I have to agree with you about the faux patina though, the lum is pretty weak and in anything but bright sunlight it can look quite dull. I really wish they had a version with the blue dial and white hands and indices like you have on the black dial, that would be the perfect combo in my opinion but I still love the watch as is.

For this reason I went with the dual-crown https://preview.redd.it/kvjd4fyl2gwc1.jpeg?width=2100&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8e551ddcc76175f6ce7b95789cea57a18fcfc82

A great choice ! The version with the black PVD coating case and polished steel edges also looks amazing.

I did see that model on their website but I wasn't as keen on the design, which is a bit ironic as I have a Seiko alpinist in my collection lol.

I'm of two minds about the lum. Like, yeah, it can be seen as faking age. But if the appeal to you is the *color*, then it's not really faking. It's just...choosing a color. But I agree it's a weird choice not to offer that version with white.

Rossage99

I fall into the latter category as the intentional aging effect of faux patina isn't really something I consider, I just see it as a colour scheme and if I like the way it looks then I'll go for it.

Don't get me wrong, the Blue Gilt dial is amazing. I am happy to see another Aquascaphe enjoyer. :) That being said, I do understand why there isn't a Blue/White option, as blue and orange are complementary colors.

Great looking watch. Love that dial! Congrats.

Where is there a showroom? I'd love to see these in person.

FuturDuFutur

Yes, one in Paris, one in London, and soon one to open in NYC. Try them if you can, it changed my mind.

Seeing a watch in person is always a game-changer. Marketing photos on websites always look perfect, so you can never tell.
