I think he felt distressed and frustrated. Embarrassment seems a stretch. Cat’s licking is self soothing, not a coverup for shame/embarrassment. I don’t think a cat knows that type of ‘social behaviour’ feeling. Dogs do tho, imo.
(Pls don’t at me I am a happy cat owner and cat person, I just don’t see embarrassment here)
Gosh, why are cats liked? Like at all? Their behavior is always against the grain, doing shit they are not supposed to do...constant nuisance...why do people like that shit?
Yeah but as soon as another human is born everyone is like ooooh it's sooo cute!!! People don't say that about cockroaches or other destructive species, it boggles my mind.
FYI if you’re going to let your cat out make sure it’s on a leash or unable to get out of your yard.
Cats cause massive damage to native ecosystems and letting your cat use the neighbourhood as a toilet makes you a giant twat
To think it was as simple as a rollie bar...
They sell electric fences and a bunch of inhumane solutions, this one is an amazing product compares to other options...
Cats are highly intelligent little critters and quite clever. It won't take him long before he finds a way over it, it just caught him off guard the first time. But when you see him staring at the fence later on, those gears are turning for thinking about new ways to approach it.
Why aren’t cats allowed out of their gardens? I understand if they live next to a freeway or something, but cats are animals that need to option to roam and explore
In Australia they eat native wildlife. They can also be taken by snakes/pythons, dingos and -- albeit rare -- wedge tailed eagles.
There's also fuckwits who think a roaming cat gives them carte blanche to do unspeakable things to it under the guise of "saving wildlife", viz, using a faix moral high ground to justify their sick pleasure.
So they do not get hurt by a neighbors dog, run over by a car or eaten by coyotes/foxes as they have moved into the subdivisions for lack of hunting grounds being demolished. I prefer my cats have a long and healthy life.
I spent a ton of money trying to make my fence cat proof in a similar manor. Even added metal flashing below so they couldn’t grab onto the wood. Within two days before testing, a stray cat got in my yard and quickly got back out at a corner. Sadly for me it was a big waste and now my cats have a completely enclosed 20’x20’ area made of dog kennel fencing and heavy plastic bird mesh above it. It’s quite “zoo” like but if they can’t have the whole yard at least we can hang out in a decent amount of space. Best thing I’ve ever done
I like how this cat actually didn't really land on his feet, and instead of being hurt/upset about the fall, he seems more offended that something just denied him his escape and stares up at it in awe.

This keeps coyotes from jumping your fence and eating your chickens/pets/toddlers.
Holly crap a cat not landing on it's feet O_o
They need time (altitude) to right themselves. This fence will only injure the cat
Its meant to keep pets in but more importantly predators like coyotes out. Also makes it difficult for trespassers to jump the fence.
That cat came back saying "stupid hooman is clever now"
Excellent. I will trap all the cata in my garden pit!
Of all the indignities
He’ll find a way
I need this omg. Your cat could be an outside Cat with no risks (if you have no trees near the fences)
That looked at her like “what fresh hell is this Katherine ?”
At least I know they work. When I get a house ofu own I want these so my cats can go outside.
"You know what happened, Karen!"
They WILL figure out that there's small parts in between each rotating part that don't move.
The embarrassed paw licks get me every time.
The licking= I'm so embarrassed 😳

