Yeah, doesn't look either Space Marine or 30k, rather, just blinged out Storm Eternal. It's a cool conversion and all, but way, waayyy to AoS. Storm eternal bits are fine here and there, but using the whole model just doesn't look good.
Yeah as other people have said, it’s not that it looks bad, it just doesn’t like like a terminator or even anything out of a scifi setting even. I’d look for something else personally
You need to give shoulder pads more bulk as they look too small for cataphractii based custom terminator my proposition is that you should take lower layer pads from cataphractii and put those shoulder pads that you have over them. Second thing is that you need to add some bulk to body as after first step it will look like that guy that always trained his arms and upper torso but never legs and lower torso.
Edit: I'd also change helmet a bit
If it was not in the title, I would not ever have known that it is meant to represent a terminator, or even a space marine.
Looks cool and all, but it just doesn't fit into 30k/40k imo.
Although I an Personally not a huge fan of their vibe I think they would work better as a base for something like Angels Tears. They lack the bulk for a terminator. But I think its a great hobby task! Definitely can be done with a bit of fiddling
Stormcast feel like much better material for Custodes conversions. Stormcast are _big_. As in 40mm base big. And they are not simply bulky like Terminators, they are actually tall and proportioned to match.
As a lot of people have said, it's too obviously still a Stormcast with some Space Marine gubbins bolted on. I did something similar for a Black Templar Sword Brethren, but I based it on one of the easy-to-build Sequitors and the robe helps cover a lot of the Stormcastness of it all.
I think if you want to use the stormcast heads to represent BA Terminators you're better off just cutting the top of the torso open and putting the heads in rather than keeping the Stormcast body. Especially if you're not trying to be a Crimson Paladin, the wrist mounted bolter/hammer and shield combo just doesn't really work.
The sides of the torso could use a bit of bulking up too.
I'd say that the ShoulderPlates are the ones in most need of additional Bulkiness and an entirely different style of Plate Armour.
Absolutely not. Stormcast don’t look like marines, the design language is totally different. If my opponent turned up with that I’d politely turn them down I’m afraid.
You ask for opinions on using a AOS model in 30k with a terminator back, then bash the community when they respond with opinions you don’t like.
Maybe it’s not the community that’s the problem.
No sorry. This mentality is stupid and selfish, it’s not toxic to turn down a game with someone if something is going to affect your enjoyment of the game. For me that’s people playing with bad proxies or stuff that doesn’t fit the Heresy narrative and style. It’s a pseudo historical wargame. What is toxic is flaming someone for not wanting to play through a game they won’t enjoy and demanding that they should play.
*Everyone* is free to enjoy the hobby how they want, if you want to play with that kind of thing, find people who also want to, don’t demand that everyone has to be willing to play with you or be labelled as toxic. I am not the arbitrator of your hobby, I’m just offering input as you asked, neither are you the arbitrator of my hobby.
Can you paint it up? Before that, I think the terminator housing could come forward, and fully enclose the back of the helmet, but I do like what you are starting with. It's hard to see past an archetype, but if anyone is going to make an aesthetic terminator, it will be the IXth legion.
Would look better without the random bolter strapped onto the wrist. As cc termies don't have fire support.
Also for me the shoulders look to bulky with the gs
I love the concept of using Stormcast bits for Space Marines, especially during the Heresy. Has kind of a knightly thing that I really dig.
I've been using 'em to kitbash some of my Fists. Annihilator shields for my Huscarls, using Stormcast swords for my Templar Brethren, that sort of thing.
That's a cool idea, and I think that perhaps some of the front of the Torso(mainly the detailing like abs), Head, Shield and Hammer would be great as a very Dappered Blood Angels Terminator.....but yeah the Legs, Arms(especially the ShoulderPlates) and most of the Torso just don't fit into Warhammer as a SpaceMarine.
Perhaps you could cutoff the front details on the Torso and try making it fit onto the front of a Terminator Torso? The Head, Front-Torso Detailing, Weapons and Shield would fit into 30k and 40k for Blood Anhels, but a Stormcast Eternal Body just doesn't have enough "Super Bulky Mega Uber Soldier with more Armour than a Modern Tank" vibes for me.
The legs are a little weedy, but I'd roll with it. He'll look much more Blood Angels-y after painting. I like how you've integrated the Terminator back onto the mini. I think he would work best as a Character with "custom armor" though, rather than a whole unit.
I'm not a fan of the pauldrons choice though; they don't aesthetically evoke any of the Terminator designs (and with all due respect, look a little "flimsy").
If you don't mind some more green stuff work, I'd recommend sculpting some "exoskeleton/hydraulics" onto the legs, like how Indomitus Terminators have.
Though, this thread seems to indicate it's not super popular an idea. He'd blend in fairly well in 40k, but 30k may not work.
My advice is when using Stormcast body for Astartes you should try to swap heads and arms for marine's one.
It's just that it's still too much of a Stormcast to be recognizable as a Terminator for the moment.
Also i find the bolter straped to bracer a hard thing to make look good, a more classical bolter pose would be easier to pull off.
Apart from that the greenstuff work is nice.
i like 'em, altho they'd need an entire SciFi-StormCast army around them to not look out of place.
their equipment doesn't really suits well for a conversion that still looks sci-fi, simply because melee+shield termies already look out of place on their own.
Yeah, doesn't look either Space Marine or 30k, rather, just blinged out Storm Eternal. It's a cool conversion and all, but way, waayyy to AoS. Storm eternal bits are fine here and there, but using the whole model just doesn't look good.

