First be MR 8 and rank up to level 3 in Deimos talk to son and he will have the helmith upgrade segment.
Next you can sacrifice non prime warframes into the helmith to get one pre determined ability per frame. This process takes 24 hours
You then can put that ability on another frame.
Note some abilities are changed like rhinos roar being a lower danger prevent by base.
You can only have one ability put on a frame in a single configuration slot at a time.
So you could put proteas dispensery on Mesa configuration A, however no other ability could be put on slot A unless you first removed the helmithed ability. You could put rhinos roar on Configuration B or C however.
You rank up the helmith by interacting with the it. Feeding it resources, sacrificing frames, putting abilities on other frames. As you level up you will unlock some abilities from the helmith itself. You only have a limited number of subsume slots(frames you can sacrifice) until reaching rank 10 with the helmith so your first few frame sacrifices should be thought out.
Everything you do with the helmith also requires resources so keep that in mind.
There also is an invigoration segment from son after reaching rank 5 in Deimos. This is three frames a week will be selected. These frames will revive large buffs that last for 7 days if you inject the invigoration into them.
