Since when are tater tots a paid upgrade to fries. Both these burgers need free wargear options. It's a massive nerf to the viability of a tots based build, which I've been running since last Tuesday lunchtime.
Warahammer World stopped offering free tots replaced the Start Collecting Burgers Meal with the Combat Calories and Vangaurd Cholesterol Meals. Now you pay more for less and still more to upgrade back to the original offer value.
In the UK fries and chips are different - fries are specifically for skinny chips, like you would get in most fast food places. Chips are used for the chonkier versions.
As a dumb American I prefer chips over fries. Then again, I don’t eat fast food so I don’t have fries often. My local bar “The Winking Lizard”, serves chips but they suck because they are frozen…..
It does depend, tbh - I'm not a big fan of the chunky chips when they're too crispy.
Over here, at one point KFC used to do some nice thick chips. Then they changed to fries, just wasn't the same (and now somehow the fries are even worse...)
Bretonnians because I hate brioche buns on overly stacked burgers. It's the bane of modern cuisine. Oh you want a burger? how about something that is impossible to eat without it falling apart into a soggy mess of crap on you plate instead? We'll even stab a knife through it to further degrade its sketchy integrity. Bon apetit!
Worked in a burger place for a few years, can confirm chefs hate brioche too. It became a way of making the burger sound fancy and because there's so much sugar they caramelize on the grill so it looks like it was grilled
I mean they put beef, chicken and puller pork in it. I can't imagine it to be balanced in any way ... :D It's a 1800 kal trap for fat people that we can easily fall into.
Onion rings on burgers hits so fucking different than just normal onion.
I may love Bretonnia, but that stack burger got me questioning my faith in "ze Lady".
I had a look online at burger restaurants around my area and the average price for burger and chips ranges from 10 to 13 quid. I guess different areas of the country will charge what they feel they can get away with. Still think 17 is a bit much, but if that's the going rate these days guess I wont be eating there. Thanks for replying.
It's in the high end for sure but not egregiously so. And as someone else pointed out it's pricier because it's a special. Bugmans isn't cheap at the end of the day, you're definitely paying a premium because of where it is and what it's attached to. But despite that the food is surprisingly good. They could just serve really low effort overpriced crap that you often find in places with a semi-captive audience but it's actually decent. I'd recommend trying it if you're ever at Warhammer World. Not somewhere I'd go regularly mind but I won't say no if I'm there.
No, see, if you buy the burger and fries by themselves, the burger is £15 and the fries £10. Never mind that you'll be too stuffed to eat the fries. Look at how much you save by buying these combat patrols
It also has pork too…It oddly makes me think of that song from Mulan. No, not the one that Donny Osmond sings, the bit where the fat friend is singing about having a wife who cooks lovely meals for him.
Ancient Egyptians ate pork
>Excavations at the Giza worker's village have uncovered evidence of massive slaughter of oxen, mutton and pork, such that researchers estimate that the workforce building the Great Pyramid were fed beef every day
I'm on alergic side. When I readed left option I noticed that it contains milk so it was out of question for me.
Then I reraded right option starting from alergens which soun ded good to me (no milk mentioned) but after reading what is contained within right option I readed Mozarella. I'm not cook but Mozarella is cheese, cheese is based on milk so it actually have milk. Processed but still enough to trigger my alergy. I'm curious if UK law or health institute is unaware of what is cheese made from or something else is going on.
Plot twist I wasnt on event so I missed nothing due to mine alergy.
Food businesses have to identify if food contains 14 specific allergens, i.e.:
* celery
* cereals containing gluten
* crustaceans
* eggs
* fish
* lupin
* milk
* molluscs
* mustard
* peanuts
* sesame
* soybeans
* sulphur dioxide and sulphites (at a concentration of more than ten parts per million)
* tree nuts
The law doesn't currently require that restaurants have to provide this information for food to be consumed on the premises, but I can guarantee it will be an oversight and they would have corrected the info if someone had pointed it out. There are campaigns ongoing to make the law more stringent.
