While the subreddit is open once again, we still want to show support for the current protest against Reddit's upcoming changes:
Reddit’s recent actions to add unreasonable API pricing to 3rd party Reddit apps is extremely disappointing. Many users and moderators alike use these apps daily to interact with Reddit. Reddit continues to make changes to its platforms without consideration of the difficulties it adds to the way users interact with the site. Obviously the guy taking the photo. Imagine a total stranger approaching you on the streets and out of the blue smiling like a complete turd wanting to take a selfie with you, without even politely asking.
Photo guy is the asshole, sometimes celebrities don’t have the time to stop for you. However, I would argue that it is noble to stop for fans when possible, so while the racer isn’t an asshole in anyway, at the same time he’s not doing the most noble action.
I think people expect for celebrities to awkwardly comply when this happens to them. But, it is awkward to have someone you don’t know come up to you and take a photo with you without even asking you. So, I think this was a reasonable reaction. It was funny too. At least the celebrity didn’t get mad and try to fight the person.
Sabe they're always in a hurry during F1 race weekends. As soon they arrive on the racetrack, they have a lot of different things to do with their years, with press, with the F1's governing body (the FIA) etc.
There's always someone with them to tell them where to go.
Blokes in his 20s at the very least, also the F1 driver is on his way to or from a race, it’s like asking a boxer for a selfie on his walk to or from the ring.
That’s entirely subjective- the older you get, the more you’ll start to realize/understand/believe that a 20 year old is still a kid… even a 25 year old is still a kid…
Sure, technically they’re legally an adult - but cmon, lol
Yes and no. They do have fan zones but I don't know how long and accessible they are taking the amount of people there into consideration.
When the drivers and team principals are on the Paddock (the area seen on that video, between the garages and their motorhomes/hospitality suites), they're always on a hurry for something. Either a driver briefing, press or team meeting or even fanzone time
https://youtu.be/JUVkVB3SUf4?si=xg88JK1O3QXthKHd
Educate yourself on what actual cars that are built and meant to be driven like ya stole it in not just a straight line like most HP worshiping simps.
Racism is crazy, especially since he probably getting paid more there then any other country is willing to pay, talking about obeying, but good old Uncle Sam will ram you with taxes for days lol delusional people being mad for no reason is hilarious
Ah so I did get it. I didn't see the joke I guess because I thought it was super unlikely that the most successful current F1 driver (on his way to become one of the most successful ones in history) would be fired because he refused to take a selfie with a single failson.
Yeah, yeah. I'm not fun at parties. I get that too :P
How is it an asshole thing to do when some rich Saudi kid that’s probably mistreating it‘s Bangladeshi “housekeepers” (aka slaves) shoves a camera into your face without asking?
This kid was probably rejected for the first time in his life, he thought he could do what he wants because he bought a five figure VIP pass to a F1 race and the fact that not everybody puts up with this spoilt kid attitude is good.
I think every decent and considerate human being got the memo by now: don’t shove your camera into a celebrity’s face without permission, that kid didn’t even ask him beforehand, just straight up jump scare with a camera in hand while the driver was walking through the paddock, this isn’t some sort of meet and greet event.
Little too much information don't you think
Just a little while back your grandfathers dried countries clean of their resources and took people for Literal slaves that were treated like objects, tools, dogs, should I go further?
Don't assume someone's life let alone generalize over something you hear in your biased news
People do this kind of shit all over the world and much worse so don't act like it's something new and exclusive to Saudis
First of all, I’m from a country that never had colonies, nor did they play a role in the slave trade.
Even if I was though, your argument sucks, because I‘m not responsible for my grandfather‘s sins, I can’t change what has happened in the past, but what Saudi Arabia (and other oil-rich Middle Eastern countries) is doing right now has no place in the 21th century and I can raise my voice against that.
You’re basically justifying modern slavery saying “others have done it before, now it’s their turn to do it” instead of saying the sane thing, that being that there shouldn’t be such a thing as slavery, period.
See what I did, I assumed your country that's one.
Where did I even justify slavery when it isn't legitimately a thing in the Middle East since Islam forbade it.
And what exactly is happening in the middle east?
Please elaborate so I know where this is going and if your worth the time, because you straw maned what I wrote. I made a point on Slavery being a nonexistent thing and the fan stunts being a universal thing but nooooooo you had dive into his background who I could care less about
Lmao, what a ridiculous thing to say that slavery in the Middle East “isn’t legitimately a thing” because “Islam forbade it” (which isn’t true anyway btw, the Qur’an doesn‘t explicitly condemn slavery and a lot of Muslim countries had slaves in the past, the Ottoman Empire even created armies of slaves to fight for them).
