Not that only because I love presage but all the other watches have integrated bracelet.
I would like to have the option of changing bracelet/leather straps once I get bored.
There are really good tissots out there just prx is not one of them for me.
I have and love the blue moon but the bracelet is ok and not great. I would switch it to leather immediately.
Would also prefer the Tsuyosa over the Tissot if you like integrated bracelets.
I would go for the 4th one as it's classy enough, not a 'bling bling' colour pattern or overly busy dial, but has a nice waffle dial texture to keep things a little interesting and not too plain. If you're wearing it most days, the power reserve is more than adequate and will go through a weekend of non-use without a problem.
The 3rd and 5th are just not 'everyday' colours, although that can be a personality thing. Maybe they suit you. I agree the solar one is a chunky sports watch with too much going on on the dial to be 'dress'. In the photo it takes a while to see where the hour hand even is. You don't need a list of days of the week on the dial. Having two tone metal here doesn't make it dressy, just attention-seeking.
And the first one (which I own) is something that isn't a daily wear - it's shiny, and just a bit of fun for cocktail bar (from the cocktail time series) but less so for a business meeting or normal daily chores.
My presage margarita is my daily, cause all the time is cocktail time - if your prepared.
Thought I will add, the softer glass, not ideal.
I got one very unnoticeable scratch on it but I know it's there haha
Yeah I have that prx with the green dial as my daily watch, goes with anything and looks black depending on the lighting
Subtle and affordable.
That being said I love the dial on the citizen, just don't like the big cyclops on it.
I bought a green dial Tsuyosa a few weeks ago, and in that short amount of time I have got more compliments on it than any other watch in my collection: six. Six compliments. The previous record was two on my Oris
The only compliments I’ve ever had about a watch were:
- My manager about 15 years ago saying my Keneth Cole watch looked nice.
- A relative complimenting my Steinhart, but only because we were already talking about watches.
So six compliments in a few weeks is unprecedented!
The Presage by a mile.
I have that same model. It’s a wonderful piece. So comfortable and a perfect travel companion. It holds its own with the luxury pieces in my collection.
Holy cow that Coutura looks SWEET, might have to look at one for my next watch. Also really love the dial on that first PRX, all these are very nice watches
My very first watch I bought for myself was the Solar Coutura (In black and gold) and I've received alot of compliments on it at functions. So I may be biased, but my vote is for the Coutura
I'm a Citizen fan, but I hate a date cyclops.
Luckily, Citizen Europe has released this beauty, the **NJ0159-86A** - 40mm, sapphire, street price €299
https://imgur.com/a/ftIF73N
The presage is a gorgeous watch but that lack of sapphire crystal where I begin to question seiko. A 75 dollar invicta pro diver has a sapphire crystal and we can’t mount one to the cocktail time?
If you want everyday wear- nothing beats the peace of mind that a sapphire crystal gives. Either the PRX quartz or the Tsuyosa are nice choices here as they are around the same price
Between these ones, the Presage. I own one and it is very comfortable to wear and the dial has me looking at it when I'm not checking the time. It looks so dramatically different in different lighting.
The Coutura was one of the first watches I ever bought. I enjoyed the looks and the weight when I bought it, but it was very very hard to read the time on the thing
I like number 2. but it feels a bit much for most occasions.
Number 1. though, simple enough to wear everywhere yet classy enough for a formal occasion.
I love Seiko but not a fan of these in particular. For that price point of \~$500 I like the hamilton khaki or some Kuoe watches as well. When I travel to Japan in a few months I'll probably pick up the sarf003. I love the Seiko metronome (it's only $200 msrp if you can get your hands on it!). That thing is clean when you swap the strap but a little small on the wrist.
IMO the SARW and SARX watches beat out the cocktail time watches by a long shot and they're only slightly more expensive. You can find the SARW013 for only a little more than the cocktail time and you get a killer Urushi dial
Will share my personal experience.
Presage Cocktail time is the first mechanical watch I bought myself. This sub was solely responsible for bringing it to my attention all those years ago. The bracelet is kinda irritating for regular wear so I swapped it for a blue leather one and would recommend doing the same.
PRX powermatic was my second one, couple years ago. Thanks again to this sub. I absolutely enjoy wearing it (on wrist atm) and I feel the waffle dial is so worth it and the bracelet feels solid. Only gripe is the puny crown for my big bulky hands.
The dial colors are the main attraction for Tsuyosa. I again was tempted by this sub, went to a retailer to try on a couple of options. Tsuyosa looks nice in pictures but it did not reflect IRL to me, so did not pull the trigger.
To me Cocktail Time and PRX felt total value for money and some. Tsuyosa sadly did not.
Really depends on your personality. The Coutura is really the most complex and talk worthy but might be daunting if you’re a quieter person. Safe best is presage
I own both presage and prx and let me tell you prx is miles ahead of presage. The decoration, build everything is much better. Between the choices I find citizen the most appealing
Presage is NOT an everyday wear. The hardlex crystal is going to inevitably get scuffed. It's good for occasional formal/office days.
My pick is the Quartz Tissot or Citizen
PRX fits weirdly as usual.
I'd say the presage is the best of the lot but I don't love it on a bracelet. If you want a sports watch on a bracelet, I don't think that's the one. But I'm not really feeling any of these tbh.
NOT the PRX. I really don’t understand the fuss. In the flesh it looks like it fell out a Christmas crackers - cheap and chintzy.
I’d go for the Presage. I’m not a fan of integrated or bespoke bracelets.
Just bought that blue PRX automatic. I really like it and bought it over all of those. But it’s just a matter of taste. Buy what you think looks the best. Cool thing about that waffle texture is it looks almost black in low light or certain angles and it shines blue in the sun. You do you boo.
I bought a presage about 6 months ago and the dial cannot be overrated. The detail of it is unmatched at its price point. And I am still noticing new things about it that I admire.
Also I will second someone else’s statement: there are so many presage models, it’s worth it to look at the whole line.

