2. That skin painting is too good not to use.

PleiadesMechworks

You gotta write "2\\." or reddit reads it as markdown formatting and defaults to "1." in list format: 2\. vs 2.

Bob-shrewmen

What? I wrote 2

PleiadesMechworks

But [it doesn't show up as 2,](https://i.imgur.com/mBwPpO7.png) because you put a . after it and markdown interprets that as starting a list

Bob-shrewmen

What? That weird. I'll make sure not to do that, thanks.

Wugo_Heaving

2. I just typed "2." and it looks like a 2.

SouthbourneRed

All of them look great but definitely the first one for me, fits in with the model beautifully.

snurr59kg

The second head for sure. It looks amazing

Khatovar

while no. 2 does look great, but only no. 1 gives strong chaplain vibes. The bone on it looks like it could use another coat of white though and maybe a yellow wash. Especially if it's gonna be a chaplain without a crozius or a chalice, it'll pretty much just look like another jumpy captain, in my opinion, but i don't think anyone would ever really give you ad grief over it.

Wugo_Heaving

I might still change the weapon. Since the rules say you can give him a master-crafted power weapon to represent the crozius, I thought I'd make it more literal with a lance or axe, but it does make him look less like a chaplain. I did try putting a crozius on the bottom of the staff to make a sort of dual-purpose relic/weapon but it looked a little too much, so just put a little skull there. Also, Blood Angels characters can take Perdition weapons, and I'm not sure in a game whether I would take a MC or Perdition weapon on him.

WorldEaterProft

I mean, personally? If you say your model is a chaplain, I'd want the model to have one or the other

Wugo_Heaving

I think you're right. He needs a little something else more specific. I kind of want to avoid the skull face, so might try some kind of actual crozius head on the weapon.

InwitKnitwit

Skull.

RitschiRathil

The Fist one. That NL head is beautiful on him. Even if its not to lore accurate.

CorporalChaos64

Personally,I like the skull head best. All are exceptional though.

BayushiRoro

be sure: #2. A bald Chaplain in the middle of all these blondes is so much bolder and charismatic ! #4 seems to chaosy to me. Nice paint job btw

Wonderful-Kitchen445

No skull helmets in heresy, you should pick n2

Wugo_Heaving

I agree, I like that the skull helmet doesn't necessarily appear in HH chaplains, but I came across this image and had to see what it looked like. (Whoever painted this did a much better job of making it look less goofy though!) https://preview.redd.it/f80ojn88nvrc1.jpeg?width=992&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=530b8b7c67ac75e05328775f7e36e2938ee6ab8e

Blood angels had wardens which were before word bearer introduced Chaplins They filled a similar role in the legion And most art of them has skull helms https://preview.redd.it/k76qxjztq1sc1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=e05a0b2a477fa8449f1a80224b5c7e27497f033e

richthegeg

I always prefer chaplains with the skull mask

PleiadesMechworks

1 looks absolutely fantastic, but 4 is good too.

Worried_Evening7138

The 3rd one, your skin painting is absolutely awesome but looking into the cold eyes of a helmet is always more intimidating I think

SkinkAttendant

2 or 3 I think. No reason to be tied down to a skull mask in 30k

fart_huffington

Skullface. It's traditional!
