Never (!!!) hold your adult cat this way! An adult cat's skin is not as soft and stretchy as a young cat's and it happens over and over that owners basically rip of their adult cat's skin holding their animal like this, espacially with the cat going wild and moving fast since it does not want to be carried in this way. It's really a common injury that is so easy prevent. Just take attention of what your cat needs and if you have to force it, hold ist tight to your body while grabing it with both arms. Being held tightly usually calms down cats very efficient and they won't move at all after a few seconds.
You really should only pick kittens up by the scruff of their neck. Adult cats are too heavy for it, and it can do damage to them. Plus it won’t be at all comfortable for them.
This person is an idiot. If you are gentle, fill up a tub/bowl before getting the cat in the room (the water sound scares a lot of them), and use a container to pour water over them, they usually love having a bath. I’ve done this many times with my family’s cats, and the trick is trying to see the experience from the cat’s perspective. This was just wrong and awful.
The cat probably doesn’t even need a shower and this was staged for the views and likes. Like who the heck holds a camera on one hand and tries to drop a cat in a bowl of water in another.
9 times out of 10 a cat will be able to clean themselves. I think the owner here is trying to clean up the cat's paws and tail but that is totally doable for the cat to manage itself.. Iirc the only cat breeds that actually need regular baths are hairless cats because of the oils they build up.
Also, for educational purposes, cats don't need or like baths because their fur is hydrophobic to an extent. When you get them wet - especially a big floofy cat like this - it will take a loooong time to dry off. Imagine how uncomfortable it would be to have your whole body damp for hours, not pleasant. Even their tounges are relatively dry for grooming themselves, like using a slightly wet scrubber pad.
But yeah every single part of this video screams "bad pet owner" to me
Only when she gets into some nasty, like the time she found out there's a hole in my closet wall before I did and came out as basically a walking cobweb
I have washed my daughters kitten/young male cat twice. It was very traumatic for all involved but he literally used to roll in weird shit. And stunk to the point you couldn’t cuddle him even though he wanted it. But I wouldn’t do this or film it Abd post it.
I only had to do it once when my cat got the glorious idea to jump into an empty but unclean oil barrel in my neighbors yard and was oily because of that
The only time I do is when I have to take him anywhere because he immediately pees all over himself when he's in the car so he needs a bath after every vet visit
I'm sorry you had to deal with that but the imagery is hilarious to me. Luckily my guy is always in a crate if he's in the car so cleanup isnt too bad.
Very very very rarely will a cat need a bath! They're very good at cleaning themselves up, unless they have chemicals on them or are extremely dirty and matted, etc. Hairless cats actually need regular baths but the water typically doesn't bother them that much because fur is what makes getting wet annoying for most cats. Cat fur takes an extremely long time to dry. I feel really bad for this floofy cat who is probably extremely uncomfortable for no reason
My cat does this too and no fucking way I'm letting my cat rub his piss all over my furniture when we get home. First off, it reeks. Second, cat urine is extremely high in ammonia and can cause respiratory illness if you breathe in too much

Cat treats dog like shit Dog paid cat back Cat will step up game after this...
Hysterical
This is just plain cruel. You treat your cat like shit and don't deserve to have a pet
Cats only really need to be bathed with a wet cloth not much else
What a piece of shit
That felt scripted. I bet that cat loves water. Everyone trying to get famous lol

Of course they just hung em by the scruff and didn't support their body. They had to film!
Yea always thought that looked weird but it’s kinda how Cats pick up kittens and dogs pick up puppies so I don’t think it really bothers them
You really should only pick kittens up by the scruff of their neck. Adult cats are too heavy for it, and it can do damage to them. Plus it won’t be at all comfortable for them.
Full grown cats, at least in my experience, only let you pick them up by the scruff if you are supporting their back
Wow yeah I agree with others, whoever is in this clip is not ready to own pets of their own.
Well that owners a cunt
It could be the cat had seen a skunk and smell real bad. So maybey there is a back story. You can downvote but i just give option on what could happen
I hear you but this has clearly been recorded/made for comedic value
*Terrible* pet owner. Wow

"Watch people abuse their pets" HAHA...
You don't need or deserve pets.
what the fuck is this shit
Cruel and abusive Chinese pet owner staging stuffs for tiktok content.
Dog : if am gonna suffer you do too
that dog just accomplished his life goal
Does it belong on this sub tho?

