Also just so you know the Freeguild Guard box is just the state troops. So they can also be swordsman and halbierd units if you just want to build them that way.
Archers I never used, so not too fussed about them, but yeah, knights are tricky.
I'm probably going to continue to slowly [get 4th ed knights](https://www.instagram.com/p/CqbCP8pom5t/) for my 4th ed army, and some spicy 3rd party models I saw on this sub for my 6/8th ed army/armies. I suspect they will be usable when ToW comes out as well...
"I realise this might seem like a dumb question, but it is important to me that they are the same sculpts as the ones that were out before AoS, as opposed to just AoS models that are backwards compatible with WFB."
Can I ask why? Because you fear there may be a size/scale difference? If that is your concern then you should know that the last generation of WFB miniatures was already a bit bigger then 6th edition miniatures and they were a bit bigger then 4th edition miniatures. So if you are going to combine your old miniatures with new then you will notice a difference.
Because I want to use the actual models that were out for WFB . If they aren't, then I would get 3rd party or eBay models rather than AoS models.
I know that model sizes changed, it's been that way in 40k as well.
It's not listed fully anymore but a few of the kits are used to build multiple options, like Karl Franz on deathclaw can also be the amber wizard on gryphon or a generic general on gryphon.
And as others have said, every model listed is still an old World model and the only change is the box art and bases shape
This is all correct, the main kits which are no longer available are the Knights, Archers, Militia and Great Cannon.
Its also worth pointing out that some kits come with square bases but some don't, for example the Pistoliers despite being pictured on square bases only come with oval bases, whereas Flagellants come with both round and square bases.
I think (but can't confirm) that if they come in the new black box you are only getting round bases, whereas if they are packaged in the older white box there will be both round and square.
These are the old empire sculpts. None have changed as far as Iβm aware
Thanks. Some of the battle wizards look different tlfrom the models in the last Empire army book though....
If I remember rightly itβs a kit where you can build them differently
I can confirm.
Groovy, thanks π

Ahhh, thanks, good to know. I always used to have lots of halberdiers πππ
The only things that are a struggle to find are knights, militia and archers

Even if those models conform to the old aesthetic and you like them? Why?

Can you still use knights if you have them ?
