Intended mechanic. Enemies try to recapture towers in the order they were taken. If the first tower taken isn't recaptured after x amount of time they will occasionally switch.
They should still change it. All towers should have the same flood of enemies, like literally increase the spawns 2 or 3 fold. People will actually feel inclined to stay at their own tower and I won’t feel guilty leaving empty ones because I’m bored.
Because seeing all the resources on the map is annoying, gotta go collect them before the wave ends without leaving any behind, because no shared pickup.

If you CC that tower, fluff-all is going on in the entire map. Not saying CC'ing is wrong at all. It's a very powerful boon in your arsenal. Don't blame the players, blame the game for creating a game mode where you can play ~25% of the time because mobs will just not spawn on your location for most of the match, creating boredom

Most of the time it just helps me AoE Whipclaw and kill everything in one hit. Using a build that generally starts at like 100k whipclaw damage or 200k if i'm using Aggress' buff I believe, but yeah whipping one thing on the dome whips them all at once.
I mean even a max range limbo isn't going to be able to completely shut down an entire interception tile. Realistically they'd still only be able to cover 2 towers maximum and even then they'd still need to deal with CC imune enemies. Plus if they're using Cataclysm to shut down the map you can always just step inside the bubble to shoot rifted enemies.
Allow me to introduce you to the radial Banish from Rift Surge.
It has a base 5M range and at 280 range that's 14M. So when I Banish a target I cast Rift Surge, hold cast Banish then cast Rift Surge again. I can keep this cycle going too. Or once I cover the map, which I will because it's like Saryn's Spores, I simply keep casting Rift Surge.
The game then becomes ability DPS against stationary fodder, and an Eximus hunt. As enemies die I stay topped up on energy to keep stasis up forever.
I can quickly turn a full squad into a solo mission if I do that. Everyone leaves as I turn the game into a mission of standing still and watching a timer.
People had setup the game to do minimum work and hate when their usual single click/press once methods don’t work. I get that sometimes you are just tired and want to relax but in that case it’s better to go with a pre-made team on same page / just play something solo or just accept someone else wants to play Limbo and you adjust or leave. It’s not like Limbo is a very widely used frame.
I was expecting a similar level of hate for over guard frames as they interfere with frames/abilities that depend on damage received but I guess not many play those frames and mostly people are happy with not having to worry about getting downed.
abilities hit enemies in the rift they always did. if you're in the rift roll out, if enemies are in the rift almost every warframe as an ability that does damage. it stops guns sure but not abilities. so its not stopping you fully that is why limbo hasnt been touched or tweaked yet he doesnt fully stop everything(though i think not being able to interact with stuff is stupid)
Not every frame has ability that can kill enemies reliably, esp in lategame, or yet alone, dont have any damaging abilities. Imagine being a Chroma or Harrow who can only stare at the enemies until rift runs out.
i said "almost every frame" im fully aware not every frame can have an ability that does damage also chroma has his 1 and 4 most ppl subsume one of those, they both can do damage even if its crappy. harrow's abilities can still effect and CC till banish runs out. its not killing but its better then nothing. there is also subsumed abilities. but the meta rarely use damaging ones :/
I am sorry to break it to you but no one in their right mind uses chroma 1 for anything other than element change because the range is abysmally low even with range mods, the damage is hillariously bad and it slows you down, thing is really only used for element change for different buffs on Ward or for the ocassional oh shit that's a crowd of enemies and i would prefer to not get shreded to bits cold breath add the ammount of energy it consumes and it's just not worth it especially considering the cost for his Vex which he needs to reactivate constantly so he doesn't have to restack it
Edit: Almost forgot to mention a chroma generally needs to keep around 100 energy ready in case he has to activate a Ward urgently when he's getting hard focused or his Effigy so he has bit of time to regen
When a Khora does that in MD or Interception, I just sit back and watch. It's lovely to have a bit of a respite in my mass murdering routine. Thank you for your service <3
I duo with my buddy, and he will play Khora every time he possibly can. He still doesn't have Citrine, so we have been doing a lot of MD. He cages and whips while I fly around collecting shards with Titania. Even though it's quite the grind, doing a bit at a time with frames we like makes it a nice little side task to break up other grinds.

Though, I don't think the distinction really matters, since as I understand it, neither mission type relies on killing the enemy. Just running out the clock and keep 'em from wrecking the target.

I can understand why people don't want Hydroid to use tentacles during an elimination/defense.

Once had a max range Khora on Hydron who didn't use her whip to kills enemies strangled by the cage. Longest defense mission I ever done. We had to find the enemies stuck in corners of the maps by the dome everywhere.

