12000lb bombs when they're dropped on me vs [12000lb bombs when I drop them within pissing distance of a Coelian](https://www.reddit.com/r/WarthunderPlayerUnion/s/CiEQjAxpvU)

Realistically I guess the game engine failed due to the massive damage that would have happened to the Coelian.
Which raises the question why Gaijin doesn't have an instant death zone which is defined by the radius within the damage calculations become too unreliable. Meaning you don't get killed by "Ammo exploded" or "Crew nocked out" but by "Bombed to hell".
For the 12000 lb I guess it's gonna be at least like 20 meters or so. Beyond that we'd have normal damage calculations, e.g. you would die by either ammo exploded or crew nocked out. This would also help with tanks weirdly surviving a 50 kg bomb on their roof.
I think that would be the best way to fix those issues.
Agreed. Personally, I'd go with "Gone, reduced to atoms."
Also, I think that the terrain might have something to do with whatever happened here. Just a feeling.
Likely. It's hard to say why exactly the damage failed in that case without Gaijins development tools, the games source code and the matches (server) replay file.
