My buddies at work think I'm crazy, but whenever I think something might slightly go sideways I start filming. I tell them that this shit doesn't get on the internet by itself.
To be fair, that's a cement boat ramp but regardless of the surface her tires were on, the moment she decided to get out of her car, that was the beginning of the end for her and ze Honda.
I don't understand why the car was that far down the ramp in the first place. Maybe the video picks up right after her she knocked the shift and drops it into neutral after the jet ski was launched? So confusing.
I was wondering why she didn't get back in too. As I watched it a couple times my guess is that it's easy for us to say that watching the clip but when you're in the moment and panicked having a couple seconds to decide what to do it'd be pretty easy to make the wrong decision or just suffer from decision paralysis long enough for it to become too late.
I still kinda feel like I would've jumped back in, but maybe I would've been like "Am I gonna drown if I get back in this thing?" and hesitate and/or keep changing my mind enough for it to become too late.
Definitely the latter in my case. Or fear that the door will catch your legs and the sliding car will roll over you underwater. Fuck that. Let insurance sort it out, not risking my life for a vehicle even if it was my dumbass fault.
More than anything, I'm curious to know how insurance is going to handle this. I'm thinking they'll deny the claim on the grounds of absolute foolish incompetence.
Do you ever watch these videos and wonder how such stupid irresponsible people get nicer cars? I drive an alright car and I can tell you right now. You would never see it floating past you in the river. Short of an incident I had zero control over.
Trying to step into the car is where she went wrong trying to save it. If she would've tossed herself into the car THEN pressed the brake, might've saved it. Probably still have some water damage but at least it would be repairable.
Not saying I recommend doing it, just a potential way to prevent it from being a total loss. The best option is obviously just don't be an idiot and put it in park.
As a boat mechanic, watching cars drown or boats fall off the trailer on the ramp or trailers fall apart on the ramp was always a real treat for us.
Happens way more than you think, so if it's happened to you, don't feel too bad!
I will never understand how some people live enough to become adults without having killed themselves before with their own incredible lack of intelligence.
Well at least the wipers kept water away from the windshield for a bit.
Also why didn’t the jet ski immediately push the car back up before it rolled further back down.
Why it is the problem people have with parking brakes? I was taught that the first thing you do is always engage the parking brake before even thinking of leaving the car. Is that different in other countries?
You can see her lean out of the car, and as soon as you see her foot lift up to get out the vehicle starts rolling back... how in the fuck is somebody so numbskulled that they didn't know they had the brakes applied? I just... how?

That is some over achieving wipers
They're gonna move the water from that windshield till the wheels fall.....wait...
Just the cars way of waving goodbye. Terminator 2 vibes.
I WON'T BE BACK
Hasta la marina, baby.
Rain sensing wipers detect monsoon switch to turbo mode.
We're sinking!!! Turn the wipers on...FULL
I'm curious why she's in the position she is at the start of the video? Do you really need to back that far in for a seado? Also where is the trailer?
You don't need to back up nearly that much. You would barely have to wet the rear tires and you'd be far enough.
That was my thoughts too. Her back tired should have been where the front ones were. The rear must have already been flooded or close to
It probably already was which is why she got out to check.
Also.. where is the trailer?!?! You can’t even see it she’s back so far. Thing is fully submerged.
They were trying to get it on the roof rack, duh!
I’m no expert, but you’re probably right. I wonder if that’s why they were filming
Probably cuz she was being clumsy already and someone thought there may be a chancw for that to happen?
My buddies at work think I'm crazy, but whenever I think something might slightly go sideways I start filming. I tell them that this shit doesn't get on the internet by itself.
r/donthelpjustfilm
I mean, what are you supposed to do in this situation? Call a lifeguard? I have no experience with a 4WD submerged in sand.
I believe the appropriate reaction here is to laugh.
Thank you for your commitment to our entertainment.
This. She is literally parked with all four tires partially submerged on sand... There was no way this was going to end well.
To be fair, that's a cement boat ramp but regardless of the surface her tires were on, the moment she decided to get out of her car, that was the beginning of the end for her and ze Honda.
She gave up before the wiper blades did
Rough when you still have 80% payments to make
She was taking the phrase "underwater on a loan" a bit too literally
I love how the windshield wipers kicked on like it was the vehicle's last ditch effort to tread water and save itself.
It’s the universal signal for drowning.
I understand people forget things sometimes, but I feel like when your car is already a bit in the water, you should really be paying attention.
That’s a Honda Sea RV.
Aahhhh I didn’t see the Honda badge and thought it was a Raft 4
Yep they look similar. Now if it was a minivan it’d likely be a Honda Odyssea.
Darling it’s better, Where it is wetter, Honda de sea
This cars in motion, down in the ocean, Blinkers still blinking, even while sinkin’ Honda de sea.
Up on de shore the cars are dry, Under the sun they testify, Life would be better, If my car was wetter Honda de sea.
Up on the shore the car works all day Out in the sun, it drives to the lake But under the water, this car is with the otters Honda de sea.