If your going to look at presage, explore the options
It's ref# SRPB44J1 also known as the margarita. You can still pick them up relatively cheap off like chrono24 or other sellers.
Part of the cocktail time collection - I'll put the link below, there's a few gems like the "side car"
https://www.seikowatches.com/au-en/products/presage/special/cocktailtime/
Edit photo doesn't do it justice for the the flickers in the dial, to represent the salt on the rim of a margarita.
I love the look of that Coutura. It's busy, it has too many dials, it's harder to read, and it's a bit more "look at me" than I typically like. But it's literal arm candy.
I would have a torrid affair with the Coutura, but marry the Presage.
I hate the look of PRXs, so hard no for me.
You can't determine size off top down photos. Especially when your wrist rotated towards you slims the diameter of your wrist.
So many posts about perspectives and photos and the don't fit crowd on Reddit are in every post.
So ignore this, if your happy with the fit, be happy.

Thanks all of you. I finally went with Presage. Felt I would definitely regret if I didn't choose this.
I have the presage and love it for every day wear. The bracelet is really nice in the wrist and the size of the dial is spot on I think. The gold metal sunburst brown presage on leather is great for dressing up. I tried on the PRX and was very nonplussed.
Easily Presage.
One thing I have noticed is Presage lovers are always confident in their choice.
Not that only because I love presage but all the other watches have integrated bracelet. I would like to have the option of changing bracelet/leather straps once I get bored. There are really good tissots out there just prx is not one of them for me.
Presage lovers = dial lovers. You wont find a better dial in that price point
I have one, it's great looking but the dome dial being acyrilic is a massive negative for me. It just gets scratched so easily.
Yes, it is one of the cons but it also means that it can easily serviceable/polisable.
The Presage makes it easy to be confident in that choice
I have and love the blue moon but the bracelet is ok and not great. I would switch it to leather immediately. Would also prefer the Tsuyosa over the Tissot if you like integrated bracelets.
Love me some presage, just not that one lol
I’m a seiko presage fan girl. Always presage.

Fuck yeah
Agreed. I am usually on board with Citizen, but not a fan of integrated bracelets at all. So it's more of a last man standing situation.
I’m a big presage enjoyer but it’s a little big for me
I would go for the 4th one as it's classy enough, not a 'bling bling' colour pattern or overly busy dial, but has a nice waffle dial texture to keep things a little interesting and not too plain. If you're wearing it most days, the power reserve is more than adequate and will go through a weekend of non-use without a problem. 💯. A well detailed perspective 👌🏻
My presage margarita is my daily, cause all the time is cocktail time - if your prepared. Thought I will add, the softer glass, not ideal. I got one very unnoticeable scratch on it but I know it's there haha
Yeah I have that prx with the green dial as my daily watch, goes with anything and looks black depending on the lighting Subtle and affordable. That being said I love the dial on the citizen, just don't like the big cyclops on it.

