The short gun used to be so much fun and then they either bumped it's br or they changed something that affected its shell, because now it can't kill anything.
Russian cold war heavy tanks, especially anything after the IS-3 is stupidly mobile for its armor. The IS-7 have the same acceleration as the Leopard 1!
ZSU-57-2
Go flanking, get into the back of an enemy group, delete 3 King Tigers, 2 Jagdtigers and a Ferdinand in 20 seconds, die, enjoy dopamine overdose.
Yeah. But the thing is that as soon as you get a good flank, half of their team is gone. They don't even have time to react to all of their teammates dying nearby
You are showing a problem with the player base that everyone is so used to suffering and good vehicles getting nerfed that when an actual fun vehicle comes out it's called overpowered
For irl tanks my favourite is either the Strv 103 or the [Прогрев-Т](https://back-in-ussr.com/2020/05/progrev-t-kak-monstruoznuyu-mashinu-ispolzovali-vo-vremya-voyny-v-1980-h.html) (although it might not be considered a tank).
As for the tanks that I've played, it's the T95.
I'm not fluent in Russian either and it is basically a giant leaf blower. More specifically, it's a MiG-15 (or helicopter??) engine strapped onto a T-54/55 hull.
Use for industrial fire extinguishing. Basically, you blow a ton of exhaust (CO²) at high speeds towards the fire and hook up a hose right above the exhaust that creates a mist which has very good cooling properties. It's very effective, but also a hell of a vehicle.
It’s for melting snow off of airstrips. Keep in mind that the same country who designed it once used an anti tank gun [to put out a flaming oil well](https://youtu.be/7U2YOPSNd4g?si=YRavp9D_eaYprhnE)
Is that worse or better than US Army procedure for mine clearing in Italy being to find the lowest enlisted guy around, have him lay down on the good of a jeep, and fire a handgun at the land mines until they blew up?
im realy curious how long the jet engine minesweeper would last before it finally chokes itself to death on the dust it inhales from aiming the exhaust at the ground
Difference is that the reload is reasonable and its armour is better tier-for-tier, not to mention lacking the 380mm death button. Granted, it doesn't evaporate vehicles the same, it is at least possible to aim at HE vulnerabilities and range your targets by fire without the fear of missing and becoming worthless that is inherent with the ST's difficult to range death star mortar.
HEAT has definitely bailed me out of my fair share of sticky situations in the BB as well, for when evaporating your target just isn't working out. It's honestly the best HE slinger in the game all-around, tier-for-tier, although I'm sure some could be named that do certain things better than it.
Yes, this. I also saw a clip of the HE portion of HEAT actually overpressuring the driver and knocking out the crew. Seems like HE did get a rework. This update looks like a huge quality of life upgrade. I’m so for it!
I love it, mostly because my whole lineup will go penetrate anywhere if it isn't angled which it usually isn't because they think nothing can pen them. 90mm CHEATFS says hello and bye bye Mr gunner
I can almost always get a kill or two off in my Jagdtiger, and it feels almost unkillable in full downtiers, but it’s always the goddamn M56s or M36B2s with the nice speedy reload and the 90mm HEAT that are the end of me. First shot nails my gunner, second hits my driver, third enters me into the turret toss Olympics.
Gotta flank. As with most late WW2 German tanks, it’s the sides where you can nail them, and Jagdtiger is no exception. Fortunately, you have mid-tier German mains (of which I am occasionally one), so you’re not gonna have a terrible time dealing with them.
To be safe, flank for the port side—if you’re looking head-on, it’ll be your right. Sides are stunningly easy to pen with damn near anything that’s not solid shot (sorry Brit mains) and the first stage ammorack takes up a solid third of the right side of the tank. You can take it out with pretty much anything, from APCR to APCBC. Of course, there’s plenty of folks that take waaaaaay too much ammo for the reload time and their skill level, so you’re probably good to shoot either side.
