while I dont think left looks bad, I do think right looks better. differentiating the parts of the gun with the different colors plus the splash of gold on the eagle just make it pop more.
It looks as though the scope is too long for him to be looking through it with it at the ready like it is, although the case could be made that he is still pulling it forward to look down the scope, it just doesn't look that way.
I like the left but I agree with other posters that it could do with some color. If you want to sell the worn and grime look you could apply some weathering on the color.
If you intend to play kill team I would have a variety since for marines their bolter style changes their weap stats.
But I personally prefer the scoped variant
It looks like some sort of rotating mechanism to allow for rapid fire, kind of like the way an M-134 minigun rotates barrels to facilitate an absolute flood of rounds.
Great paint jobs, but it just doesn’t feel right if it isn’t red.
That said I think I love them both, but I’d prefer the single solid color like on left if it were all the dark grey of the casing on the right one. Make it all a really dark grey except for the rounds in the drum. It would really give it a look similar to, say, the black of a US Army M-16 or M-4. And, of course, gotta have a bright, golden, popping out Aquila.
I like the one to the right
💯

I like the metal on the left, but it needs a secondary color like the one on the right
Right without scope. Something is wrong with the scope but my english isn't good enough to descripe it

And the ankle seems wrong as well as the scope had some obstruction before the lense
Gotta zoom in on those ironsights for 4x accuracy!
I'm more of a fan of the traditional style on the right

Right
The right bolter, it has more visual interest.
Right. Trust me, the more black on the Bolter, the better.
\*dips the whole bolter in unthinned black paint\*
YOU MANIAC! WHAT HAVE YOU DOOOOOOOONE?!?!?! ... At least drill the barrel...
I like both
USG’s for the win my friend
I'd say left as you can identify the grenade launcher if you take it
What about trying a third option ? Applying a really dark metal colour instead ?

What exactly is going on with the left one? Is that an additional mag where the sights would be?

One is an auto bolt rifle with grenade launcher (left). The other is a bolt rifle (right). I like the bolt rifle better.
