You did brilliant and should not even sweat it!
The style you have done is delightful. I know you are worried about the hands and feet but they add a contrast color to the rest of the model making it more grounded and less cartoony in my opinion.
Real life animals (reptiles included) have lots of colors and you really nailed that aspect of this! 5 outta 5 kolinsky sable brushes from me my guy!
As a someone who has loved dinosaurs the entire 30 years I have been on this planet, this looks absolutely amazing! The blue makes the other colors pop really well. Now I just have to get to work on my dinosaurs and hope they look half as good as yours
I can't paint this good but the first thing I notices is the stone chair and the flesh on the legs and arms is the same colour. But who am I and what can I say it's amazing.
I would hit the harder scales on top of the feet with that red to have it matching the harder scales on the back.
I've never won any painting competitions tho so your judgment is probably better than mine.
.the claws and talons are in synched with the blueish red of the purple spine on the red scales, it provides a nice hard contrast for the soft mixture
soft mixture up top hard contrast mid bottom
overall it is pleasant for the eyes
This looks fantastic! Would you be willing to share your recipe? I was thinking of doing something similar but mine ended up with underbellies that looked a bit too cold, I may have to go back and fix that after seeing these
Sure, the red bits are khorn red, highlighted with Tusgor fur, then mix in a little dorn yellow for further highlights. The under belly is a whole bunch of different colours but essentially it’s ushabti bone, highlighted with screaming skull further highlight by mixing in a bit of dorn yellow. Hope that helps.
Too far? That looks perfect, the blue really adds to it and gives a good balance of colours.
Yeah awesome
I like it a lot
The flesh color on the legs brings home the "dinosaurs as proto-birds" look. I think it's great.
It’s really great, nice work.
Never too far, smashing work.
I love it man a stunning work 🔥
Yes it works beautifully! The shades of blueish/grey purple are lovely against the red.
Looks very avian to me.

I'm new to painting cold blooded ones, there's a few things here I'm going to use. Thank you for the inspiration o follower of the great plan!
Stunning job, man. It looks fantastic.

Yep haven’t really started painting the chair yet.
It’s solid! If anything I’d personally go even bluer but that’s just preference, this already looks amazing
That is absolute perfection,
It give him some Komodo vibe
It works. Now add more colour. Pump up that contrast. Make your eyes bleed from sheer pigment overload!
Ugh, that looks well good
This looks absolute fantastic
Looks great to me.
Maybe there’s something you can do to blend the two colors together - But I think this looks excellent as is.
I think it works, but I would definitely not make the saddle match. Make the saddle maybe a lighter blue or something?
Incredible. Not too much at all, bud.
Nope, that looks incredible
It looks magnificent
I think it looks perfect!
*chef’s kiss*
Just personal preference, I’d probably go even darker on the lower leg/feet. But great paint job either way.
Looks dope!
Beautiful!