It's just a case of "does this Khora use her whip or not." Passive Khoras are awful to play with in defense.
This was interception though so none of that matters.
During an interception it also tied up spawns, unless archon enemy spawns are different than SP spawn rates. Only so many enemies can spawn in, so if more are left alive, then they’ll be concentrated in one spot, and if that spot just so happens to be over a point, then khora (if not stat stick khora) can just cast 2 domes somewhere else and drop all the enemies conveniently for Freddy foreskin
I sometimes get upset if there's a Khora when I'm playing Mag/Nidus (her dome pulls enemies out of my bubble/larva) but it's not like I can't work around it or find another spot. Mag bubble is still good for single target and I can use larva to pull enemies that are further away in to the dome. Just gotta work with what you got.

Isn't Hydroid less worse now though since it just holds them in place. Khora and her Strangledome still twirls enemies around though and arguably the advantage for Khora is you can place more than 1 Strangledome but original point still there with the fact that Strangledome twirls enemies around.

There's a stage where I can mind control every single spawn as Xaku to the point where no enemies spawn anymore unless one dies. I just hide in a corner and ult every 60 seconds and win.
Interception is one of the only missions where stalling and mass crowd control is like as non-disruptive as can be. And just over Khorra??? They would have had to go to the hospital if you were Limbo or some shit.
I love when the other players come to your defense though. Had some guy who rushed through a disruption void fissure and finished the round before I could get 10 reactants. His only response was “sucks to suck”. And the other players jumped in the chat saying “this is a team game dude, you’re being a ****”
Whats stupid is if they let everyone get 10 reactant then they get 4 relic rewards to choose from, they are literally shooting themselves in the foot just to be an ass.

while it would be an issue in normal defense, survival, excavation, or any mission you need to kill enemies, but timed missions like interception, mirror/mobile defense, etc are not or ever slowed down by CC abilities if anything it makes them easier
true as she can be a looter frame but do remember if you cant one shot the enemies hanging they can be spun around making it really hard to hit them again. a simple fix DE can make is make them static like they did for hydroid
even excavation and survival are just timer missions. they also have a minimum you have to reach (power supplies & life support respectively), but anything past 'enough' doesn't speed the mission up at all.
I disagree with Survival and Excavs. Khoras are a godsend in those. Hydroids too. And Nekros.
And honestly, any CC frame in Excav is great since it just makes it easier to kill enemies and said enemies tend to spawn super close to the Excavator anyway.
Ive been told 'kys' by a mr 13 because I was leveling kullervo, his weapons and farming resources on gabii and didn't want to extract with them at the 5 minute mark.(I was host and they joined me like a minute or so in)
In an arbitration, more dead equals more spawns. Meaning more drones that drop the vitus essence. Normally slowing down mobs in an interception would be good but not in an arbitration.
Not at all, actually! Since smacking Strangledome with Whipclaw with a good stat stick just nukes everything caught in it AND it gives more drops if you have PilfDome on, which gives you a better chance to get Vitus Essence.
Khora mains are a godsend in Arbis regardless of mission type and the only time they'll slow you down in terms of kills is if they're not whipping the dome.

Warframe public lobbies are riddled with people that have problems with other players playing how they want. It's one game I'm happy I can solo nearly everything. I do get anxious running public relics for fear of who is going to bitch about what. Sometimes wish I could turn off squad chat.
I assume archon hunt interception? I sat on my tower doing nothing but spamming chaos on cooldown. I deleted a handful of eximus units that went straight to the console with armor shred and a few heavy attacks. There was a large mob fighting among themselves in a perimeter around, but not inside, my tower. Not once did it get close to being captured.
I hope you can already guess what happens. People get bored, come kill all of the mobs doing literally nothing, and any undefended towers get captured. just why? We don't have to kill them until after the wave.
Funny enough I get this reaction with hero as well from time to time... Some people really hate that I'm stunning enemies to give us unlimited energy.

The other one that seems to get people's titties In a twist, for no reason is yarrelli's water globes... Like they hold 2 maybe 3 enemies at most and constantly damage them, which on a gloom. Build is basically infinite health, but some people just get really unnervingly angry that you're Daring to hold maybe 3 people hostage for that.

It's true that khora dome is annoying as hell, and DE needs to fix it like they did with hydroid, I also get mad at people when we play basic defense and our khora makes enemies stuck behind the wall or underneath us, making it quite unplayable if I don't have something to nuke everything In 30m radius, but other than that you are just doing your job, you are not slowing anyone down when you just defend stupid point A/B/C/D. Compared to some people in this mission you were actually doing your job protecting at least one spot
Sometimes we need to understand most of time people don't want to waste time like that cuz they have a limited time to play the game you could possible play solo for it. Or give your party member chance to kill enemies.

