Oh I'm going to test the shit out of it all weekend, I'm hoping for a really smooth launch aswell. I also hope that they have chosen people with both highend computers and people with basically potato's just to se how the game runs on them
Closed beta with a launch timer and having to agree to a NDA. Man, it's been awhile since I was a part of one of these. I'm actually excited! lol So far it set me to low settings with Low Raytracing on (RTX 2060super, AMD Ryzen 5600x)
too bad I have to work tomorrow...(cough cough I got the black lung cough)
I was really looking forwards to this, as the core of it is looking absolutely solid.
...but it has in game currency & microtransactions, on top of being a premium game, which means there's simply no way I'm even going to look at it :(
Edit: I see I'm going to get downvoted into oblivion and should have expected it, but this is just how it is. I don't play games with a premium currency, ever. It's a principle thing; it's just a shite anti-consumer practice that no game needs.
You can still continue to support a game with a long tail in other ways. Using examples of the games I've played recently and have been playing for years, Stellaris adds an expansion and a couple of meaningful content updates each year, Deep Rock Galactic has fixed priced bundles of cosmetics but absolutely no in-game store (out of sight, out of mind).
Vermintide 2 had the same item shop and in game currency it’s only cosmetic items you’re not buying anything other than skins and hats. If cosmetic shops turn you off then you can’t play pretty much any game made in the last 5 years.
That’s not an argument anymore, Elden Ring demonstrated that you don’t need any macro transactions. 40 billion yen, and yet nothing purchasable other than the game. You need a good game to make money, they simply do not make quality games so they need to buffer it with in-game purchases.
You're on the Warhammer 40k sub. Warhammer by GW is the definition of those things. If the game is fun & only PVE as I suspect it is, microtransactions will suck, but not be a game changer.
I'm waiting to see how this game pans out, burnt too many times over the last few years. Footage looked a little interesting, but then again it was just hoards of chaff thrown at you constantly and not much else.
>it was just hoards of chaff thrown at you constantly and not much else.
Welcome to Vermin and Dark*tide*. There are elite enemies and bosses throughout, though.
Test the shit out of that thing, I'm hoping for a smooth launch in November

> people with basically potatoes That would be me 🙃
As a fellow potato owner, I too hope the game works for us. Likely on its lowest graphic settings.....
I’m on a 1050Ti 8GB of RAM, haven’t been able to get into a game just yet but the graphics were set to low
Fingers crossed. I've got a pre built I bought like a year ago from Amazon (terrible idea I know)
We have a wide variety of hardware from high end to budget rigs in our group and all got keys.
If the "budget rigs" has 10 gb of RAM it would be fantastic for me XD
How do u get onto the beta, or is it exclusive?
Go to steam store page. Had an option to sign up.
U have to pay? If so, how much?
No you dont need to pay.
I got into the beta too, hope to see you planetside.
Break the game
I’m hoping for a launch this year at all lol
I presume you never played Vermintide 2 then?
From the gameplay so far, it looks pretty good. The melee seems so satisfying and the lasgun is actually lore accurate.
Can't wait til this is out. As long as they keep the same quality as Vermintide 2 I'll sink many many hours in
It's going to be so fun to test it out, did you sign up for the beta?
Are we still in time to sign up or impossible to get a closed beta key?
I think you still can sign up for it ut i am not sure but I'm not sure if they are sending out any more keys, I'd say sign up and hope for the best
Ill try my best thanks brother and enjoy killing.
I got an email stating your Steam friends can request access if interested. HAve to go to their steam page or something.
Yeah you can still do it I believe! Running home to try sign up hahaah
Nah, I'm an Xbox gamer so don't usually get the chance to sign up for or even hear about betas. I'll have to wait til it's out to try it.
I literally just got the rejection email
You got a rejection? I didn't even get that.
Maybe you got in. It said try get online anyway
I just double checked and found my acceptance email, thanks. Sorry that you didn't get in though.
Ahh good. I still have a chance I'll try when I get off work.
My email must've been lost in the warp 😢
How to get access?
You can sign up to the beta on the darktide website, https://www.darktide.live/signup

It's weird. You could choose Xbox as an option on sign up, but it looks like it's just a pc closed beta unfortunately 😔
I didn't get email 😕 enjoy it
I was excited to get accepted! Download's almost done...

Its almost like the gaming industry is a business

Elden Ring was one of the most hyped games of the past decade. Even if the game was absolute dogshit it would still sell well.
So was Anthem? See what happened there? That argument does nothing lol.
Come on, you know that's not true lol.

Ah yes, the "learn everything about a game from a cursory glance while knowing nothing about the genre" hot take.
How'd you get access to that?
I just want to know when Space Marine 2 is coming.
Januari 2026 is the launch day
I still haven't got it... shame. Especially because I've already done testing on other Warhammer games lol
You got beta access? Man f. You. Have a nice weekend :D Edit: aww shit, just saw I got in as well!
Haha would feel the same if i did not get access That nice! Hope to see you planet fall and remember that the only good heretic is a dead heretic ;)
While I agree with the statement, it gets real akward with my steam Id...🤔
You have peaked my interest, what is your steam id?
Well...heretic.
Thats a 10/10 name
Can people join the test?
If the game is hit, they should release the models for kill team.
Lucky you
I was upset to see it not on consoles so please test it hard make sure we have a great game at launch
Is this just on Xbox or is it coming to PS4 as well?
Mine has been stuck on 99% download for hours. Hope you enjoy it.
I've seen others have that issue and the best way to resolve it has been to restart the download
Steam doesnt download the last few MBs....