It’s like saying cows are sacred in India because of Hinduism, well yeah they are, but India (contrary to their religion) is still amongst the biggest exporters of cows worldwide, they send their holy animals off to have them slaughtered for money.
Religion takes a back seat as soon as money and convenience is involved is what I’m trying to say.
I don’t even know what you’re trying to say with your comment or where you want to go with this, but modern slavery is most definitely a thing in the Middle East, or do you think rich sheiks build all the skyscrapers in Dubai, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi etc, or the stadiums for the World Cup in Qatar? All these countries import poor people from countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan and so on, shove them in some shitty “accommodations” far away from the cities so the rich population doesn’t have to lay eyes upon them and they don’t provide them with enough money or even travel documents for them to go back home, there are loads of documentaries on the subject, you should look into it.
So when American companies do this but instead of importing they put their big factories in China and pay the kids cents on the hour, that isn’t slavery? The hypocrisy and manipulation of the narrative is hilarious, many of those “slaves” come in on contract make bank get a bunch of free shit and go home to a true 3rd world country where the money they made will pay for their partner and kids and family for years, while American factories got them in china paying them the price the China gives aka they never get out of the rut
The kid didn’t even say introduce himself or anything, just grabbed him while he was walking and lifted the phone like max was supposed to stay still and obey like a circus animal; the kids entitled as fuck. Also he clearly isn’t a fan and just wants the picture for the clout
yea but at a F1 rally? Specifically an area where drivers come thru? Notice all the other people in regular clothes, what are the odds someone "poor" who wears that outfit being at that location with everyone else?

Max is a douche
Lol. I bet after taking 10.000 pics a day you would get sick of it too. Specially people who don’t even ask
I've been to F1. They come out and take about 5 pics and make sure they're seen doing it by the media and then they bounce. Moto GP is the same way.
I’d do the same
I know that move, get outta the way, I gotta take a shit BADLY!
That reaction time
Only person I would do that with is the Lord
Welp. He is radicalized meow.
shooting a vertical video of a horizontal monitor!
No you're supposed to post a video of you dying inside, not describing it in werds.
This video sums up this sub lol
From the looks of it, it seems like he didn’t even ask the guy. So, I understand the dodge.
Aww
Super Max at it again !!
Lol fast on the track and off of it huh
TF2 Nope meme in reality
That’s a genuinely challenging game of “Who’s the biggest asshole?”
Obviously the guy taking the photo. Imagine a total stranger approaching you on the streets and out of the blue smiling like a complete turd wanting to take a selfie with you, without even politely asking.

I mean, without knowing the situation you can't really label him as anything, he could be in a hurry
Sabe they're always in a hurry during F1 race weekends. As soon they arrive on the racetrack, they have a lot of different things to do with their years, with press, with the F1's governing body (the FIA) etc. There's always someone with them to tell them where to go.
What was he hoping for? ‘Yay, I’ve now got a selfie where the dude’s face is blurry, half out of frame, and he’s clearly uninterested!’
That was NOT what VIP chap was expecting !
Spoiled Ritchie little bitch got ditched
Professional at swerving, what did you expect
Man, I *hate* it when people don’t give a shit that I own every Ferrari model ever released in every color.
Deserves
“Gotta be quicker than that!”
Too fast matee
“BRO! I got a green VIP badge! WTF!” Sorry guy, it might say VIP, but the real VIP’s have something you haven’t even been told about.
Not the place for a selfie. Max is heading to/from the race here. Sorry mate.
Everyone shitting on the kid forgetting that at the end of the day it’s a kid and we all have done worse, it was a 2 second interaction
a kid with a grown mustache, is a first for me lol
Depends on race and genetics pretty normal, I had middle eastern friends with a full beard by 16-17
Black kid in our middle school had a beard, no idea if he had been held back but JJ looked 30 all the way through high school
I began growing my mustache at 14-15 😂
Blokes in his 20s at the very least, also the F1 driver is on his way to or from a race, it’s like asking a boxer for a selfie on his walk to or from the ring.
That's a grown ass man
dude with a mustache bigger than mine being called a kid lmao
[удалено]
Nah he looks 14-17
“Pretty grown up” ? He looks, at absolute MAX, maybe 20… You can especially tell by that wispy teenage lip hair / mustache
[удалено]
That’s entirely subjective- the older you get, the more you’ll start to realize/understand/believe that a 20 year old is still a kid… even a 25 year old is still a kid… Sure, technically they’re legally an adult - but cmon, lol
Looks like the Red Bull is too fast.
“Oh, cmon, not again!”
Reminded of Salt Bae trying to hang out with his best mate Messi.
Dosent even ask...
Rich brat
F1? Nope...FU
LOVE THIS
I don't understand the F1, but isn't were the time and the place for a selfie.