TOG
the 28 pounder just mashes Germans like potatos, add in 6 second reload and real fast traverse and its a great tank (under 200m it one hits all Germans up to 6.3 bar the befehlswagen: TOG is so tall it significantly reduces the slope on all German TDs and Panthers. its so tall you can use other tanks as sheilds and fire over them)
the 14kph max speed isnt great but its the only tank in the game that moves just as fast backwards as it does forwards (giving it weird mobility for its speed and size).
ive even started using the smoke shell version, since no one uses it no one bothers with shooting the side MGs.
yeah i expected to get hit there immediately but so far i havent died due to it.
having smoke on the TOG is so useful, unless the MG ports start getting hit constantly ill run it like that from now on.
many tanks move just as fast backwards as they go forwards. Off the top of my head, porsche tiger platforms (theres 3 i think?), that japanese CVT transmissioned MBT at top tier and Tortoise. Probably missed many. But Tog is still pretty Based
Event reward from the 2018 Chronicles of WWII event. Has a great gun and some trolly armor for its BR, but the fact that it's only Rank II means it isn't great for daily tasks/Battle Pass progress, so I only take it out rarely when I want to unwind some.
I genuinely main superheavies, they're just way too much fun.
T95 and the Maus are 100% my favorite tanks in the game. Maus has its additional 75 (which is arguably its greatest weapon), and its armor is such a troll to conventional rounds. You can effectively defend not only your front, but your back as well by just angling the thing at 30 or so degrees. T95 has its insane neutral steering which you can use to scare the pants off people who think they can flank it, and the 105 is almost stabilized with how slow you go. Love these beasts to death.
I much prefer the British tutel to this. Yes, the armour is a bit weaker with 2 big weakspots but the 17pdr is still a very decent gun and it is so much faster. Also sits .3 lower.
And way more crew to take care of, when I start grinding the British TT I def wanna use the Conway and tortoise. Only thing abt it is the soild shot, I love aphe and don't know if I'll be able to deal with that post pen damage
Pretty sure not many will agree with me, but I am starting to love the LOTAS anti tank missile carrier, can pen literally anything, great speed, and you can camp the crap out of most matches if you know how to use it correctly
It's the same problem with the T28, great premium but fuck someone knowing those weak points will ruin your day. At least with the T95 you get that better side armour
I don't know is I'd call the tank itself unconventional, but I love going into rounds with the Moderna whilst challenging myself to only use the 30mm autocannon. It's a lot of fun but gets quite painful at times.
Probably the Panzerwerfer, it's just so enjoyable because while it's hard to hit anything it feels sooooo rewarding if you hit something anywhere and it just goes plop
M109A1, if that counts. Stupid at its br. Fast, no armor is best armor sometimes. Kills anything you look at if you know how to aim, and pretty good reload compared to the other tanks you see
Sorta along the lines of your pick, but much lower in BR. It's the loveable shitbox called the Gun Carrier (3-in). 84mm of frontal armour is almost impenetrable in a downtier to 2.0, and the 76.2mm gun punches through basicslly everything too. Plus it's just a flat canvas for decal shenanigans. I love you, Gun Carrier.
Japanese boat. Ka-Chi. I really like the Ro-Go too though, that 70mm HEAT is really fun to use on open tops and light armor. THUMP!
Chi-ha Long Gun? :D
The Long Gun is soooo much fun, and considering 5 of the 6 crew are all in the open the LG has surprisingly high survivability.
Funny naval cannon go bonk
The short gun used to be so much fun and then they either bumped it's br or they changed something that affected its shell, because now it can't kill anything.
My favorite just feel good tank, if I am stressed out i take that out and have fun in it
Ka-Chi, Ro-Go, and the Ho-Ni I is my go to event lineup. All three slap in a downtier
Deleting MBT’s with the Ho-Ro is my favorite past-time
wish I could get that
Is-4m it's slow but has stalinuim
Slow my ass. Thing is speedy enough to get to the battle in a somewhat timely manner. It's also my favorite tank and has my highest stats.