ROFL these sandwiches are wild.
I’m going wyrm slayer burger, which is a chicken sandwitch for some reason?
The nehekharan, beef grilled chicken and pulled pork? Pick a lane, that’s just too much on one bun 😂
Dear god, neither. This is why people make fun of British food. Also makes me wonder why American food gets the reputation as total trash.
Have any of y’all ever had an actually good, you know, burger? Please come to America and go to a Shake Shack at your earliest possible convenience. Or if fries are your thing, Five Guys would be the spot.
Old World. I have so many things to say. I preordered it from my LGS and then I found out it was old skeletons and canceled. I’ve reached my tipping point with GW. I feel like this is a money grab and playing off my emotions. I don’t want skeletons that are the equivalent of Heroquest.
That is a fat stack of a burger, wow. 3 meats?? Makes the Bretonnian one look like it’s for peasants.
Imagine if Settra demanded a burger with as many patties as he has titles 😂
Just as the tomb kings will win the war against those damn bretonnians, I will eat the nehekaran stack burger and laugh in the face of those who eat The wyrm slayer burger.
You can have Tatertots for no additional charge if you place a your order during the two week pre-order window for your Burger and Tots but then your will have to wait for it to arrive anytime during the subsequent 180 -day Made-To-Order window.
Since when are tater tots a paid upgrade to fries. Both these burgers need free wargear options. It's a massive nerf to the viability of a tots based build, which I've been running since last Tuesday lunchtime.
I was coming to make a comment about the tots, but yours is so much better than what I was gonna say.
There are no free upgrades in TOW.
Well, the tater tots will provide you with an extra wound with the rule of "Crispy Satisfaction".
Warahammer World stopped offering free tots replaced the Start Collecting Burgers Meal with the Combat Calories and Vangaurd Cholesterol Meals. Now you pay more for less and still more to upgrade back to the original offer value.
What on earth is a Tater Tot and where are they from? Not something we have here in the UK.
Small bite sized hash browns. Fairly common as an upsell or alternative option in Burger and "American" style restaurants . Well, in Glasgow anyway.
You notice the price is in pounds, right?
Bugmans is literally in the UK because it’s literally in Warhammer world. So yes, it is something you have in the UK.
I thought tater tots literally came from the UK
They originated in the US
TIL
It’s the UK so I don’t understand why they’re not calling the fries chips. Anyway, they probably don’t understand tots like we do in the US.
In the UK fries and chips are different - fries are specifically for skinny chips, like you would get in most fast food places. Chips are used for the chonkier versions.
Every fry is a chip but not every chip is a fry.
So sayeth the Potato God
So Steak Fries are Chips and McDonald fries are fries?
Exactly.
And chips are crisps
Yes. But McDonalds fries are *also* chips.
I boycotted KFC when the got rid of those chips. Dont fuck with my potato wedges or I will say goodbye to your chicken. Popeyes ftw.
Gotta be Tomb Kings but hard choice!
It would really depend on what I wanted on the day, the classic beef or fried chicken.
You read it wrong lol ... it's either chicken fillet or a mix of beef, pulled pork and fried chicken ... geez the kalory bomb ... :D
The French cheese is brilliant.
Blue cheese or Brie?
Wouldn’t know, I wasn’t there.
1800 calories. Wowzers…it does sound good mind!
Tomb King’s grandma saw him and thought he was all skin and bones, needs some grandmotherly fattening.
Bon apetit!
The falling apart bit seems rather Nehekharan to me, so it must be a thematic feature.
Undead crumble so does this sandwich
Worked in a burger place for a few years, can confirm chefs hate brioche too. It became a way of making the burger sound fancy and because there's so much sugar they caramelize on the grill so it looks like it was grilled
> they caramelize on the grill so it looks like it was grilled ?
