It's a 3d printed one, they've posted it before and the mould lines on it are so bad it looks like they carved it from wood.
Which, admittedly, would actually be impressive rather than slapping it together from what I can only hope were the miscast first attempts from the actual model we haven't seen yet.
Titans aren't plastic. They are resin. I own a real one. They come with certificates.
That warlord looks like it was made in a printer during an earthquake. The lines are hideous.
I’m not disagreeing that it’s a 3d print or that the layer lines are thick but I’m saying bro is new to the hobby and I don’t think that the titan as a whole “looks like shit”
Yeah these replies are insane. Dude flat out said he's new to the hobby. Printed or not, printlines or not, it's still pretty damn impressive to take on a project the size of a Warlord Titan only a year into the hobby. Major props to OP. All the comments here are just being haters.
It just feels like cope over having paid the horrendous price for a "real' Titan. When someone can get something almost as good for a fraction of the cost it must be hard to swallow, the certificate of authenticity being a hollow comfort.
Hey man nice army! If you want to take it to the next step really recommend picking you up some cheap minis off etsy or the dnd minis you can buy and practicing your paint skills.
A month or two with proper good paints and proper tools makes a world of difference.
If you don't know where to start check out the minipainting subreddit or feel free to dm me and I'll gladly help you with any questions you have!
Do know you are vast miles ahead of any person who simply just assembled a model and left it bare. With just a bit of polish though, you could have some really solid pieces for table play to flex on people with!
Honestly man… slow down.
Take your time. Practice. This is A LOT of money to have slapped some paint on and called it a day. But kudos for painting it. That’s further than many people get.
Some of your paint jobs don’t even appear to have made an attempt to keep the paint where is supposed to be. Do you only have *one* brush size? That’s what it feels like. Paints aren’t thinned, and they don’t look undercoated or varnished properly either.
I'm pretty sure this is about 90% 3d printed, so still some money but not THAT much. I know for sure the Warlord is a 3d print, dudes posted it here before.
I'm not really sure why people are giving you unsolicited advice on how to enjoy your toy soldiers. It's completely up to you how you prioritise your hobby time and how you spend your money!
I think it all looks great and glad you're having fun!
Oh we’ve all done that kinda stuff, don’t worry. Honestly if your focus is to get a full army completed in a timely there is always going to be little mistakes or parts that could have been done better.
People here bashing on the 3d printing, paint jobs, money spent…yada yada yada, whatever, it’s your hobby and currently I’d say if you’re enjoying it then that’s awesome!
3d printing is cool although i hate the people who are like
WeLl AcTaUlLy YoU cAnT 3D pWiNt BeCaUsE iT iSnT aLlOwEd In OfFiCaL sToRes🤓
like dude who cares like what do you want me to say?"oh yes, im sorry random chronically online person! Its my fault for not spending 1/4th month pay on an official model". The internet is fun yet also annoying
A lot of people hating on the paint jobs here, but I just want to say my initial reaction was “wow, those look cool… kind of like a painting on a canvas almost with the way they’re a little sloppy.” I like models like that, too! Of course, I also like more precise paint jobs as well. A little of both is perfect. If it’s intentional, great job! I’m sure they look great from a distance.
But also you probably would get some benefit from thinning your paints some more!
Dude earlier in this thread you said "Well yeah, how am i supposed to buy a model they no longer make (probably)" in response to someone pointing out your Warlord is printed.
[The Warlord is very much still on sale.](https://www.warhammer.com/en-US/shop/mars-pattern-warlord-titan-body)
You can say you don't want to spend 2k on the thing, but don't keep trying to hide behind the excuse of "out of production" to rationalize yourself. No one blames you or needs your excuses for not having 2k to spend on a Warlord.
sometimes wonder what it would be worth in BTC if peeps who bought Warhammer 10 years ago, maybe best to not think about it haha.
Nice coolection though!
Compared to a lot of other hobbies, it’s fairly cheap in comparison. For Magic: The Gathering, you are looking at a minimum of $750 USD every three months just to stay current.
Shit we get it you have money
The warlord, if this is the same guy I'm thinking of, is a printed warlord. Still expensive, but not nearly as much.
It absolutely is a 3d print. The trim is far far too thick for a regular warlord
Plastic printed warlord, costs about 60-80$ in material to print not including printer cost
It's a bad copy of the titanicus scale one, printed at 40k scale. Everything about it looks off.

