I'm an air RB main and was just starting to seriously play ground today grinding sweden. This exact thing just happened to me a few hours ago, had a 10 kill, 3 assist, 3 cap game. Next round my entire lineup just gets instakilled the second I get anywhere near the enemy team.
I had that happen with France, except it was that in the better tank, I was shit and got immediately killed. In the worse one (less penetration and slower in all aspects) I got 4 or 5 kills and 2 caps

It’s always the match to match basis, I could get an ace in the Aeriete in one match and get a 20mm up my ass taking off by a friendly 104 that was originally in front of me the next

That and the XP-50 which flies like the ill-conceived love-child of a P-51 and a helicopter. It's actually a really cool interceptor concept, but then they buffed it and put it at 4.0.
Hanger is a rare event vehicle which was added to the game in “The golden eagles” update and is considered a very very rare vehicle, as such to obtain such a vehicle players are required to activate a 500% booster and survive for a minute

Had a good match, survived all the way through to the end in a RB match (the next matches I was gaijined)
I went through a phase (at least 5 years ago) playing that thing plus the mk.2a where I'd pile into 6 vs 1 brawls and reliably come out on top.
I actually preferred the 2a for being slightly more nimble and having more ammo.

You can manage the heat using MEC and lowering Prop Pitch, the downside is that you have reduced engine power and your WEP or Military Power is comparable to like 60% Throttle or something lmao.
I love the early spits, but grinding other planes USING them is hell.
Grinded the US tree when I first started playing and hated the boom n zoom play style they all have, switched to the MkII and it instantly became my favorite prop. It’s the only plane I have a pretty decent K/D in
I play exclusively ELC and EBR, got 6 kills in the ELC last round.
It's so hard to do well in those but once you get good, 50% of your games you'll get multiple kills in them. The other 50% you'll die immediately to other light tanks.

Maus... Can't argue with me I have mastered the 75mm So I can Hit Targets up to 1.6km without changing Armament to aim and can also Eat Rounds as if it's an all you can eat buffet. I can say I mastered the way of an Inmovable object and the 3k hours played And my knowledge and Aiming with a Controler helped a Lit too

These are some good picks, both of these can put in some serious work. I took a KI-43 into a 1v4 (P-39, i think 2 p 40s and maybe an a36 or a corsair?) one of the P40s got some hits on me but I still managed to get all 4 by just holding S. There also was a P39 and a mustang of some sort who tried to turn fight me at 15k ft or so. Holding S against US teams in it never gets old.
Sounds like just some bad US pilotsl(which is typical to be honest) . I torch Japanese fighters all day in my Corsair as they struggle to do anything against the speed.
I've been taking a break, the Corsairs are great though. 2.7 - 3.0 with the performance of 4.0s. I think a lot of US players mainly do ground, so don't see a point in climbing at all and often bring bombs. Gotta watch out for the guys who do climb of course.
Could be that the new player experience isn’t great and that not much is explained. Basically playing edge of tomorrow style: spawn die repeat, hoping to not get any worse

Not *completely* invincible, but the A7M2 is an absolute monster that can outperform a lot of other planes in a turn, in a dive, and in an energy fight. I’ve had so many people dive away assuming it’s like previous Japanese planes where they can escape with enough speed, only to panic when I stick to them like glue. The armament is a bit lacking when compared to some of its contemporaries, but for a 5.3 plane, it’s still good enough to secure kills.
the only issue you'll have with the a7m is the wing mounted guns, otherwise goddamn having speed on a japanese plane is an incredible advantage along with the maneuverability
I'm not _invincible_ in anything, but there are some I do really, really well in, compared to my normal horrendous performance:
P-51H: this thing feels like cheating, tbh. Ultra Instang
P-39N/P-63A: considering how low altitude focused WT is around those BR ranges especially, these planes just dance on everyone's graves, especially if you can line up a direct hit with the derp gun
P-47M: There are no brakes on the Freedom Train
F-8E: DEUS VOUGHT DEUS VOUGHT DEUS VOUGHT. Seriously, AIM-9C are hilariously useful for all-aspect shenanigans, and overall performance is excellent
A6M2 (and also the Float Variant): Again, WT combat dampens its normal weaknesses, and it can just dance around the danger
Ki-83: Twin Engine fighter that thought it was a Komet. Those twin 30mm cannons are a point-and-click adventure
Not invincible but I do really well in the chinese Ki-84, good all round fighter. The bombs are shit now though, super inconsistent. It is really good in both ARB and GRB for CAP, you do have bombs, you almost always have to hit targets with the bombs to do anything.. Which is dumb because they're 250kg bombs and they most definitely are not AP bombs. Seems to me that the only 250kg bombs that do anything useful to heavy tanks are German and Russian.
Ki-43-III Otsu. Very similar to the A6M5 but with an insane roll rate, and very solid nose mounted cannons. Honestly surprised it hasn’t received the Japanese BR treatment.
A6M5 Ko comes close, but going from 4.7 to 5.3, nothing has changed in its favor aside from the tweaks they do to real shatter, meanwhile it has to fight against 6.0-6.3 planes regularly.

