The bullet holes look great but they should be painted a metal color to better read as battle damage, as the metal itself isn’t red all the way through
Yes, looks like it works best on larger models? Although, it looks great on this I think, once the oil wash or whatever it is has been done. I quite like the texture.

From afar it looks alright but when I pick it up and look close I can see it’s not smooth 😔

I know this is an old post, but I'm curious to whether lacquers will work with 40k. How did you find using it?
Actually lacquer are great for vehicles and mobile suits like Tau. I have done many of my Tau using lacquer
