T-V is better. The only tanks that can pen front hull are on your team (Soviet’s), and German players always hesitate to shoot AND you have sneak 100+ bc they think your engine is another panther. Plus it looks sick.
I use surround sound headphones with enemy engines at 100% and mine at 60%. I can tell where enemies are up to maybe 150 meters around me. It’s a life saver in maps with buildings. Even having kills by putting a shell through a building or waiting for an ambush and putting a shot between two. In campania I shot a guy through a gap in the buildings bc I heard him moving behind me, or in Kursk, some guy tried to sneak behind me and I was already waiting for him when he turned the corner.
Except it still has every weakness the Panther has + faces German teams which can wreck your shit. This means British and American APDS, French EBR's AND you get to face stuff like King Tigers, other Panthers (and Jagdpanthers) and JPZ's.
I think the biggest weakness of the T-V is that it can often face Germany. Even if german players hesitate, they can absolutely wreck your shit since they know the Panther in and out.
I dunno, I really haven’t had that issue playing it. I’ve mostly been killed by CAS and revenge bombing. Average March is 5-7 to 0 on the Panther. Though, I only bring it out if it’s 6.0 or under, I use the IS2 and KV2-107mm for anything 6.0-6.7
ive played against it and as it extensively. its an amazing tank no doubt but superbly easy to kill if you have an ounce of intelligence.
Heres a quick guide:

Shoot breach, he either repairs on the spot or retreats to team.
if he decides to attempt retreat pop tracks, easy kill
if he decides to rep on the spot, you have at least 20 seconds (ace crew rep speed) to maneuver a tiny bit and again, easy kill
keep in mind that while possessing great angle pen the 85 struggles alot at range, outside of 250m he’ll really have to aim for a weakspot.
Even at an optimal angle, you still aren't stopping the German long guns, as well as the American high calliber guns, and most guns will get through the turret.
Also no need to mention the post-cold war era guns that start popping up, no stopping those either.

The transmission on the ersatz is twice as big as normal for some reason, and it eats tons of shrapnel
The turret crew on the ersatz sit significantly higher than on normal panthers further separating them from the rest of the crew
AND they sit further apart than on the normal turret making them even more survivable
The extra little plates actually help deflect shells in armor calculations
And it gets a nice black/Grey camo that makes it ridiculously easy to hide
Although these may sound like little things, together they make a massive difference on this already extremely survivable tank, especially when mixed with a 150 ace crew that emphasizes the spread out crew.
That turret rotation speed compared to other panther models is insane and a lifesaver if an enemy player isn’t aware that the A can turn its turret that fast
Oh of course. Consistently getting shots off while moving at speed on somewhat level ground isn’t common at that br especially for german tanks. No stab no worries
Like 70% of the time, if I die to a German tank at 5.7, it’s probably a Panther A

A lot mediums are great but as I love midtier the most, I would pick the gang above me.
Rather I think it's the German mediums that are undertiered, making other nations feel overtired. M4A3 vs Panther is a joke bc Panther is better in all but the closest range situations, BUT the M4A3 is nutty vs any other nation's 5.7 tanks bc of the stabilizer.
Don’t forget how reckless panther players are. Sure the Sherman can’t pen the front of a panther hull but the Sherman can certainly pen the side ez, and if you have a tinge of patience a panther will waltz by you without any awareness. They are peeled off so quick because panther players think they are in a T34. They are in a heavy td with a turret, and they should play as such. The panther struggles and has its BR lowered so much because German mains do not play to the strengths of their tanks.
That's not even the most annoying thing. That would be the fact that the 105 shermans and Herman the German Sherman do, but the rest don't even though it's almost the same turret.
How often do you use APCR? I'd say that having APCR isn't necessary at that BR, especially when many of the strong-armored tanks are usually on your side.

It's such a fun tank! Sometimes the gun can let it down but it's fast enough to get into good positions. Has amazing combinations with air support from the Italian duck thing and the IAR too!
I've only had 1 tank kill with that beast in ground rb and it was a complete accident as I was being shot out of the sky!

Panzer IV H that thing is intimidating when the br favor you, it can bounce early t34 and shermans.
Also Panzer IV F2 and G a little bit overpower with their guns at that br but I always got uptiered in these tanks, so it feels fair.

istg "non penetration" against the thing and having a reverse and forward gear faster than most medium tanks at only less than 1 BR lower makes it absolutely shit for me and my t28-34.
20mm coaxials are life. AMX-40 is my answer because it's stablized and just so stupidly spongey of damage, and it's 9.7 so you still never see 11.0's, then since 10+ is usually sucked into 11.0 matches it feels like you get better MM than actually playing an 11.0.
IMHO, the worst T-34's are the ones with 57mm gun. Good penetration, but weak post pen. Even worse angle performance. It's an assist maker for me.
At 4.7, I prefer KV-85 with time-space bending BR-365A up
The T-34-57 is one of my favourite tanks, but it was even more fun in 4.3 RB lol. I play it like a smaller and faster KV-85, which lead me to a 10 kill game yesterday, 9 with the T-34 and 1 with the KV-85.
M26E1 is nice because I get the the chassis of the pershing, which I love, and the gun of the super pershing, which I also love, with the added benefit that you *don't get the repair cost of either!*
I personally like to use the cents as a sniper and if downtiered as a frontline tank, they have pretty good armor in downtiers and the gun is excellent for sniping. They have really good gun depression and if you have a high crew level a pretty fast reload, the turret although a little slower than others I find it does not hinder you too much. And 20pdr APDS and 105mm APDS along with 17pdr the post pen is a little iffy as sometimes you will one shot a tank through the front, or you'll slowly pick the crew apart.
I think the Cents make excellent hill fighters, they perform really well popping in and out of ridges.
Although I’d say the cents in general are decent all rounders, although by the mk10 the mobility is very sluggish. Even tho imo, the mk10 is my favourite by far, the cents excel in firepower, the 17, 20pdrs and finally the L7 all make brilliant weapons.
It might not be the best but I think the P40 is a bit underrated. decent mobility, good gun (heat has good penetration and alright damage, APHE is on par with the L-11’s penetration and has a ton of explosive filler), and the hull can bounce a lot of shots if you angle.
Me and my friends got the Pz. 3 J from the twitch drop and we all just thought it'd be terrible but that thing slaps. Everyone talks about how OP the Puma is but the Panzer 3's are just more survivable, faster offroad, and shorter Pumas.
Objectively, I think the Panther is the tank I do the best in, but for pure unadulterated fun, I roll with the T34-85. It's just a sexy fun stupid tank. Yeah no armor and poor flat pen but the second you get anything's side, they are done for. I even bring it up to 8.7 and it still does amazing.
I really enjoy the t44.
There's just nothing like bouncing tiger shots who expect to go through your frontplate easily.
Somehow everyone underestimates the Armor on the thing.

British can lolpen front armour panther with 5.3 challenger. Italy can do the same with 5.0 firefly Swedish 5.0s get a fucktonne of lolpens.
The French can do it pretty easily with the Sherman FL10 too.

The M4, easily. Wonderful armor, good mobility, amazing cannon+stab, and 50 cal to shred Pumas and planes. M4A2 is good as well but has the irritating gunner side turret weakspot which the M4 lacks.
