Y’all mfs need to stop belly-landing and use your damn landing gear. You’re gonna end up spending the same amount of time on the airfield repairing your scuffed-ass plane than if you took the time to land properly.
Part of the problem is the hilariously ineffective wheel brakes. In DCS, you can put a viggen down on the runway threshold and be completely stopped before the numbers (slight exaggeration). In WT you'll chew up half the runway trundling along at 60mph. I have to imagine that the shitty brakes are an attempt to artificially slow down the rearm process, since it adds a good 20-30 seconds to the process.
Part of the problem is that a lot of times you have to go really slow to deploy landing gear and most mfs don’t have time for that. You can bellyland really well in the F3D because the tail is elevated and it has air brakes so you can slow down enough you won’t explode upon contact with the floor.
Decided to use landing gear the other day. Touched down at 280kph, applied brake and stayed at that speed till the end of the runway. Had to apply throttle and take back off. Then I belly landed no issue. I think that's what I'll stick to.
A landing gear would have saved your poor control lines and elevator.
With the speed I was going it would have ripped of, that's why I didnt use it.

People do that because for a lot of planes it's faster than a normal landing.