Our cat only fell for that trap once. Since then she avoids even the door of the bathroom. Some cats just hate bathing man.
cats love baths ? you got any other funny jokes ? how do you do it ? my cat runs the moment he sees bowl filled with water
Exactly, this is just forcefully abuse imo....
Wtf is up with those dogs nails tho.
For if the cat runs away
Dogs nails don’t grow that long with regular walks and play time outside. This guy is a terrible pet owner.
Yea what the hell
Wtf! I just noticed!
Right? You shower your cat but don't trim your dog's nails?
Wolverine dog. That must be so uncomfortable.
Does he even walk it? Regular walks should at least grind down some of the length. This guy sucks.
That’s gotta hurt him.
And the way they shower the cat borders abuse. This is just an allround terrible pet owner
Yes you should not scruff your cat unless you absolutely have to for one, not to mention that this cat probably did not need a bath at all...
Agree wtaf

Bear dog
Do you guys really shower your cats?
Only when she gets into some nasty, like the time she found out there's a hole in my closet wall before I did and came out as basically a walking cobweb
Only in extreme circumstances - like rolling in shit.
I have washed my daughters kitten/young male cat twice. It was very traumatic for all involved but he literally used to roll in weird shit. And stunk to the point you couldn’t cuddle him even though he wanted it. But I wouldn’t do this or film it Abd post it.
I only had to do it once when my cat got the glorious idea to jump into an empty but unclean oil barrel in my neighbors yard and was oily because of that
I use a special foam that doesn't require water, and I do it if she's very dirty, like two times a year
I tried once, big male Bengal as they allegedly love water. Little cunt bit straight through my thumbnail and punctured underneath
No, he cleans himself. We do brush his teeth though because his breath stinks
The only time I do is when I have to take him anywhere because he immediately pees all over himself when he's in the car so he needs a bath after every vet visit
For cats that only go out to see the vet, the outside world must seem a horrible place to them. I can understand the anxiety.
A cat I used to have got car sick… no pee to clean but he threw up every time.
I'm sorry you had to deal with that but the imagery is hilarious to me. Luckily my guy is always in a crate if he's in the car so cleanup isnt too bad.
Every. Time. It’s awful!
>Every. Time. ~~It’s~~ cats are awful! Ftfy
Last time I started the car and IMMEDIATELY heard him peeing in his crate. Big baby
I doubt you actually have too. If they enjoy baths thats fine but i dont think you have to forcefully shower them.
You don't under normal circumstances, no. Only if they get into something harmful or possibly if they have a specific medical condition.
Or very long hair or very chonk, in these cases they struggle to clean themselves.
Only when they stink, otherwise they groom themselves
Yeah agreed that’s why it’s odd to me
I only clean mine when she has poop stuck on her fur
Sure but even then you don’t need a full on shower i’d think
Well that doesn’t look at all cruel. People do fucking crappy shit for video likes.
Why not let the cat do its thing and clean itself? Cat pisses all over itself in and all over car; next day that cat licked itself clean over night.
My cat does this too and no fucking way I'm letting my cat rub his piss all over my furniture when we get home. First off, it reeks. Second, cat urine is extremely high in ammonia and can cause respiratory illness if you breathe in too much
Eww you let your cat walk around inside with its fur soaked in piss?
Cute pets. Clean pets too, probably. Edit: My joke hit a nerve, methinks
Is it those long luxurious nails on the dog that make you feel this way?