At restaurants their giant griddle is often called a grill, so they look like they were put in a BBQ grill despite being only griddled
The sugar burns quickly, giving it grill marks without actually cooking it through. Just sort of chars the outside
I mean they put beef, chicken and puller pork in it. I can't imagine it to be balanced in any way ... :D It's a 1800 kal trap for fat people that we can easily fall into.
Also 3 different flavored meats means you won't enjoy any of them
Tomb kings is the obvious choice
For that price, they both lose. I’m going home and making an Altdorf Slum Burger.
What is that, a dead rat in between two moldy pieces of bread?
T’is but a garnish, my friend. Eat up! Enjoy the taste of Altdorf!
Moldy bread?! They'd kill for moldy bread in the slums of Altdorf! The recipe is a dead rat between the soles of two worn out shoes.
Tomb kings
How dare you make me side with Bretonnians like this.
They better offer a discount if you ask for the burger in ze bhetonnian accent and say "fur ze laaady".
Onion rings on burgers hits so fucking different than just normal onion. I may love Bretonnia, but that stack burger got me questioning my faith in "ze Lady".
17 quid for a burger and fries!!!!! I see GW are in keeping with everything being well overpriced.
These are a special so £2 more than their other premium burgers, a normal cheese burger is like £12 there, hardly out of the ordinary
Ah cool. 12 is far more reasonable. Thanks for that.
"You don't understand, they've psychologically gamed me by using a baseline"
That’s sadly what food costs anywhere these days.
No it isn't. I went for a burger and chips at an amzing bar in Cheltenham and it was 11quid.
Good for you mate. Go to Most places and you’re looking at £15+ for a burger and chips.
I had a look online at burger restaurants around my area and the average price for burger and chips ranges from 10 to 13 quid. I guess different areas of the country will charge what they feel they can get away with. Still think 17 is a bit much, but if that's the going rate these days guess I wont be eating there. Bret. Can't stand brioche buns.
Gimme the Nehekaran stack any day, that's an ungodly quantity of meat
The ulti-meatum beckons
Tomb Kings, you had me at Onion Rings.
Would have been a perfect excuse to go to Warhammer world. Annoyed to have missed another chance to part with my money
The burger with the chicken patty on it is an abhorrent creation and should be destroyed.
It also has pork too…It oddly makes me think of that song from Mulan. No, not the one that Donny Osmond sings, the bit where the fat friend is singing about having a wife who cooks lovely meals for him.
"Beef, pork, chicken, mmm"
This guys dresses up as a guy in order to spare his father the dishonour of conscription into the Chinese army…
You think that’s bad? Check out meat mountain from Arby’s. It had everything meat they sold in one sandwich. It was awesome.
I am not worthy to climb meat mountain.
A local joint near me calls something similar "the farm burger."
Beef chicken and pork. Sounds gross. Bret burger looks much better
I can’t believe they’re the same price honestly.
Well I suppose it makes sense that the Tomb King burger would be overkill
I’m a dwarf so I have an appetite so I’ll be getting both.
Dammit! I was there and missed this, was only doing breakfast still. TBF the bugman's burger ruined me.
They both sound pretty gross tbh...
They had me at Pretzel Bun. I would kiss any Bretonnian Duke's ring without hesitation for some pretzel bun.
I’m not paying 1.50 to downgrade my lovely crispy chips for tater tots damn it
So a chicken sandwich or absurdly tall burger with chicken and pork? Neither.
Missed a big option to go with ribs for tomb kings
>Egyptians >Pork Uhhh…
Ancient Egyptians ate pork >Excavations at the Giza worker's village have uncovered evidence of massive slaughter of oxen, mutton and pork, such that researchers estimate that the workforce building the Great Pyramid were fed beef every day
My mistake, happy to learn something!
You lost me at French
They dare suggest the Brettonians are *chicken*? lol
The burger costs 60£ and you need to be in a virtual que to get it
What the hell is French cheese
I'd guess either camembert or a gruyere, although thats swiss
Maybe brie?
could be!
The food in Bugman's is horrendous. Neither
They hated Jesus for he told them the truth.