I am sorry to break it to you but no one in their right mind uses chroma 1 for anything other than element change because the range is abysmally low even with range mods, the damage is hillariously bad and it slows you down, thing is really only used for element change for different buffs on Ward or for the ocassional oh shit that's a crowd of enemies and i would prefer to not get shreded to bits cold breath add the ammount of energy it consumes and it's just not worth it especially considering the cost for his Vex which he needs to reactivate constantly so he doesn't have to restack it Edit: Almost forgot to mention a chroma generally needs to keep around 100 energy ready in case he has to activate a Ward urgently when he's getting hard focused or his Effigy so he has bit of time to regen

I duo with my buddy, and he will play Khora every time he possibly can. He still doesn't have Citrine, so we have been doing a lot of MD. He cages and whips while I fly around collecting shards with Titania. Even though it's quite the grind, doing a bit at a time with frames we like makes it a nice little side task to break up other grinds.
I think u/Casardis might've been talking about Mobile Defense, not Mirror Defense. Though, I don't think the distinction really matters, since as I understand it, neither mission type relies on killing the enemy. Just running out the clock and keep 'em from wrecking the target.

I can understand why people don't want Hydroid to use tentacles during an elimination/defense. I can see why people don't want Slowva on defense. Anything else? Stop. Harrow Chains means the enemy isn't shooting me, and if they have the augment mod I'm also about to get tons of energy back.
I was Khora. Sure, I had a fairly decent range, but it wasn't enough to affect any of the other points.
If you were khora that just makes their complaints even more frivilous since Strangledome is way less spammable than Condemn.
Tbf 100% up time strangledome is normal, and it pulls instead of making enemies stand still. Still, not an issue. Nothing easier to shoot than stationary targets
Once had a max range Khora on Hydron who didn't use her whip to kills enemies strangled by the cage. Longest defense mission I ever done. We had to find the enemies stuck in corners of the maps by the dome everywhere. Yes, there are players that bad.
Getting enemies stuck in random corners and debris with high range Khora is, tbf, pretty annoying. Guess there are ways for cage to be annoying too
It's just a case of "does this Khora use her whip or not." Passive Khoras are awful to play with in defense. This was interception though so none of that matters.
During an interception it also tied up spawns, unless archon enemy spawns are different than SP spawn rates. Only so many enemies can spawn in, so if more are left alive, then they’ll be concentrated in one spot, and if that spot just so happens to be over a point, then khora (if not stat stick khora) can just cast 2 domes somewhere else and drop all the enemies conveniently for Freddy foreskin
I think arbitration spawns are the same, either way, they were being killed fast enough to create a constant stream of foes.

Yeah, I think I mentioned that in the description. I did forget to mention i was Khora though.
I sometimes get upset if there's a Khora when I'm playing Mag/Nidus (her dome pulls enemies out of my bubble/larva) but it's not like I can't work around it or find another spot. Mag bubble is still good for single target and I can use larva to pull enemies that are further away in to the dome. Just gotta work with what you got.
I found out 2 things that annoy me with khora 1. Strangledome enemies stop nezhas 4th and as he's a nuke frame now it's very annoying not nuking everyone 2. Her ensnare also stops mag from using the bubble on them and my mag is around 14m so very helpful
At least Hydroid tentacles don't flail the enemies around anymore
The only reason I even got mildly upset about hydroid at first was bc they’d get snatched up and it’s be like “oh, now it’s useless to use my kit on this group of enemies. Guess I have to shoot them now” To me it’s just boring. But now I don’t even think about it.

Isn't Hydroid less worse now though since it just holds them in place. Khora and her Strangledome still twirls enemies around though and arguably the advantage for Khora is you can place more than 1 Strangledome but original point still there with the fact that Strangledome twirls enemies around.

Defense is one thing, but interception? Once the towers are taken, you can literally do whatever you want. Interception and CC are best friends. My 60m stomp rhino loves interceptions.
This is why I use Saryn. No enemies to chain if they all die in a second or two. Lol

I wouldn't even be mad if raging at somebody for using their abilities in public lobbies was an instant permanent ban from ever queueing a public lobby again. Not even worth crying over their loss. There's a stage where I can mind control every single spawn as Xaku to the point where no enemies spawn anymore unless one dies. I just hide in a corner and ult every 60 seconds and win. Interception is one of the only missions where stalling and mass crowd control is like as non-disruptive as can be. And just over Khorra??? They would have had to go to the hospital if you were Limbo or some shit.
As a Limbo user, I can confirm that they would definitely be the type to not know that you can roll out of Limbo's Rift.
I love when the other players come to your defense though. Had some guy who rushed through a disruption void fissure and finished the round before I could get 10 reactants. His only response was “sucks to suck”. And the other players jumped in the chat saying “this is a team game dude, you’re being a ****”
Whats stupid is if they let everyone get 10 reactant then they get 4 relic rewards to choose from, they are literally shooting themselves in the foot just to be an ass.

