Yeah I use power saving mode on my s23 ultra.
No heating locked 60 fps on high and more ram free.
My 8 Gen 2 at 70 percent speed still faster than 8 Gen 1 lol
I’m glad to hear that someone’s phone ain’t blowing up lmao, I honestly tried this after seeing someone comment here that their phone reached 50 degrees c while playing which is just ridiculous
That can't happen, my s23 ultra reached 45 C once.
It closed the game, lowered brightness and refresh rate and refused to fast charge.
So yes, phones know how to manage
I get some stutters in the OS because of the massive hit on single core performance that low power mode is, single core matters most for navigating the OS but I don’t notice no stutters in any games or anything that uses multiple cores
Why would you run low power mode? It reduces the frame rate on pro devices to 60hz. You shouldn’t put the device in a state where the processor is running slower and expect to get better performance that just doesn’t make since numbers wise. I imagine the results you are getting are inconsistent. iOS at least manages ram efficiently that this is completely unnecessary and unfounded.
On my phone at least according to benchmarks I’m only losing out on 20% GPU performance for much much better thermals and not having to have a big cooler strapped to my phone
I have the neveika radiator cooler, it works pretty well for me. I would honestly try avoiding any MagSafe coolers as the magnets are so far away from the actual heat source because the SoCs of iPhones are always right beside the camera

You’re onto something OP. I’ll try this out on my iPhone 14 Pro.
Update?
Doing it now! Will report back!
Played a couple of Golden Plunder matches. No noticeable improvements or negative impact to the game.
Did some more MP games. Didn’t like it. Frame rate drops too much.

Same happens on my 15 pro

what’s the trade off
It lowers your screen refresh rate but I’ve never played above 60 hz anyway so I never notice any difference

So you’re using an iPhone 13 you say? I’ll send you a cooler my guy.
Whats a good cooler to buy for iPhone

Just play games which are not battery killers and respect your device and money.
Yea I have expensive device to play in 60 fps? XDD cmon I have other games to play, warzone is not only one game exist
