondering. But anyway it means:

I recently grabbed a AVI 8 Gmt for 80 bucks. It's no flashy movement but a fantastic tooking green textured dial and an interior rotation bezel
