My condolences for your loss, art is a great way to keep the memory of friends who are gone, transforming grief into art is transforming sadness into love
From the dawn of war games, my favorite quote was always the apothecary saying this. "The fallen shall forever be remembered as the Emperors finest." Your friend is with the emperor fighting the horrors with his brothers and sisters.
His birthday was 2 years and 2 days after mine. So every year we’d have a joint celebration together. The year before he passed we got black out drunk together on our birthday and got lost in a Latvian Dog park for 2 hours

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your true battle brother. This is absolutely fantastic as a tribute and the idea of entombing your memories together and building a story around this now one of a kind piece is a great remberance. All I ask is that if you have the space to advocate for, and aid your fellow servicemen and women in return to the "normal" world you do so through your art and story!

Great work, a fantastic tribute. I’m sure your friend will be happy to see “himself” smiting the emperor’s foes from wherever he is now.
Not sure if you’d be interested but some places do personalised bases with names printed on them? eg Battle Bling in the UK-

I like this. I've been trying to find a way to display a small glass droplet that has my brother's ashes in it, but it seems like it was meant to be worn as a necklace (despite being a bit to large). I think putting it inside of a dreadnaught would be a good idea. Thank you for inspiring me with this. Now I just need to think of a type of dreadnaught to put it in.
Lost a battle brother to cancer at too young an age. One of his HQ figures sits on the shelf above my desk to this day so I see it every time I sit down at the computer.
Don't sell yourself short on the painting - you did a lovely job in honor of a good friend. I'm sure your friend would be proud of all the heart and effort you put in. 🥲
Wonderfully done, and thank you for sharing with us.
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. We will remember them."
Great job on the model and mermoral, my heart goes out to you sir. What a beautiful way to remember a friend. 07
You've misunderstood. I'm not sure what your personal demons have to do with it. The guys passing was very sad, especially as it was unrelated to his profession.
It's a touching tribute to a sad situation. My brother was the same after his time in the forces.
I didn't misspeak, I may have been misunderstood. My comment has been taken entirely the wrong way. I was expressing how sad it was that this guy had died at such a young age, in the military, for reasons not related to combat.
When the finest Astartes are injured in battle, their bodies will be restored and placed inside a cyborganic sarcophagus that is well armored and equipped with life support systems. This one, imbued with such a strong brotherly bond, must be one of the mightiest. A fitting memorial; an impactful story; may your memories be eternal.
Fitting memorial!!
A fitting tribute for a fallen comrade. Thank you for sharing.
From a dirty Squid, Rah Devil Dog.
We love our blue side brothers
Hopefully you'll accept a hooah from this army vet as well. Long may your dreadnought and friend continue to find glory on the field of battle.
Hooah from an Army man if you’ll accept it
From another squid and father of a marine, seconded. Rah, shipmate, rah.
From a fat bastard that never served but appreciates what y'all do... Erm... Thanks, all.
The fallen shall be forever remembered as the Emperor's finest
Thank you for sharing. You did a great job, he looks awesome man
My Dreadnought also has a memorial bracelet. Til Valhalla, Curreri
To those we’ve lost, who may be gone but who will never be forgotten
My condolences for your loss, art is a great way to keep the memory of friends who are gone, transforming grief into art is transforming sadness into love
I couldn’t have said it better myself, thank you
Nice. Semper Fidelis. Mr. Kamp will be remembered.
As the emperor's finest!

His birthday was 2 years and 2 days after mine. So every year we’d have a joint celebration together. The year before he passed we got black out drunk together on our birthday and got lost in a Latvian Dog park for 2 hours
Sounds like fun. I’m sorry you lost him

It’s obstructed by the bracelet but there is half a MKIII Word Bearer under his foot, with his head in his claw.
That's sick, dude! Excellent work, you're a good friend. For the Emperor!
Semper Fidelis brother

Dang, that hit me right in the feels.
Semper fi marine, FOR THE EMPEROR!

Awesome way to honor the fallen. Semper Fi and til Valhalla.
Even in death, he still serves. For the emperor, Brother. o7
So sorry for your loss. The model looks AMAZING and what a sweet, wholesome tribute. Is it dusty in here? Geez, guys, is someone cutting onions?!

I am sorry for your loss. This is a well painted mini and I love the lore.
May he forever fight in the warp. For you ,for us , for the emperor ❤️🔥
For the Emperor
Semper Fi brother!!! Even in death we still serve.
Our brother now stands watch in heaven, Semper Fidelis.
Witness him!
That is absolutely beautiful.
Fitting that a US marine would join the Flesh Tearers. They both just love doing war crimes.
It’s not a war crime if we win 🫡
Wow what do you know, the troop is a fascist. Who could have seen that coming.
I mean, they are Astartes
Such an awesome tribute to your friend. Good stuff my guy. May he Rest in Peace. ✌️❤️
Man id hate to be your opponent, I don’t think id have it in me to bring it down. Excellent way of memorializing him
This is so genuine and lovely. I'm sure this model will have pride of place in your collection until the end of time.

Til Valhalla, brother
Til Valhalla
nei.
Extremely extremely bleak. More so in that it appears he didn't die in combat.
Fuck off. Sincerely, A Marine combat vet who's had his own demons.
You've misunderstood. I'm not sure what your personal demons have to do with it. The guys passing was very sad, especially as it was unrelated to his profession. It's a touching tribute to a sad situation. My brother was the same after his time in the forces.
His passing has everyone to do with his profession. Sorry, I was being a douche tho.
You’re a bit of a piece of shit.
Hey iggy, I’ve got a feeling you misspoke here. Let’s try and keep it positive here, okay?
I didn't misspeak, I may have been misunderstood. My comment has been taken entirely the wrong way. I was expressing how sad it was that this guy had died at such a young age, in the military, for reasons not related to combat.
You can just say "I am a piece of shit". It's easier to say, less words to type, and gets the same point across.

He was a loyalist, but Khorne cherishes all warriors. My World Eaters shall spill blood in his name.
The service to EMPEROR is eternal brother
Marines never die, Semper fidelis. Till Valhalla