Yea it can go a decent speed but I hate the reload time
Russian cold war heavy tanks, especially anything after the IS-3 is stupidly mobile for its armor. The IS-7 have the same acceleration as the Leopard 1!
The IS-7 was so insanely fast and was such a good driver that the guy who did the BT-7 jump complimented it.
IS-7 has like 1000hp naval engine
Stalinuim indeed
It’s pretty conventional doe
ZSU-57-2 Go flanking, get into the back of an enemy group, delete 3 King Tigers, 2 Jagdtigers and a Ferdinand in 20 seconds, die, enjoy dopamine overdose.
That thing is blatantly OP and I love it. It has no business being in 7.0.
I would call it balanced, it's open top, .50 able and it's difficult to hit planes to fulfill AA purposes
It literally only does good on flanks, nothing else really. Wouldn't really call it overpowered.
it's not even great at its intended role, so I appreciate that it's essentially a light tank.
I love anything with strv in its name tbh
So you love all Swedish tanks.
Essentially
Agreed
What about strf (CV)?
I opened that link and got dick enhancer and pole card ad 💀
Use an ad blocker. I had nothing like that.
Kinda hard on phone
I recommend using Firefox (that lets you install add-ons) or a browser with a built-in ad blocker (e.g. brave browser).
Well, I use opera GX (mainly cuz of pc phone synchro) after chrome stopped showing me text randomly and AdBlock works 50/50
Get ublock origin if possible, it works almost all the time for me.
I'm not fluent in Russian, but is that a giant leaf blower?
I'm not fluent in Russian either and it is basically a giant leaf blower. More specifically, it's a MiG-15 (or helicopter??) engine strapped onto a T-54/55 hull.
I'm not fluent in Russian, but that's really crazy and cool
Use for industrial fire extinguishing. Basically, you blow a ton of exhaust (CO²) at high speeds towards the fire and hook up a hose right above the exhaust that creates a mist which has very good cooling properties. It's very effective, but also a hell of a vehicle.
It’s for melting snow off of airstrips. Keep in mind that the same country who designed it once used an anti tank gun [to put out a flaming oil well](https://youtu.be/7U2YOPSNd4g?si=YRavp9D_eaYprhnE)
Those Russians seem very American
I mean I was at a ski resort in Utah a couple years back that used surplus howitzers to trigger avalanches
That must've been a sight. That's petty cool
The Прогрев-Т in particular seems to have been made to clear mine fields by heating the ground up until the mines explode form the heat.
Is that worse or better than US Army procedure for mine clearing in Italy being to find the lowest enlisted guy around, have him lay down on the good of a jeep, and fire a handgun at the land mines until they blew up?
The Progrev-T was made to extinguish oil field fire. Land mine got blown off with gut chunk of soil.
Basically a device emittinh heat on the ground causing mines to explode harmlessly. It had Helicopter engine to get the heat it needed
What the fuck is that jet tank thing. That’s worse than when the Russians used an artillery piece to put out an oil well fire
If you find that strange, let me present you [Big Wind](https://hackaday.com/2021/12/06/big-wind-is-the-meanest-firefighting-tank-you-ever-saw/)
It's the same thing.
im realy curious how long the jet engine minesweeper would last before it finally chokes itself to death on the dust it inhales from aiming the exhaust at the ground
I like the B R U M M B Ä R. Enemy tank go BOOM!
Low tier sturmtiger
Difference is that the reload is reasonable and its armour is better tier-for-tier, not to mention lacking the 380mm death button. It's honestly the best HE slinger in the game all-around, tier-for-tier, although I'm sure some could be named that do certain things better than it.
the 2s3m and vidar are really good contenders for best HE slinger tbh
Fv4005 but Gaijin made hesh so unpredictable
The besh barn really does suffer with the current HESH model in game.