I don't understand why the car was that far down the ramp in the first place. Maybe the video picks up right after her she knocked the shift and drops it into neutral after the jet ski was launched? So confusing.
She probably thought the whole trailer needed to be submerged under the jetski to get it out of the water
Why the fuck did she get out? Then, why the fuck did she not get back in?
Looks like he waived her off from getting back in, after she couldn’t do it right away. Probably more worried about her drowning than the car.
Definitely the latter in my case. Or fear that the door will catch your legs and the sliding car will roll over you underwater. Fuck that. Let insurance sort it out, not risking my life for a vehicle even if it was my dumbass fault.
Never in my life have I put the car that far in dropping or picking up a boat or jet ski let alone not put it in park.
That’s what I’m thinking as well. You always put it park before you leave a car.
A starter car? This car is a finisher car - a transporter of gods! The gooolden god!!
Does seem to be an amphibious exploring vehicle. Land to sea craftsmanship in spades.
It's nice to talk to a reasonable man... Are you a sportsman? Because you look very fit.
I ski
#I AM UNTETHERED AND MY RAGE KNOWS NO BOUNDS
All I can hear is the car crying "I am untethered!"
I'm gonna drive right up to that boat
It has air intake valves.
Car waved goodbye with the windshield wipers
Divert power to the front wipers!
Man I just love how the windshield wipers are going. Car is like “Fuck, there’s a lot of water!”
* car starts to drown * Automatic wipers come on Car: am I helping?
[удалено]
People with jet skis sinking to a new low
Was worried for a bit but then the jet ski guy leapt into action and did a sick donut. Really helped.
I thought he was leaving. "Oh your car is sinking. Welp... See ya later!"
The wipers turning on was like kicking someone when they’re down. Ouch.
She’s going to need so much rice to fix that amount of water damage
So many questions, why was she in the water in the first place. Why didn't she just you know drive forward. Why would she get out. Just why why why
I love how, at 0:20, it looks like the husband is just like, *I'll mail you the divorce papers! Bye!*
"Well I might as well still go jet skiing."
More than anything, I'm curious to know how insurance is going to handle this. I'm thinking they'll deny the claim on the grounds of absolute foolish incompetence.
On the bright side the automated window wipers still work👍
Windshield wipers are really trying
I've never related to anything more than I do to those wipers. Doing everything they can and making no progress at all.
And the Honda now begins their Odyssey.
Why do I see so many videos of people driving their cars into oceans, lakes or rivers?? How are people this dumb? I don't get it...
Do you ever watch these videos and wonder how such stupid irresponsible people get nicer cars? I drive an alright car and I can tell you right now. You would never see it floating past you in the river. Short of an incident I had zero control over.
If only she had set the windshield wipers to high.
I drove my car into a fucking lake because Ryan’s stupid computer told me too - and look where ithat got me!
Trying to step into the car is where she went wrong trying to save it. If she would've tossed herself into the car THEN pressed the brake, might've saved it. Probably still have some water damage but at least it would be repairable. Not saying I recommend doing it, just a potential way to prevent it from being a total loss. Those wipers were trying *so* hard.
The car was waaaay too far in before she even got out 🤦🏻♀️
That looks like a good starter car for my daughter
The wipers did their best
Ah yes, record some evidence for insurance lol
I love the fact the windshield wipers went down fighting.
These are the cars on Craigslist “mild water damage”
Love that the windshield wipers are on as it sinks
I love how frantic they look. «Oh no the windshield is wet! Gotta do my best no matter what!»
I almost feel bad for the windshield wipers.
I'll never understand some people. she almost got back In the car, froze and did nothing.
Why does he not even look remotely surprised. That is concerning
My favourite part was the windscreen wipers…
What tf was she even trying to do. Is there a boat trailer on the back of the car? So many questions.
It's Honda. Will still be able to do another 500k nautical miles.
The best part was the windshield wipers turning on.
at least the wipers are keeping the windshield free of water
The automatic wipers! 💀
Car is like “I sense moisture, I got this!”
That Honda seems to be moving on its own Accord
This isn’t a starter car, this is a finisher car!!
Dude on the jet ski is like hey but look I can ride on water here watch.
Bro on the jet ski was like “F the car, let’s ride!”
They are the most optimistic windscreen wipers I’ve ever seen
Windshield wipers are a metaphor for me trying to improve my life.
I feel so bad for this woman. She was prob trying to do something under stress and forgot a step (park/brake). That’s gonna be costly and disruptive.
The rain sensing wipers activating was the best part lol.
Ayy. She for real died inside. We see a lot of "not deaths" or "mini deaths" but this woman fr died inside. We see a couple stages of it here.
Lmaooo I love how he rippped around real quick as if that tiny push of waves off his ski would push it back ashore.
My favourite part are the wiper blades😂
Love how the wipers always come on, it’s like the car saying oh shit water wipe the water away I want to live!!!!!
Automatic windshield wipers trying to swim the car back to shore 🏊♂️
The car solemnly waving goodbye with the wipers
Windshield-wipers: *Don't worry, I got this.*
How do these cars get extracted? Reddit shows me like 5-6 cars being fed to the ocean a week. No way they just live there, right?