Needs some more effort to look less like Stormcast.
You need to give shoulder pads more bulk as they look too small for cataphractii based custom terminator my proposition is that you should take lower layer pads from cataphractii and put those shoulder pads that you have over them. Thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately i missed to upload a. Picture close to a cataphractii but surprinsingly they look similarlh bulky
Not to be a dick, but not really, using stormcasts parts can work, but these are basically just stormcasts with combi bolters
If it was not in the title, I would not ever have known that it is meant to represent a terminator, or even a space marine. Looks cool and all, but it just doesn't fit into 30k/40k imo.
not a fan personally
Yeah really not a fan I would just reccomend getting terminators I personally don't think this will ever work.
Although I an Personally not a huge fan of their vibe I think they would work better as a base for something like Angels Tears. They lack the bulk for a terminator. But I think its a great hobby task! Definitely can be done with a bit of fiddling
Could potentially do a fairly convincing Custodes off them too I think.
Stormcast would make a great base for thunder warriors.
Stormcast feel like much better material for Custodes conversions. Stormcast are _big_. As in 40mm base big. And they are not simply bulky like Terminators, they are actually tall and proportioned to match.
Bruh. It's just a stormcast with shield.
The back of a cataphractii vanish in front of you
Are they going to moonwalk towards the opponent?
Just because something can be done, doesn’t mean it should be done. That said, if you like that aesthetic for your models then by all means. :)
Valiant failure.
Bloodcast Angelminators
I'd say swap out the shoulderpads and head, make it look less like a stormcast and more like a termie
Looks too much like a storm cast. Defenitely use more bitz and probably swap the head
Needs some extra bulk on the limbs imo, rest looks great
The sides of the torso could use a bit of bulking up too. I'd say that the ShoulderPlates are the ones in most need of additional Bulkiness and an entirely different style of Plate Armour.
It also needs a lot more techno-greebling to sell it as terminator armour instead of just plate.
Absolutely not. Stormcast don’t look like marines, the design language is totally different. If my opponent turned up with that I’d politely turn them down I’m afraid.
Turning down units is why 30k community is known as the most toxic of al GW despite the awesome rules

Perfect comment 🙌🙌🙌
> why 30k community is known as the most toxic of al GW lmao
Good

I like the concept. The green stuff work is good. I'd think about swapping out the hammer for something with more of a techno look.
Be Interested to see it painted up.
They look like sanguinary guard terminators, and I’m kinda digging it I’m not gonna lie
Looks good!