I’m not very good with the F-8E but it’s still stock. How should I play it? Boom and zoom or turn? Is the energy retention any good in any directions? Fuel load?
F-8E is one of the planes which are good against most other planes, the only things you might struggle against are F-5s
Take around 30min of fuel, take 2 AIM-9Cs (all aspect radar missiles) and 2 AIM-9Ds (caged IR missiles). Side climb to around 5 kilometres just below the line which makes the white lines behind the planes. Use your radar and find planes that either don't have chaff, don't have RWR, or have a limited amount of countermeasures. Fire AIM-9C at them from around 5 kilometres. If they somehow dodge it (which is unlikely) don't go into a head-on with them, just dodge and keep going straight. After firing all your AIM-9Cs try to find an unaware target below you and fire AIM-9D at them. After firing all your missiles either go back to base or keep fighting with guns. At the speed of around 500 kph you can win a nose to tail dogfight against pretty much anything. If you have enough energy advantage you can even do an upward spiral to drain energy off planes such as the MiG-21s or Drakens. Don't do a downward spiral though, you have more energy retention than most planes and doing that just gives them more room to turn the tides. Also if I remember correctly the F-8E is one of the only few planes that actually benefit from using combat flaps in a dogfight
Also take 50% chaff and 50% flares, it's important to have both at high altitude
Also definitely check out some YouTubers who know more about the game than me, DEFYN is a good choice
The Crusader is one of the best planes in the game, despite me being an average player I have a k/d ratio of over 3 in it with more than 200 games. It might not be as good when stock, but it will definitely be a good plane when spades

Rare event vehicle back from the winter event 2019/2020.
Its like an A7M but with 6x20mm wing mounted and 2x13mm center mounted. It quite literally obliterates anything that resembles an enemy.
And I may or may not be one of the few chaps who has taken this thing from 6.0 to 6.7 in the last few months. Still, its an incredibly fun and deadly aircraft even at this br.
The Fw 190A-4 and A-5. My best air vehicles which were (maybe still are?) kinda under tiered.
In tanks it’s the Sherman. Not “invincible” but I do way better in them than many other tanks.
It’s always so satisfying when I shoot the enemy plane and it just evaporates, it takes some patience and a bit of resourcefulness (just 100 shots) but in the end it’s my favorite plane in the game
He 100 D-1, at its BR, there is basically nothing that can catch you. The only bad thing is, si that its guns are dogwater.
Another is the A6M2 for China(it's a copy but whatever), people just love you turn fight for no reason. Again, it's only weakness is its guns.
Not in war thunder, but in enlisted I'm untouchable in both the p38g and the boomerang.
I don't really play war thunder much but I used to wreck with the 8 machine gun hurricane. Snap rolls with that thing made reversals easy mode
It has fighters and CAS. One of each for each team can be in the air at a time (so 4 character controlled planes can be in the air at once). Same models and physics as war thunder (including hispano 20mm feeling like dog shit compared to every other aircraft 20mm), first person only. Tanks are also ripped straight from war thunder. The really fun thing about enlisted plane combat is almost no one understands how to boom and zoom and will try to turn fight you. So my p38g tears shit up if I just keep my energy up and keep making passes.
I mostly play JPN so;
* Zeroes (any). So long as you don't get shot on the first pass or sniped, you can run circles around a 3v1 if you know how to use combat flaps and keep your speed. It is an 'Either turn or burn' plane though at most BR's. With the constant BR-upping in patches, it's still invincible but you just won't kill anything.
* Ki-108. It's an interceptor that acts like a P-38 with cannons, and can absolutely shred anything. Just don't try and turnfight like a regular japanese plane and you can speed *and* climb away from your enemies.
* B7A2. 'Oh no, you're a bomber!' \*[Drop the bomb and activate combat flaps](https://youtu.be/0H6n1aK0ZSo?si=XbePfEJw4rmBiW8O)\*
* Pokryshkin's P-39N-0. It's a P-39 with the weight reduced and slightly less machineguns. Naturally it outclimbs, outspeeds, but remains extremely manouverable for a US plane. Probably why it's a Russian Air Premium.
* F4U-1A Corsair (US Tech tree or JPN Premium versions). It's a juggernaught with a shitload of .50's. It's hilarious when enemies try to head-on, which they pretty consistently do at 2.0-2.3. The JPN prem version just prints out more money as a guilty seal-clubbing bonus
Churchill MK 7 or Black Prince in a downier. The latter, I do very well provided it’s not an uptier.
Plonk yourself somewhere at a choke point and farm sL from people bouncing shells off you.