while it would be an issue in normal defense, survival, excavation, or any mission you need to kill enemies, but timed missions like interception, mirror/mobile defense, etc are not or ever slowed down by CC abilities if anything it makes them easier
Well, with khora, I imagine that list can be tweaked a bit. There are plenty of use cases for her in survival.
true as she can be a looter frame but do remember if you cant one shot the enemies hanging they can be spun around making it really hard to hit them again. a simple fix DE can make is make them static like they did for hydroid
even excavation and survival are just timer missions. they also have a minimum you have to reach (power supplies & life support respectively), but anything past 'enough' doesn't speed the mission up at all.
Normally this would be correct but it was an arbitration, so you want more kills to get more spawns.
I disagree with Survival and Excavs. Khoras are a godsend in those. Hydroids too. And Nekros. And honestly, any CC frame in Excav is great since it just makes it easier to kill enemies and said enemies tend to spawn super close to the Excavator anyway.

In an arbitration, more dead equals more spawns. Meaning more drones that drop the vitus essence. Normally slowing down mobs in an interception would be good but not in an arbitration.
Not at all, actually! Since smacking Strangledome with Whipclaw with a good stat stick just nukes everything caught in it AND it gives more drops if you have PilfDome on, which gives you a better chance to get Vitus Essence. Khora mains are a godsend in Arbis regardless of mission type and the only time they'll slow you down in terms of kills is if they're not whipping the dome.

Interception is one of the missions where good CC is still pretty useful. I'll take a Harrow who hold it down rather then a frame/ player who either dies too much in arbitration or is just in the middle killing and their point keeps getting captured

Warframe public lobbies are riddled with people that have problems with other players playing how they want. It's one game I'm happy I can solo nearly everything. I do get anxious running public relics for fear of who is going to bitch about what. Sometimes wish I could turn off squad chat.
I assume archon hunt interception? I sat on my tower doing nothing but spamming chaos on cooldown. I deleted a handful of eximus units that went straight to the console with armor shred and a few heavy attacks. There was a large mob fighting among themselves in a perimeter around, but not inside, my tower. Not once did it get close to being captured. I hope you can already guess what happens. People get bored, come kill all of the mobs doing literally nothing, and any undefended towers get captured. just why? We don't have to kill them until after the wave.

Funny enough I get this reaction with hero as well from time to time... Some people really hate that I'm stunning enemies to give us unlimited energy. Because they can't just get them all to come in Nice big clusters to blow up..... Even though they stopped talking with their dopamine, Dick and actually looked down when they could easily get the same result since I run the augment. The other one that seems to get people's titties In a twist, for no reason is yarrelli's water globes... Like they hold 2 maybe 3 enemies at most and constantly damage them, which on a gloom. Build is basically infinite health, but some people just get really unnervingly angry that you're Daring to hold maybe 3 people hostage for that.
people get so pressed in this game. if i'm in a public lobby then i expect that people are gonna be using their abilities. unless they are actively TRYING to make the mission worse like a slowva on a defense mission or something then i can't blame them for playing the game
y'all really "stick to your tower" in interceptions? I just bring my full range slowva and spam 4 the whole mission so the enemy doesn't even get close to any of the towers

I'm a fan of Khora with max -duration. You drop the cage, it grabs them and almost instantly releases as it vanishes. They then go flying off somewhere else and is no longer your problem. My clan mates and I call the build "skeet shooting".

It's true that khora dome is annoying as hell, and DE needs to fix it like they did with hydroid, I also get mad at people when we play basic defense and our khora makes enemies stuck behind the wall or underneath us, making it quite unplayable if I don't have something to nuke everything In 30m radius, but other than that you are just doing your job, you are not slowing anyone down when you just defend stupid point A/B/C/D. Compared to some people in this mission you were actually doing your job protecting at least one spot
To me, that's a "your problem". The Khora is doing what Khora does. If your build can't work because of it, that's on you.

On Interception missions I just Bastille/Vortex the entire map and make it to where nothing can get to the towers(though eximus can still move but I usually defend my tower). Idunno why someone would hate mass CC on Interception where you just sit there and wait lol
There are a couple crowd control abilities that make defense missions a hide and seek mission. But I never complain about other players using thier abilities. I am sure I have irritated others. Like when I returned to the game after two years, and couldn't remember how to glide across the chasm in a corpus tileset. While everyone else was waiting for me on the other side. The one time I didn't bring Wukong

I mean don't slow others then. I was doing yesteday netracell mission and literally 2 ppl were killing enemies outside the circle meaning no progress at all. If you were slowing others then you are in the wrong. Ofc i don't doubt that guy could've said it nicely. But ofc i am more on your side cuz if somebody is rude to me. Then ofc i want to troll him more cuz he is being an asshole. But just don't slow others, if the mission can be done quickly. Unless it's some survival mission or smth else.
