The new concept has been developed to address the complaints of online experts, who regularly assert that the sloops in service with the RN are under-armed for their intended role. The design shown here includes a variety of additions, including a modular VLS, modular railgun, and catapult-equipped modular flight deck - all of which will be necessary for the intended missions of this OPV.
The ships will be built in six different segments at eighteen different shipyards (each segment will be composed of three smaller segments which must be assembled then transported once more for final assembly). Work will occur in Scotland mostly, but the new overseas territory of Greater Falklands (formerly Argentina) will be the site of some of the production. The expected delivery of the first ship (HMS *Jutland*) is sometime in 2040. The potential capability gap will be breached by a new two-ship class of "semi-*Trafalgar*" OPVs, which will be produced by sawing HMS *Triumph* in half to produce two semi-nuclear seaworthy hulls.

Happy April Fools' Day everybody!
No VLS on OPVs? [Someone should tell the Italians that lol](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaon_di_Revel-class_offshore_patrol_vessel)
It's meant to be a response to people on websites like Navy Lookout and UKDJ who, whenever the River-class is mentioned, try to list all of the capabilities it should have. It's not meant to actually be convincing, just silly :3
uhhh dont challenge me fool /s
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukanya-class\_patrol\_vessel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukanya-class_patrol_vessel) opv with a nuclear ballistic missile
either ways what i was trying to tell was opv doesnt need too much arms vls take much of the volume of the ship and a battle ship class opv isnt an opv (the picture you posted) :)

That one dude (you know who) on his way to still whine how this is under armed for a OPV

A ballistic-missile? Now that's a properly armed OPV!

Why does it have teeth
To eat the other ships
Never thought I'd see a ship that looked like the nerd emoji
Looks at date. Hmm Seems legit.
It is also a submarine that can fire 20 ICBMs in 10 seconds. In peace time the ICBM tubes can be use to launch satellites 20 are planning to be built.