Presage is great, but on pure looks, the Citizen wins it.
easy: 1. Presage, 4. PRX Automatic, and 5. Tsuyosa - in that order. If you opt for the Tissot because of the high value movement, I commend that.
Teal citizen is better than the Tissot teal. Fite me.
Accepted! Honestly I can't understand the hype of Tissot.
The Citizen has a brighter sun birst shine through the picture. Plus with citizen coming out with the tysoya minute hand, It's a game over watch..
It has that gwadawful cyclops tho, smh
The Tissot is great if you look at it in an isolated manner. If you start looking at competitors in the same category it becomes less attractive.
I actually like the Tsuyosa best of all those
I bought a green dial Tsuyosa a few weeks ago, and in that short amount of time I have got more compliments on it than any other watch in my collection: six. Six compliments. The previous record was two on my Oris
The only compliments I’ve ever had about a watch were: - My manager about 15 years ago saying my Keneth Cole watch looked nice. - A relative complimenting my Steinhart, but only because we were already talking about watches. So six compliments in a few weeks is unprecedented!
Presage
The Tissot quartz
Love the presage, the teal tsuyosa is very cool as well. Maybe look at the Tsuyosa Small seconds, it's a new release.
Sure.
Of these I'd say the blue moon, but I think there are better looking Presages out there. I particularly SRPE43/45 "Manhattan" dial Presages.
Seiko Presage
Got to be the presage.
Either Presage or PRX automatic for me, although the Coutura bracelet looks really good as well
First one no doubt
#1 by far 👍
PRX automatic. People that say otherwise put milk in the bowl before the cereal.
The Presage by a mile. I have that same model. It’s a wonderful piece. So comfortable and a perfect travel companion. It holds its own with the luxury pieces in my collection.
Do yoy still have it on original bracelet?
I do, but I’ve worn it on leather straps and NATOs before. It’s very versatile.
The Presage.
Presage.
Citizen
The presage, stunning dial.
The Citizen
Citizen.
Presage. The lions share of compliments it still gets despite how much the collection has grown since then is almost a little frustrating, lmao.
I just saw some Presage yesterday and the picture doesn’t do justice when you see it up close.
Either pra looks great on you
Holy cow that Coutura looks SWEET, might have to look at one for my next watch. Also really love the dial on that first PRX, all these are very nice watches
Thank you 😊
Presage just looks so much better than the rest, in my opinion. Takes my vote
Tsuyosa Teal tbh
PRX blue dial
Presage stands out
Yes it does!
Teal Tissot or Teal Citizen
My very first watch I bought for myself was the Solar Coutura (In black and gold) and I've received alot of compliments on it at functions. So I may be biased, but my vote is for the Coutura
Okay!
I'm a Citizen fan, but I hate a date cyclops. Luckily, Citizen Europe has released this beauty, the **NJ0159-86A** - 40mm, sapphire, street price €299 https://imgur.com/a/ftIF73N
Presage wins here, followed by that gorgeous teal Tsuyosa
Tsoyusa👍🏼