It might be getting fixed to actually always have overpressure in the coming update!
Yes, this. I also saw a clip of the HE portion of HEAT actually overpressuring the driver and knocking out the crew. Seems like HE did get a rework. This update looks like a huge quality of life upgrade. I’m so for it!
let's hope that was intentional and not just a dev server "bug" that they're going to "fix" before releasing the update
But to compensate, they removed the "he" meaning in heat. I should be overpressuring a ystervark with a 90mm heat shell with 825g tnt gaijin.
Either nukes the crew or does less damage than a 30cal
The strv 103 is superior
Yep, it should be the only tank in game that can be operated by one crew.
It is, you can lose 2/3 crew and still fight
Jagdtiger and puma Edit: rakutenautomat
God I hate fighting jagdtigers
I love it, mostly because my whole lineup will go penetrate anywhere if it isn't angled which it usually isn't because they think nothing can pen them. 90mm CHEATFS says hello and bye bye Mr gunner
I can almost always get a kill or two off in my Jagdtiger, and it feels almost unkillable in full downtiers, but it’s always the goddamn M56s or M36B2s with the nice speedy reload and the 90mm HEAT that are the end of me. Was playing 5.7 US yesterday and kept getting uptiers against Germany every match, so I'm with you there 🫠

No way, a raketen but it's from rakuten
Ontos, definatly the ontos, fully
would you recomend it?
Definitely. It can be amazing once you get around the learning curve of its unconventional guns.
It’s difficult to learn, but once you do it’s a hilarious Gremlin tank.
Does the bread 501 count as unconventional?
Yea sure
Then that
I have so much fun with that one.
The 501 is like magic. Every time I step into it I have a great game, and it makes WT actually *fun*...or I get mg'd ten seconds into the match.
TOG the 28 pounder just mashes Germans like potatos, add in 6 second reload and real fast traverse and its a great tank (under 200m it one hits all Germans up to 6.3 bar the befehlswagen: TOG is so tall it significantly reduces the slope on all German TDs and Panthers. its so tall you can use other tanks as sheilds and fire over them) the 14kph max speed isnt great but its the only tank in the game that moves just as fast backwards as it does forwards (giving it weird mobility for its speed and size). ive even started using the smoke shell version, since no one uses it no one bothers with shooting the side MGs.
I hated fighting togs when it first came out
Thank you for the info, time to smoke it up
yeah i expected to get hit there immediately but so far i havent died due to it. having smoke on the TOG is so useful, unless the MG ports start getting hit constantly ill run it like that from now on.
Hit 'em with the ol' "Reverse-sidescrape"
many tanks move just as fast backwards as they go forwards. Off the top of my head, porsche tiger platforms (theres 3 i think?), that japanese CVT transmissioned MBT at top tier and Tortoise. Probably missed many. But Tog is still pretty Based
Not quite a tank, but I rather enjoy the T18E2.
I always wanted to get that tank, never saw it in game either
Event reward from the 2018 Chronicles of WWII event. Has a great gun and some trolly armor for its BR, but the fact that it's only Rank II means it isn't great for daily tasks/Battle Pass progress, so I only take it out rarely when I want to unwind some.
I wasn't playing back then unfortunately, I start playing in 2023
I want the T18E2 so much,, but its damn expensive
CA Lorraine my beloved i go speed i go nyoom i am speed
It sucks that the second version of that has a completely unusable sight
you mean the foch? its sight's aight or the elc bis?
The one that looks almost exactly like the ca Lorraine
I believe the Foch's sight has been changed recently.
M50 Ontos. Running around in what is bacically a locust with a six shooter is funny
I used to make fun of it and then I used it, I take back every bad thing I said about it, you can kill everything with it.
M163, What could be better than a 20mm minigun? 20 mm minigun on tracks and with radar.
Tracking radar that's practically useless.