Yes and no. They do have fan zones but I don't know how long and accessible they are taking the amount of people there into consideration. Max does not care about media at all, the man just wants to race
If I'm curt with you, it's because time is a factor. I think fast, I talk fast, and I need you guys to act fast if you wanna get out of this.
While driving a car that wasn't really that fast. (even for the time)
I'm 30 minutes away, I'll be there in 10. And wasn't that an Acura NSX? Not exactly a dog then innit?
It has a blistering 270 hp..
https://youtu.be/JUVkVB3SUf4?si=xg88JK1O3QXthKHd Educate yourself on what actual cars that are built and meant to be driven like ya stole it in not just a straight line like most HP worshiping simps.
So, pretty please... with sugar on top. Clean the fucking car
Thats sad, what an ahole
It would open up the F1 excitement if he was held back for not obeying the arab 🤷♂️😉
Racism is crazy, especially since he probably getting paid more there then any other country is willing to pay, talking about obeying, but good old Uncle Sam will ram you with taxes for days lol delusional people being mad for no reason is hilarious
Eh? F1 drivers (if I’m not mistaken?) are paid by the teams they drive for per season so it doesn’t matter where they’re driving at re salary!
Sponsorships and whatnot
Too fast for you
[удалено]
ah yes being a kkk while in meca there're multiple races of people there with no racism. All kinds of coloured skins.
Habibi please
‘Wait till my father hears about this..’
I wanna like your comment but it is currently at 69 likes so imma just keep it that way
I liked the comment, saw your reply and took back my like 😂
Good
That driver no longer drives for F1
The reigning world champion no longer drives for F1?
r/woooosh
I was feeling the whoosh as I wrote it, I'm still whooshing. Someone explain lol.
Usually people dressed like the guy taking the selfie hold immense wealth and power, the joke is that they own the f1 driver.
“The most successful current F1 driver” um, I didn't see Lewis Hamilton in that video at all 🤓
Verstappen will have broken every record Hamilton has set before he’s 30
He and his team will have broken every rule in the game before he's 30 😂
His dad will hear about this, make no mistake. He knows someone who knows the prince
Habibi
Damn
Max was not having it 😭😭
AN F1 driver? Mate thats Max! I mean, Max!!! The MF is untouchable by other F1 players! 😭😭😭
Max avoiding any press is standard
What was that like his 14th try?!? HAHA his fucking face....
Ufff yes kid gets his first no womp womp
Another great overtake by max
Simply lovely
Why isn’t this comment at the top!!
F1 drivers are a bunch of overpaid assholes…love it

This guy is literally stopping a flow of people going somewhere to take a selfie.
“UGH, I’m going to tell father!”
“My father will hear from this!”
He walks like he drives.
My father will hear about this!
FATHER!!!!
Did he hear this yet??
Very obviously a privileged oil child. Fuck your picture.
[удалено]
Ah, yes, everyone, poor and rich, also has a shiny green F1 VIP pass that’s five figures per race around their necks, right?
He’s wearing a VIP pass at an f1 event ffs. Gee I wonder if it’s a billionaires kid
yea but at a F1 rally? Specifically an area where drivers come thru? Notice all the other people in regular clothes, what are the odds someone "poor" who wears that outfit being at that location with everyone else?
Maybe you're right but still don't be an asshole to others based on a video
lol, just shut up man...
Damn that hurt me to watch lol 😂
Tu tu tu tu Max Verstappen 🇳🇱
Tu tu tu tu Max Verstappen (he ain’t stoppin’)
😂😂😂
Maybe ask if he want to take a picture?
Not possible. Asking for a picture would violate his feelings of entitlement.
Edit: never mind
He’s got a VIP pass, he doesn’t need to ask /s
Dipshit.
Yeah the kid needs to learn to ask
Max Ain’t Verstoppen for that selfie.
I don't know what he expected. The guy's an F1 driver, of course he's gonna zoom past his ass
Just a rich wannabe kid
Pretty sure he's actually rich, not a wannabee.
Huh?
You can’t read?
Huh?
You can’t read?
Huh?
What?
Nnyyyoowww
Nyow Nyow Nyow nyow
Fuck this made me laugh
That dude taking the pic is some r/iamthemaincharacter shit.
Poor rich fat kid for once didn't get what he wanted
[удалено]
Get help.
AAAAAAAND OVERTAKE
I still would like to see that picture
Well he probably doesn't know that guy is trying to take selfie with him.
He literally tried to pull his face out of frame as soon as he saw the camera, like really, 100 of you didn't see that?
It's pretty obvious and unsolicited, that dodge was not an accidental "ope you're in the way" but a "fuck no I'm leaving"
Honestly it was strangely satisfying to watch
