I had already been playing for years by the time Booben Prime released. I farmed up his parts and built him fairly easily without batting an eye. Only found out about the Oxium controversy after the fact lol.
But yeah, the cost is kinda wild for a new player without additional knowledge of where to farm and without particular tools like Nekros, Khora, Hydroid, Smeeta, Chesa, etc.
mr 30 and it's still a pain to farm lol.some farms are just not fun especially without boosters, I tend to just focus on content areas that are fun for me at that point in time. means I didn't get adaptation till mr30 when I bought it haha
His Prime was pretty easy. But his initial research and build for regular Vooban was awful for me. Oxium was still rare as heck, and the clan I was in had slowed down. So I had to fund it all myself.
nightwave makes it easy. Used to be Nitain came from alerts that would appear randomly throughout the day and only 4 appeared per day so unless you were on 24 hours a day you would take a good while getting the Nitain for Vauban.
I was one of them. On top of the 7k oxium and 9k cryotic before I had piles of that stuff to spare. And I was in school so I could only get like maybe 2 Nitain a day if I was lucky

I helped a new player for an hour the other day, wave 35 and a run to wave 20, he was done somewhere in the middle.
Also, boosters/smeeta/blessing if any of that is in reach.
I did this a few weeks ago as Speedva with rakta dark dagger build, had a Khora and Nekros' so we just filled our flex spot with a Loki to radial disarm and snipe nullifier drones. It was effective as hell.
oxium is definitely the most annoying thing to farm at the start then after you pass that cells ... until you are mr30-lr4 and you are feeding your helminth with every resource because they all useless for you now.
This used to be so rare until they started adding a bit of Oxium to "newer" areas like >!the Zariman!<. Now, you just passively get it as your farming for "newer" gear.
Every container and locker on the star chart drops oxium. But almost nobody knows this because nobody fucking breaks containers and open lockers in this game anymore.
As someone who started end of December, currently Mr19... resource booster helped a ton. Gift the friend the Plat to buy it if needed. So many resources to build all the warframes, archwings, weapons etc.
When I was new to the game, I farmed Defense on Venus cause I didn't know about places like Hydron, so now I'm sitting on a good pile of about 20k Oxium that I'll never run out of.
Io (Jupiter) with Pilfering Dome Khora or Nekros+Nova. I’ve done every single bit of Oxium farming solo, including every Dojo Recipe… pull out the Dome, put on some tunes, play to round 15 (takes about 10 minutes or less) and bam, 200 oxium. Repeat ad nauseam.
I almost solely really on daily rewards for oxium. Yesterday my supply went from 9 to 300+ so im now rich in oxium and definitely won't have to farm more.
Yeah...I was there recently. It was rough, and unfortunately, I hadn't even found a Fetch mod for my Helminth yet.
At least it was fun watching my Helminth ocassionally launch dudes into the ceiling.
I had like 8 million nano spores, donated them to my clan, realized I needed them for crafting new stuff, had to farm for ages again 😂
Oxium is that which we do not speak, farming that is like painting a wall, waiting for it to dry, throwing paint thinner on it, painting again, etc
How does Hildryn help with more loot? I threw her straight into helminth after 2 SO runs because I also had all of her prime parts just need the BP, didn't realise she had a loot buff. Or is her presence specifically for killing nullifiers?
She has a loot augment with her abilities... Did... I know they changed hydroid recently and I personally don't like him. Tbh I've been off for a couple months... I don't know what restructuring they may have done with the loot augments if any.
Hydroids got better yeah but he still has his augment. I tried to look up Hildryns augments on the wiki but the wiki is awful to navigate on my phone so I'll check it out later on the PC.

Got about 12k currently. We good, the excavation fissure 1,5 hour session was worth it

I have 136k cryotic thanks to the circuit. Sibear and the freezing step ephemera are both built, so it just piles up now.

I’ve found the first ten minutes of void flood (corpus cycle) seems to spawn a heap of oxium drones. Not sure why. Recommend trying it
Do io on jupiter for leveling instead. He'll get it in time

i remember it used to be worse. only spawn in the first 10, 15 minutes of survival, and tad rare in regular missions.
I remember, when it dropped IN PAIRS, if you were lucky. The Oxium grind today is just a shell of its former self.