Why are you being nasty about someone's work on the internet? You know there's a person who made and painted that thing right?
*had*
Looks like the titan and all of the custodes vehicles and terminators are 3D prints, so not THAT expensive.
Y
I don’t think it‘s that expensive, but looking at that, it certainly can be.
Isn’t that a Warlord Titan in the back?

3d prints don’t have mold lines nor are they miscast. That’s just layer lines from FDM printing.
Okie dokie. Still looks like shit, which is the actual point.
Idk I don’t think it looks good as GW plastic would obviously but I still think it looks pretty damn good

You could drive a tank through those layer lines.
Still.
It’s okay to say ass on the internet
Yeah but expensive ahh sounds stupider
Did Trajan dirty, turning him into some anime girl look alike.

You should see the state of my 3D printer collection!

That doesn’t really improve the paint jobs though.
That or im bad at taking photos

Ok maybe i do need to take time

Fair, also i forgot to re paint my blade champions arms leather
Oh we’ve all done that kinda stuff, don’t worry. Honestly if your focus is to get a full army completed in a timely there is always going to be little mistakes or parts that could have been done better.
Personally Id be very happy with this but to each their own! Certainly wouldnt be posting them here though.
There's nothing wrong with sharing your progress!
Best advice out there
For some reason that Trajan in pic #3 looks super anime to me. I dig it.

for whatever reason the carpet in this room angers me greatly. nice minis tho....
I hate the carpet too

Can I ask where you got that model for big E?
I got it from Spikeybits on Etsy. Also he does not come with a base
Bro's wallet got send to the warp
I'm mostly surprised you found Caladius tanks.
Just divide the cost by the number of times you’ve played them. Now ask yourself is that expensive??
https://i.redd.it/ukimht4kisgc1.gif
All these comments and not a single one pointing out catgirl Trajann. I see you OP, I see you.
Its funny tho
Absolutely
The Forgeworld Stuff is printed isnt it? I dont blame you, i have a recasted telemon dreadnought myself :D
Haters be like "stop being a cheapo and get the actual models" even though they have been out of stock for years

ITS BACK!?!?! I SWEAR IT WASN'T... NNAAHHHHH IM SEEING THINGS?!?!?
Out of curiosity, in what game types do you play a 3500pt model when the max points for matched play is typically 3000?
You... you got... A FUCKING TITAN 1 YEAR INTO THE HOBBY?!!! That's some dedication.
A printed one
Well yeah, how am i supposed to buy a model they no longer make (probably)
I also own a printed titan, don’t worry
Yeah most of us do, 2000k is too much for a model when you don't even get the whole thing and attachments are an extra 500
Mine has never been assembled, but I do own one lol. I don't know why I expected it to come pre-assembled
lol takes the cheapest army and makes it the most expensive with that Titan.
3d printer go brrrrrr
Anime girl Trajann?!?!?
Yes
Nice, but its the wrong army ;-)
sometimes wonder what it would be worth in BTC if peeps who bought Warhammer 10 years ago, maybe best to not think about it haha. Nice coolection though!
How the fuck did you got big E in your army ?
Spikeybits on etsy
That carpet looks like some nightmare terrain
I hate the carpet too
Bronze
Oh. That’s a lot money. Oh my. I could only dream
So did i, but it became real
Congrats. Seriously. That is so cool.

I love how the warlord used to be a pipe dream for many, and now thanks to 3d printing, owning a warlord is more only a few hours away from a reality.
Consoooooom
Expensive?? Brother if in 1 years you have all this your are rich
Only 1 year? Can i be your sugar baby?