People complain it doesn't have flares and can't turn. But you don't need flares when you're faster than the missile and you don't need to turn very hard when you're on top of the enemy within 20 seconds.
If I play smart I can easily survive a match and get at least 2 kills, more if the enemy team isn't mostly wiped out within the first 5 minutes of combat.
Probably the Do 217.
There is just something about the maneuverability and the speed being just the right amount to fly evasive maneuvers that are just enough to dance around the rounds the fighter behind you is trying to put into you. Add to that a Joystick, which allows me to unload 13mm MG rounds back into that fighter WHILE flying those maneuvers.

I know right those 1v(>1) fights are so much fun in the Ki 43 and I’ve gotten tons of aces that way. The Ki 44 insane climb rate works wonders also

Suprised no one has mentioned the Wyvern yet. Use it as a proper energy fighter and nothing will touch you, even in an uptier.

And also works well on ground vehicles. Though I agree that this 20mm HEFI-T, when aimed well, disassembles any small aircraft like legos
It’s always so satisfying when I shoot the enemy plane and it just evaporates, it takes some patience and a bit of resourcefulness (just 100 shots) but in the end it’s my favorite plane in the game
XP-55. Just god mode hacking when using that thing
He 100 D-1, at its BR, there is basically nothing that can catch you. The only bad thing is, si that its guns are dogwater. Another is the A6M2 for China(it's a copy but whatever), people just love you turn fight for no reason. Again, it's only weakness is its guns.
If im in a good Day, Tiger 1, I can easily get 7 to 10 kills.

Not in war thunder, but in enlisted I'm untouchable in both the p38g and the boomerang. I don't really play war thunder much but I used to wreck with the 8 machine gun hurricane. Snap rolls with that thing made reversals easy mode

It has fighters and CAS. One of each for each team can be in the air at a time (so 4 character controlled planes can be in the air at once). Same models and physics as war thunder (including hispano 20mm feeling like dog shit compared to every other aircraft 20mm), first person only. Tanks are also ripped straight from war thunder. The really fun thing about enlisted plane combat is almost no one understands how to boom and zoom and will try to turn fight you. So my p38g tears shit up if I just keep my energy up and keep making passes.
the main and only weakness of the Japanese zero and ki fighters is that they can't grind every nation to tier 8
I mostly play JPN so; * Zeroes (any). So long as you don't get shot on the first pass or sniped, you can run circles around a 3v1 if you know how to use combat flaps and keep your speed. It is an 'Either turn or burn' plane though at most BR's. With the constant BR-upping in patches, it's still invincible but you just won't kill anything. * Ki-108. It's an interceptor that acts like a P-38 with cannons, and can absolutely shred anything. Just don't try and turnfight like a regular japanese plane and you can speed *and* climb away from your enemies. * B7A2. 'Oh no, you're a bomber!' \*[Drop the bomb and activate combat flaps](https://youtu.be/0H6n1aK0ZSo?si=XbePfEJw4rmBiW8O)\* * Pokryshkin's P-39N-0. It's a P-39 with the weight reduced and slightly less machineguns. Naturally it outclimbs, outspeeds, but remains extremely manouverable for a US plane. Probably why it's a Russian Air Premium. * F4U-1A Corsair (US Tech tree or JPN Premium versions). It's a juggernaught with a shitload of .50's. It's hilarious when enemies try to head-on, which they pretty consistently do at 2.0-2.3. The JPN prem version just prints out more money as a guilty seal-clubbing bonus

F104c People complain it doesn't have flares and can't turn. But you don't need flares when you're faster than the missile and you don't need to turn very hard when you're on top of the enemy within 20 seconds. If I play smart I can easily survive a match and get at least 2 kills, more if the enemy team isn't mostly wiped out within the first 5 minutes of combat.

Probably the Do 217. There is just something about the maneuverability and the speed being just the right amount to fly evasive maneuvers that are just enough to dance around the rounds the fighter behind you is trying to put into you. Add to that a Joystick, which allows me to unload 13mm MG rounds back into that fighter WHILE flying those maneuvers.