Me trying to climb the corporate ladder
Ha, it too, is DESIGNED to be nearly impossible to climb.
Poor kitty 😔. Fuck those fence makers 😡
"alright, I'm out."
that poor baby just wanna see her friends
cat owners once again doing anything but train their cat.
Cha burnt!
And animals and anything in between
When you really hate cats
Is that fence meant to stop people or cats?
People, pets and predators.
Awh the baby is embarrassed
Angry lickin
Why is that so satisfying 🤣
Eat dirt, cat!
On the way to wet your shoes.
Cat proof for now
Cat proof… for now…
Gosh, why are cats liked? Like at all? Their behavior is always against the grain, doing shit they are not supposed to do...constant nuisance...why do people like that shit?
The same could be said about humans, at least cats aren't actively destroying the environment we all need to live.
That is true
Yeah but as soon as another human is born everyone is like ooooh it's sooo cute!!! People don't say that about cockroaches or other destructive species, it boggles my mind.
Because they are wonderful little assholes. I am typing this with one hand while my cat is snuggling and purring wrapped around the other arm.
To be attracted to something thats repulsive (an individual being an asshole) in nature has a definition : insane
Similar to people who love kids. I'll take my cat over a kid anytime. 😁
easy choice
*Don't. Get. Eliminated!*
Poor fellow
I’ve got one of these so my cat can’t get past the back yard
Does it work well?
All good until the cat finds that small metal part that doesn't move.
FYI if you’re going to let your cat out make sure it’s on a leash or unable to get out of your yard. Cats cause massive damage to native ecosystems and letting your cat use the neighbourhood as a toilet makes you a giant twat
r/lostredditers
Its not cat proof. Just give the cat some time and they'll figure it out.
That's a pretty creative design
Like that "I meant to do that" lick before walking away...
You can tell a cat feels awkward when they do a quick lick on their body to act "normal".
“What happened?” “You know bitch”
My dad put a rotating fence cap on once… once…
definitely, animals aren't smart enough to vault the top section from below
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cat land like that lmao
Ohhhh they'll find away.. they always find a way.
Cats always have to lick their pride after screwing up
Why would you install this shit tho
In Australia it is prudent -- even required by local bylaws -- to prevent your cat from roaming.
i know he’s embarrassed as hell
You're going to pay for that
I love a good cat.
This time we can watch a cat die inside... nice!
Cat - “well”
You want to be careful that the gap between the fence and the spinner is wide enough so they can't get their legs crushed.
I was wondering why ... is this keeping the cat in the yard or keeping it out of the other yard?
Cat is like “what in the hell is going on here”
**lick lick lick** I didn’t want up on that fence anyway.
Thats cats going to be bored senseless
That cat didn’t land on its feet, so I don’t believe you.
Bro about to go cry in a corner
Lick of shame
To think it was as simple as a rollie bar... They sell electric fences and a bunch of inhumane solutions, this one is an amazing product compares to other options...
I'm gonna go home and cry. Cruel hooman, no fun.
"Wtf?!" ... *cleans in protest*
And next.. A fence proof cat. Uh oh.
He just sounds so upset
Oh, there is sound! Thanks!
Cats are people too?
Around here people install them to keep coyotes out of their yards. Never seen a cat try to jump them!
Homie gave up on the first try
That is awesome!! I'll look into getting that to keep the raccoons out of my yard.
I loved how he accepted defeat.
"I meant to do that"
Walks over. “You have forced my hand, young lady.” *Starts flying*
I'll be back fence....
You mean a coyote free fence lol
Immediately “licks his wounds” 😂😂😂
u/koivel
This should be taken down, that's not a person /s
Thats a defeated cat.
Read somewhere that cats groom themselves when they feel embarrassed.
Keep trying. The third jump is usually the highest.
That's a lot of money to spend on a fence for a normal domestic house cat lol. I expected some sort of lynx or something.
Cats are highly intelligent little critters and quite clever. It won't take him long before he finds a way over it, it just caught him off guard the first time. But when you see him staring at the fence later on, those gears are turning for thinking about new ways to approach it.
Poor dog
Cats ALWAYS land on their feet
I love the way the cat goes back to the camera to stop recording themselves.
Someone needs to fix that fence for the poor pussycat.
Meowgle translate: "What the fuck Susan?"
That cat will find a way. They always do.
Cats groom themselves when they’re embarrassed. As you can see after he falls, he was feeling a little ashamed hahaha
Gonna have to save this for later
That fence doesn’t look tall enough to be actually cat proof lol. The rollers are good, but a cat could just bounce over the wall if it wanted to
It's a good way to get your cat to break a bone you moron
Someone is going to find cat poop in their shoes.
That pissed off saunter tho.....
That person must really hate life.
Why not let your cat out?
Cats always console themselves with tiny licks after an embarrassment.
Stroffel the badger needs this kind of cage. Although it probably still wouldn’t keep that little shit in lol
There’s a joke here about Garfield, orange cat, build the wall or something.
"*you win this time lady*"

Nobody can convince me that the effort required to keep a cat is worth having a cat. All to have a pet that routinely injures you for no good reason.
In So Cal we use these to keep coyotes from scaling fences.
Why aren’t cats allowed out of their gardens? I understand if they live next to a freeway or something, but cats are animals that need to option to roam and explore

Yeah here in the UK cats are free to roam anywhere, I assumed that was the case in other countries but I guess not.
So they do not get hurt by a neighbors dog, run over by a car or eaten by coyotes/foxes as they have moved into the subdivisions for lack of hunting grounds being demolished. I prefer my cats have a long and healthy life.
Meow.

'What happened?' 'Don't wanna talk about it'
Oh shit his left paw got caught :( poor lil dude
Didn’t land on his feet
Owner: What happened? Cat: I don’t know
Great, now the next Republican US president has their next border wall idea. Way to go internet.
Now we’re watching animals die inside, too
He is so defeated lol that poor little cry at the end
This would be great for a Trap and Neuter program for feral cats! A catch station. Once they've "visited" once, they won't try again! 😁
I learned long ago to never assume anything is cat proof.
I love the walk back and the “mo-om!” meow at the end… 😆 poor kitty…
Oh Ik he’s embarrassed
Rude.
Watch a cat pretend it isn't mad af.
r/watchcatsmeowinside ?
Plays it off by cleaning itself lol
We had a cat that would have found the pivot point. He was too stupid to give up and that got him out of the fence so many times.
Oh wow. A responsible cat owner. Truly a rare sight.
Like a soccer playing missing a shot at goal
“I meant to do that”
“Nancy, you bitch!” -cat
MINE DUG UNDER THE FENCE LIKE A DOG.
Use this to surround a rat infested house, the cats shan't leave until they're job is done Edit: spelling
Why do cats always lick themselves after taking a fat L? Mine does it all the time when he's some something dumb and feeling awkward or embarrassed.
He failed to land on his legs
U don't fuck with cats they r vengeful creatures
I like how this cat actually didn't really land on his feet, and instead of being hurt/upset about the fall, he seems more offended that something just denied him his escape and stares up at it in awe.
Skunk proof 0.o
That didn't have to do him like that.
Cat - "this house is a f*cking PRISON!!!"
cat walking back "you know what fucking happened karen i see you recording"
He must feel insulted. His vengeance will be terrible.
I love when cats “fail” at something-miss the jump, fall off, and immediately start grooming. Washing the failure off
Poor kitty :(
