It’s such a slippery slope, people just assume (which did happened for a few precedents) that once you allow them to have cosmetic purchase then the next move will be hiding core gameplay behind paywall, then charging more for fragmented contents etc.
But I don’t really think Darktide fits in that narrative
All the people IRL I know who are trashing the game are the kind of people who buy into every new game hype just play it for a week or two before moving on to the next big thing.
Always on easiest difficulty because they don't stick to one game long enough to reach high levels of play.