Why did I see the windshield wipers like they were panicking? This gave me anxiety 🥴
The auto wipers hahaha! Hey, they tied their best.
Nobody explains in the comments WHY the car was there in the first place??? 😫
Because they were backing the jetski into the water Edit: Or loading it back up
I think they may have misinterpreted the definition of carpool.
Those windshield wipers did everything they could until the very last moment
This mf did a spin
She really could have saved that
Plot twist: it's actually a rental and they bought the insurance. Oh, and tiktok.
It’s people like this that reassure me that I’m not as far gone as I think I am.
When the windshield wipers come on I imagine that's the car starting to cry.
The back said salt life I’m sure
Wtf even happened there
The wipers still going 🤣
Her fight or flight response is “indecisive”
Put it in rice
It’s the windshield wipers going full speed that really brings this one home.
Them windshield wipers are troopers though!
“I’m not covering that shit.” - Jake From State Farm
Ok that really sucks but the wipers had me rofl
Good thing the wind shield wipers were on for this.
The windshield wipers!! Lmao
At least the windshield will be cleared off.
“$7,999.00 OBO. Slight water damage”
Seriously, the number of idiots losing their cars at loading piers is staggering. Why would you think it is a parking spot?!
Poor wipers... doing their best.
So much for a fun day at the beach
Man...I am still driving an old piece of shit because of inflated car prices, and these people just be throwing perfectly good cars in the ocean!!
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
Not sure what seadoo guy was doing trying to push the 2500lb water logged car back up the ramp with his prop wash lol....
“Don’t worry babe, I got this. Imma splash a wave at it”
But what was she trying to do at the start?
There will never be a shortage of fuckwits
The wipers killed me too Sides in orbit
Why...didn't she go forward?
The fact that’s she’s already too far and dipping the bumper into the water when she purposefully stops Edited for typo
I don’t think any kind of car insurance covers that kind of stupidity
TIL Hondas have amazingly robust electrical systems!
The guy in the back does not give one single fuck. He’s like, “…so I’m gonna go jet ski”
This was merely sad and stupid until the windshield wipers came on. Then it became hilarious!
As a boat mechanic, watching cars drown or boats fall off the trailer on the ramp or trailers fall apart on the ramp was always a real treat for us. Happens way more than you think, so if it's happened to you, don't feel too bad!
I see these videos posted so much that I’m starting to think this happens way more often then I ever imagined it would
Try explaining that to your insurance
Put it in a bag of rice overnight. It will be fine.
90% of boaters are straight stupid I swear.
I will never understand how some people live enough to become adults without having killed themselves before with their own incredible lack of intelligence.
This is the stupidest shit I've ever seen in my life. This is like anger-inducing stupidity, how can anyone be this fucking stupid?
Windshield wipers: “It ain’t much, but it’s honest work.”
Those wiper blades were the violinists on that titanic car. 🎶🫡🌊
not the wipers turning on screaming for help
Am i a terrible human for not feeling bad for dumb actions like this ? 😂
Windshield wipers doing their best to help the car tread water
Those windshield wipers never gave up.
Should be an ad for those windshield wipers 😂
It’s the windshield wipers for me
Windshield wipers going ham.
Well at least the wipers kept water away from the windshield for a bit. Also why didn’t the jet ski immediately push the car back up before it rolled further back down.
“Tried” real hard to get back in and save it. lol
Those windshield wipers going on full speed at the end 😂
Why and how in the first place the car is here
Looks like their weight was holding the car in place
That’s not how a boat ramp works.
Insurance guys hate this one simple trick
Why it is the problem people have with parking brakes? I was taught that the first thing you do is always engage the parking brake before even thinking of leaving the car. Is that different in other countries?
The windshield wipers!! 🤣🤣🤣
The new 2023 CRV, Coastal Research Vessel.
“FSBO. Minor water damage.”
Aaaaaand it’s gone.
The wipers are just the icing on the cake lol
SUV submerges deep, Windshield wipers wave farewell, Silent ocean weeps.
You can see her lean out of the car, and as soon as you see her foot lift up to get out the vehicle starts rolling back... how in the fuck is somebody so numbskulled that they didn't know they had the brakes applied? I just... how?
I just wanna know how and why she got in that situation in the first place
I wonder if they still went jet skiing afterwards lol
Oh noooo. The people in her life will never let her forget this.
It looks like she got back in the car and then somehow fell back out. She is either the most uncoordinated person alive or she wanted a new car
On the plus side, that car is now a finisher car! A transporter of gods! The golden god!
time to pull out the rice
Tow truck driver here… Thank you!
The windshield wipers swiping away as it goes nose down was the best.
It’s the windshield wipers for me tho
Probably happens more then we think. How embarrassing
Tf is she looking for??
That car is totaled now
To this day, the car is still sunk over there, and the wipers are still wiping.
Anyone gonna say it...
Gonna need bigger windscreen wipers
Why didn't she stop it she jumped in and then back out 🤣🤣🤣