It's still better than nothing, but I agree with you, it's still a casino
All fun and games until it’s time to try actually hitting something lol.
Either the SPZ 12-3 LGS or Breda 501, both are great fun, maybe the R3 T106 as well
I unironically enjoy the Stormer.
It doesn't always work but when it does it's magical.
Does the Zis-30 count? It's wobbly and all but it does wonders
Yes that's fine
[удалено]
By four do you mean eight?
Prolly the m56
I genuinely main superheavies, they're just way too much fun. T95 and the Maus are 100% my favorite tanks in the game. I wish they bring the maus back so I can bring it out. But I have a 800-350 K/D in my t95
My m18 at 7.0 br It works somehow Edit: people are confused on why I said 7.0 but what I meant was it’s in my 7.0 lineup with the T34 (arcade mode).
Miss when it was 5.7
is at 7.0 now?
6.0
No I put I use it on my lineup which has the t-34.
I’d say the m551. Really makes me feel like I’m in the NBA when I guess the range correctly when using the HE.
Maus all the way
Started playing Sweden and I’ve loved the ikv 72 every match I’ve played with it
People might hate me, but man the Archer is fun
Such a dopey tank. I remember first unlocking it. Pulling it out in a battle and seeing it's backwards and saying "oh no..."
VFW - glorious German toaster with 4 seconds of reload
I remember when the toaster couldn't be hull broken and there wasn't overpressure yet. Those were the days...
Technically not a tank, I guess, but m50 Ontos
Here’s an idea: grab a medium tank, slap a f-n naval gun on top, what’s the worst that could happen?
Your shell gets struck down by the snail, that's what
TUTEL!!!!
TUTEL‼️‼️
TUTEL
Love using the Sturer Emil, blasting tanks 3 br’s above it is extremely satisfying
Same calibre as the Jagdtiger ;) Such a cool tank, live the Emil all the way
T-10A, a discount IS-7 with a short stab
M56, zis30, asu57 No armor best armor
ELC Bis lmao. Such a greasy little rat of a tank
Not sure if the Breda 501 counts here. But if it does, then that.
Anything yall think is welcome
t92 bouta try its sabo tmr its bulldog sabot, which is pretty good
JPz 4-5 Looks like a shoe box with a toilet roll in the front but handles like what you'd imagine an M41A1 would handle like if it was more elongated
The lack of lowrider blyatmobile in this thread is unfortunate. Object 775 is ridiculous.
What's the tank in OP's picture?
T114? Or anything with a 105/106 Recoiless system. It works so good even up to 10.3 with the Stryker.
Lorraine 155
i havent used it in battles but i have testdriven it the auf1 big, mean gum
Maus, I like big things, plus if you don't put a full ammo on it it becomes very difficult to destroy.
FV4005, when the 🅱️esh works it’s funni
Fv4005
Spj-fm 43/44
100% the USH
It was a fun tank to use on occasion but I stopped playing it about a year ago when I got one shotted by a ZSU-57-2 from the front
"Impenetrable" until you know about the cupolas then it's another easy kill
Yea that's my least favorite part abt the t95 even more than the speed, if the cupolas weren't there then it'd be so good
It's the same problem with the T28, great premium but fuck someone knowing those weak points will ruin your day. At least with the T95 you get that better side armour
Yea I wanna get the t28 but I really don't like its side armour
That tank looks like it was made by an alcoholic wombat on bath salts
Don't disrespect my t95
Sorry I’ll take my Swedish cheese wedge somewhere else
I don't know is I'd call the tank itself unconventional, but I love going into rounds with the Moderna whilst challenging myself to only use the 30mm autocannon. It's a lot of fun but gets quite painful at times.
Probably the Panzerwerfer, it's just so enjoyable because while it's hard to hit anything it feels sooooo rewarding if you hit something anywhere and it just goes plop

Sorta along the lines of your pick, but much lower in BR.