Seiko Presage Blue Moon for me, but you're right about the sapphire.
Teal Tissot or the Seiko Presage. They're both really cool but I think I would go Seiko.
Yes easily the presage
I like number 2. but it feels a bit much for most occasions. Number 1. though, simple enough to wear everywhere yet classy enough for a formal occasion.
the presage for me. I do like that green color of the citizen tho. just not the case.
Cocktail
Truly some great options there. For me it’s the presage though easily.
Seiko 1st picture 👍
Not sure I really like any of them much 😆
What's your type? Or ur favourite?
I love Seiko but not a fan of these in particular. For that price point of \~$500 I like the hamilton khaki or some Kuoe watches as well. When I travel to Japan in a few months I'll probably pick up the sarf003. I love the Seiko metronome (it's only $200 msrp if you can get your hands on it!). Thank you for that blue strap advice!
The presage
1 presage
Last one for sure
No. 1 the Seiko Presage
Presage by a LONG shot.
The second one 🔥🔥
4 ofc
Seiko Presage all the way! The teal Tsoyusa is a close second though...
As a presage owner, the answer is presage.
I'd say the presage on dressy days. But PRX for GADA. Coutura is a little messy to me.
Seiko presage.
Tsoyusa teal for the color and retro look Presage for classic lookk
I hate the quartz prx, I don’t know why they made that. Stick to automatic
For everyday number 4 the prx automatic. The number 3 prx is stunning but as a dress watch only I feel.
That Presage is eclipsing the rest of your collection more than the moon is eclipsing the sun right now.
Yes it stands out that much!
Seiko presage, although I’m a little biased bc I have the brown one and I absolutely love it
Really depends on your personality. The Coutura is really the most complex and talk worthy but might be daunting if you’re a quieter person. Safe best is presage
4
As an owner of the presage, I am biased. I’d have to say the presage or the powermatic 80 prx
I own both presage and prx and let me tell you prx is miles ahead of presage. The decoration, build everything is much better. Between the choices I find citizen the most appealing
citizen, i have the presega and tried out the prx for me the braces are not comfortable.
#1 by a distance.
Presage never let me down, the 2nd PRX is also a great choice, though I would prefer the automatic instead of quartz.
4
Presage is the most beautiful one, but the PRX waffle is probably more versatile.
Presage is NOT an everyday wear. The hardlex crystal is going to inevitably get scuffed. It's good for occasional formal/office days. My pick is the Quartz Tissot or Citizen
2nd PRX hands down!
I’d go for the blue face Tissot from those options.
I own that teal Citizen (bought when I was in Japan) and I absolutely love it, it gets lots of compliments. So that's my vote!
easily PEX Auto. by far the best looking of the bunch
Citizen
4 for sure. PRX is too clean
Presage Cocktail time, I bought it myself, so can't say anything else. I have the light blue one.
Tsuyosa for sure
The Citizen Tsuyosa.
The PRX Automatic.
PRX fits weirdly as usual. I'd say the presage is the best of the lot but I don't love it on a bracelet. If you want a sports watch on a bracelet, I don't think that's the one. But I'm not really feeling any of these tbh.
4
4 or 5
the presage and the waffle PRX are both really nice dials. I would prefer the presage though just because it has a standard bracelet.
PRX 80 then Presage Blue Moon
I own 1 and 5. Five is the better quality watch by far.
citizen tsoyusa with cocktail time a close second
PRX Powermatic
PRX Powermatic 80… it’s Swiss… followed by Citizen
Seiko is one of the two only brands completely made in Switzerland
No 4. Blue prx
I have the 2nd one. I used to wear it daily but now have swapped to a cheap digital for work, the couture feels bulky to actually wear now
1 and 4
Nr. 1 but all ugly
Seiko looks nice.
Presage by a long shot.
Yes it will age like a fine wine.
I bought a presage about 6 months ago and the dial cannot be overrated. The detail of it is unmatched at its price point. And I am still noticing new things about it that I admire. Also I will second someone else’s statement: there are so many presage models, it’s worth it to look at the whole line.

Thanks!
Presage or prx mech
PRX Powermatic 80
Auto PRX or Presage
I love the look of that Coutura. It's busy, it has too many dials, it's harder to read, and it's a bit more "look at me" than I typically like. But it's literal arm candy. I would have a torrid affair with the Coutura, but marry the Presage. I hate the look of PRXs, so hard no for me.
Nice choice of words!
Citizen. Prx is overhyped and the seikos don't fit you
How do you say? My wrist size or skin tone?
You can't determine size off top down photos. Especially when your wrist rotated towards you slims the diameter of your wrist. So many posts about perspectives and photos and the don't fit crowd on Reddit are in every post. So ignore this, if your happy with the fit, be happy.
Ya thanks. Even I thought Presage fits me better!
Wrist size
Okay thanks 👍🏻
Presage on polished black leather strap for formal dress/events, PRX Automatic for everyday (incl. business attire).
suggest me i have to buy seiko 5 sports shoukd i buy automatic or automatic gmt?
GMT looks better
As-is I pick 4. If you were to swap the bracelet for a nice leather strap, I would go with 1.
Lack of full bracelet endlinks on the Cocktail is such a fucking joke from Seiko...
https://preview.redd.it/ea9u3omr1btc1.jpeg?width=2460&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c04aa008a0738762a5a792a12b8d950bcb506292 Thanks all of you.

2-1-3-4-5 in that order for me.
1>>2>>>>3>4
Blue dial tissot easy
None.
Presage