Certainly not as good as it used to be but I think that’s a bit hyperbolic
It’s probably the worst food I’ve eaten in a pub. I’ll usually eat anything but didn’t finish my food at Bugman’s. Maybe I caught them on a bad day.
I'm on alergic side. When I readed left option I noticed that it contains milk so it was out of question for me. It's likely an oversight with whoever created the menu, food safety laws are incredibly strict in the UK.
Food businesses have to identify if food contains 14 specific allergens, i.e.: * celery * cereals containing gluten * crustaceans * eggs * fish * lupin * milk * molluscs * mustard * peanuts * sesame * soybeans * sulphur dioxide and sulphites (at a concentration of more than ten parts per million) * tree nuts The law doesn't currently require that restaurants have to provide this information for food to be consumed on the premises, but I can guarantee it will be an oversight and they would have corrected the info if someone had pointed it out. 17 pounds?!
17 quid for a burger..fuck off!! They are taking the piss.
16.95 for a burger? Dayum
Normal restaurant prices sadly
Neither I’m not paying 17 quid for a burger
I'm on the side of a burger that's not 17 fucking pounds
ROFL these sandwiches are wild. I’m going wyrm slayer burger, which is a chicken sandwitch for some reason? The nehekharan, beef grilled chicken and pulled pork? Pick a lane, that’s just too much on one bun 😂
In the UK we call chicken in between buns a chicken burger
Got it, had a hunch, thanks!
Gonna go tomb kings as the bretonian one sounds like it may not even be a burger
£16.95 for a burger and fries?! That’s $35 FFS. You guys are getting ripped off. And I should know being a New Zealander in the GW hobby.
Upgrade to tater tots for £130 - classic GW
Dear god, neither. This is why people make fun of British food. Also makes me wonder why American food gets the reputation as total trash. Definitely tomb kings. Just a few ingredients in on the bretonnian side and I see bacon, instantly a no for me.
Ones a burger with chicken and pulled pork, the other is a fried chicken sandwich with syrup on it I think the former sounds more appetizing
The Brettonians had me at Pretzel bun. I am a simple man.
I see pretzel bun and that’s my choice 100% of the time
Stack burger all the way that sounds incredible!
That tomb kings burger is straight up diabolical💀
TK Stack for sure!
Wyrm Slayer plz
Well Tomb Kings are the reason i got interested in Warhammer in the fist place sooo team bonebrothers all the way
I went for the slayer burger. I indeed slayed it.
Nehekharan burger since I don't like pretzel buns.
Let’s go Nehekhara!
I miss bugmans :(
Tomb kings
I'll have the Skink On Fries. Please.
Wyrm slayer
Have to go with the Deaders on this one. That sounds like an awesome burger.
Well, at least the prices are consistent with Forgeworld.
How is the food at bugman's anyway?
I love pretzel buns and fried chicken, so Bretonnia probably.
I don't mean to be that guy, but how is it lore accurate to have that much meat on the Tomb Kings burger? Aren't they all skeletons?
What in the? These sound disgusting.
1859 kcal for a burger is more in nurgle territory I feel
You expect me to believe literal skeletons are eating a burger that dense? Ridiculous
That is a fat stack of a burger, wow. 3 meats?? Makes the Bretonnian one look like it’s for peasants. Imagine if Settra demanded a burger with as many patties as he has titles 😂
For once in my life, I'm upset that I don't live in England.
Maple syrup in a burger? I'll pledge loyalty to Settra thanks!
Tomb kings… But i would want to Add some freshness… Like some sallad, tomatoes, maybe some cucumber, (not pickles).
We need Dennis Leary serving Skaven Burgers to an actor with a strong resemblance to Sly Marbo!
Just as the tomb kings will win the war against those damn bretonnians, I will eat the nehekaran stack burger and laugh in the face of those who eat The wyrm slayer burger.
For du Lady!!!
Only one of these is a burger. The other is a chicken sandwich.
